I'm going to do a monthly development insight into one mod I release within the current month (e.g. January for this one) whether it has released or not to explain what goes on behind-the-scenes January's 'Development Insight': Case Study: (TG08) Immingham Revisited (66) We chat to the OP of this thread, TrainGeek08 to talk about the scenario '(TG08) Immingham Revisited (66)' that is awaiting the release of Formation Designer at the minute Why is Immingham Revisited delayed? TrainGeek08: "Immingham Revisited is delayed due to Formation Designer not being released, so I cannot create the consist required for the scenario to be as accurate to the real tour as it can be." What is the background of this scenario? TG08: "The scenario is based around UK Railtours' Immingham Revisited railtour which ran from St Albans (City) to Immingham in November 2017. The player will drive from Leicester (Platform 2) and Nottingham (Platform 7) via the slow lines as per the real-life working of the tour." Did you enjoy creating it? TG08: "Yes, I really enjoyed creating this and using the new portals on Midland Main Line really help bring the scenario to life." Did you use reference material i.e. Working Timetables to create this scenario? TG08: "Yes, I used the appropriate Working Timetable (May 2017) for the MML, and most workings should be present within the scenario. It is a new technique I am revisiting for backdated UK scenarios to make the timetable within the scenario as accurate as I can." What will the formation look like? TG08: "The formation is top and tailing EWS Class 66 'Sheds' and 7 Mk1 carriages in between them. The real tour had 11 Mk1s, but it needs to fit on the platforms along the route so I needed to shorten the consist a bit." Will you do more railtour-based scenarios in the future? TG08: "Oh yes! I will definitely create more if a particular railtour working catches my eye, so watch the Roadmap to see if any railtour-based scenarios appear in the future." Thanks to TrainGeek08 for taking the time to answer those burning questions for us Conclusion: Anyway, this is it then, hope you enjoyed this one, put your thoughts below, from me, TrainGeek08, I'll see you soon for another CC release announcement or suggestion, enjoy the rest of your day and goodbye Release date changes: Kassel-Wurzburg: Double Jet (RP BR 193/DB BR 182) - Sunday 7th January 2024 to TBC Midland Main Line: Immingham Revisited (66) - Friday 12th January 2024 to TBC
Wait. Aren't the Mk1s in game vacuum braked only. Since you are using the class 66 which is air braked only.
This is looking good mate, I will be eagerly awaiting 66789 (is it only me that finds that a really satisfying number?) and the double peaks on NTP. Keep up the good work! I do believe you are correct there, apart from the BGs I think all MKIs are vac only and the 66s air only. I am sure TrainGeek08 will figure something out though.
