Been that way since the physics update last year. If you keep the amps reasonable when powering up, as a real driver would. I find the speed doesn't get out of control. On a German loco such as the BR155 for example, it wont accept sustained high amps. The throttle drops off. Maybe the 66 should be doing the same?
