Various locos, routes and bundles between 30%-70% off. Sales seems to have increased quite a bit since the game left game pass, I’m also sure I heard niddertalbahn wouldn’t enter a sale until 2 years after release, but I could be wrong. though I will add it seems to be a marketing mistake for a sale on release day of an addon, it may drive down release day sales which are often the biggest selling day for that content.
50% off TSW4?, getting there, not quite tempting enough yet. edit : it's actually 60%, but still not tempting enough, I'd chuck a tenner at the full fat version though lol
I got Nidderltabahn and went for Mainlabahn even though the latter has some quality issues that i read about on another thread did say a update being worked on to hopefully resolve some issues ..so with that and sale ill give it a chance
Getting Nidderlalbahn for sure. Always liked the look of that one. Thinking about Midland Mainline, East Coastway and Bahnstrecke Bremen - Oldenburg. Those last two for $11CND each is hard to pass up.
Going to fill a few gaps with this sale, great stuff. Have to say the Sale situation on Xbox has been significantly better since TSW3 left Game Pass.
The only route I haven’t got is Horseshoe Curve and won’t bother as it is not worth £24.99 The Special Edition at £35.99 is a bargain, only £6 more than Berninalinie, today’s release and you get £280 of content for a bargain price. For those who haven’t got TSW4 on Xbox this is a must have.
Anyone know if niddertalbahn DB 628 is affected by the Xbox core issue of Z-Fighting? It’s a route I’ve been thinking about getting for some time and I think I may pick it up( might as well if theirs no issue)
I had to rub my eyes. The only one I haven't got and potentially interested in is Glossop as I've got all the other British offerings. Anyone got thoughts on it for a tenner?
Question. In my Xbox store the discounts only showed under TSW4. Under TSW3 the DLC are normal price. Also in the in game store it is normal price. If I buy the TSW4 version of Peak Forest in this case. Does it work on TSW3 or do I've to upgrade to TSW4?
I bought Niddertalbahn for TSW4 Today and the Store tells me I also have the Version for TSW3. I hope this helps you further.
I picked up Bremen - Oldenburg and was wondering what DLCs are required to get the biggest timetable. Sorry I didn’t know if I should ask this here or create a new thread.
I'm not 100% sure but I think for all playable Service you need the following DLC - Kassel-Würzburg - Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr and BR 101 - Dresden-Chemnitz - Ruhr Sieg Nord und BR363
I picked up ECW, which I instantly like (I don't know why). I only bought MML a week or so ago (ho-hum, I've learnt my lesson re impatience), which I'm finding a bit meh to be honest.
Have s look at this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...mnYzyISBja6wiEQ4tBs8h2DyFJM/edit?usp=drivesdk
Last sale I picked up NTP. I dont have TSW4 and it did let me download the TSW3 version if that helps.
So I've bit the bullet then and finally picked up tsw 4 in this sale, I'm also thinking about sherman Hill because it adds layers to antelope Valley I think. Can anyone tell me if this ones any good? Also eyeing up ECW, bremen-oldenburg or MML but can't decide to be honest.
Hi mate, I don't think I am going to buy it as it still isn't my cuppa tea really, however Coursetim's response above will hopefully be of help.
I was looking at Niddatalbahn and Midland mainline as potential to pick one up in the sale, but being on Xbox I can’t find much on whether core issue Z-Fighting is affecting the locos involved in them dlcs, i dare not risk that so going to have to pass on this sale and continue the wait. I know it’s pretty bad on the GWE 43 so maybe the same on the MML 43, but that’s all the information I can find, even at 1080p on YouTube it’s quite hard to look for that kind of thing when I’ve tried.
I’ll have a look later tonight, I’m on XSX. You’re talking about the flickering issues on textures in the cab, right?
Just driving NID again for a clean confirm that Z-Fighting definetely is no issue here. You might turn controller vibration off though due to the joint track layout but that's not really a thing. Can't speak for MML though as I don't own it.
Can confirm JonnE’s experience, no shimmering whatsoever. And yeah, some excessive vibrations :’) So I say go for it! A great route, my favourite along with Riesa-Dresden. A lot of love went into this one. I don’t have MML either, though.
appreciate that info, thank you Yea I turned down the vibrations and many to off for ECML/801, it’s very excessive on that route and train.
Picked up the Deluxe Edition from the XBox Brazil store. Cost just over £15, which was pretty much my biting point. Good thing about buying from Microsoft is that this is a Play Anywhere title so it can also be installed to PC. I'm also considering the Peak Forrest dlc. I'm a bit hesitant though as it uses assets from Spirit of Steam, which I already own.
Is there a reason why the German Edition is not included in the sale? It's the only route I am interested in (got all the UK routes on Steam and not buying twice), so will have to wait until the Easter or Summer sale....
Nope, they are different editions. Austrian Regional Edition is £14.99 German Regional Edition is £29.99
Depends on the sale. There are certain rules that need to be followed or only a limited number of things can be on sale, etc.
Ah, now I see it The recycled Dresden route. One point of note though: If you already own it then it's a free update with TSW4 standard edition...so you could just as easily buy that instead.
It's free only if you owned it previously. It's paid for people who don't own the route or completely brand new to tsw
You can ask the train Sim World Discord Community between the two routes for purchasing. If you ask them between the Midland main line and Niddertalbahn Bad Vilbel Glauburg-Stockheim it's the NID winning out over the MML
I own TSW4 and around 90% of all the dlc on PS5. I decided to buy TSW4 on the Series X also and grow my collection on there too. Mostly UK content though. Unless my eyes deceive me or the TV I use. (Sony Bravia 75” X89K) The fidelity looks a lot better on the Series X, than the PS5. I really want to dive further into this topic and make screen by screen comparsions. Wheres digital foundry’s when you need them.
By the way if you purchase it for the Xbox and you have a Windows 11 PC you should be able to install the game on your PC using the same Xbox license I do this to gain PC mods.
