Yeah, point established, you could've not made my point any clearer if I paid you to do it.

We got a lot of info about GTA 6 in that trailer, we know absolutely nothing about TSW5...

Even with mods, i’ve been playing the various versions since 2010, and from a graphically aesthetic viewpoint TSC cannot match TSW, not even with a high end set up, as TSW is relative.

Not really strange, DLC which involves running on greens most of the way with a 66 thrown in a couple of times a day. More entertainment on Daytime TV to be honest. One trick pony routes and awful attention to bugs.

Same. I’d like to see a Pacific Surfliner route, either LA-Oceanside or something like Oceanside-San Diego, or some route out of DC.

Can't do much about dc since dtg have no marc or wmata license. Unless you mean something else with dc

Because there's nothing to say it'll come, that's why. Up until GTA6 was announced, there was also nothing to say it was coming.

What I meant was the only information for GTA6 was an unofficial leak, nothing was determined until it was officially announced.

TSW5 on the other hand, or even TSW in general, has never been leaked. All we've got to go on is past trends.

Not even the literal leaks of TSW3, itself a new game?

Yeah, it will just come, whenever, and be announced a month before release, and everything that was on the roadmap won't come to the "old game", looking at you, 420, that has been on the roadmap since TSW2... Again, you are making arguments *for* me.

I'm not going down this hole again. I'm not making arguments for anyone.

I just refuse to believe, from a small minority of people on this forum (who's only affiliation with DTG is being a customer), that a new version of a game will come. Its speculation, just as with anything else.

In logical terms. A game engine released over a decade ago, can’t match Unreal Engine 4.

I’m looking forward to TSW5. 3 new routes at a reduced price is always good.

It's alright to speculate, but it crosses a line when it's presented as fact.

It's likely to come, but not certain.

    - The interior of every single coach and MU looks better than the normal TSC stuff. Hardly any coaches are detailed as they are in TSW.
    - Have you seen the sunset/sunrise atmosphere since TOD4? Rarely saw that beautiful colours in TSC.
    - DTGs rolling stock in TSW looks and behaves better than their stuff in TSC
    - Every single loco has so many buttons to play with, in TSC this kind of depth is branded with "pro line", "expert line" and something like that and costs way more than loco DLCs in TSW.
    - NPCs look better
    - ...

I play both TSC and TSW, but man, TSC is outdated. It's perfectly fine if people still enjoy it. But saying it's not outdated is a hell of a claim.

I use TSC a lot, with mods and reshade, but it still doesn't look as good as TSW in my opinion. Although, there still seem to be issues with some TSW routes with distant hills which look little or no better than TSC routes and some of TSW's more generic buildings aren't always that detailed.

    TSW looks more natural.

Not my screenshot, it's from the Bernina-Feedbackthread. I don't think mountains in TSC look better :D But yeah, on some routes in TSW the distant scenery is a problem. Not so much on Bernina or Vorarlberg. But some other routes indeed can look off.

Yes you are, you're just oblivious to it, which is arguably worse, that's fine though:|

TSW5 WILL happen, or else the series will die, that's how games work... The only exception to this would be ETS2, but then again, ETS2 has been updated over the years (more so than TSW) to the point that it is a new title, for free.

Not when 2 or even all of the routes are uninteresting or even objectively bad while acting as a paywall for new DLCs, and while breaking mods in the process.

Mods are not every players concerns (console players).
Saying the routes are bad is your opinion and subjective. I personally enjoyed all the TSW4 core routes, and they all had minimum bugs compared to launch dlc content.
Acting as a paywall? Isn’t that like 75% of all routes on the game? TSW3 and TSW4. Nothing wrong with new content, bringing some life to existing routes.

Actually a "new" game with 3 core routes isn't that bad of an idea... The new routes just need to be good

I never claimed my opinions to be objective. You however did by saying "always good", and I proved why that is incorrect.

Or are you one of those who believes that your subjective opinion and that only is valid, if so, that would make sense.

Last time I knew, nothing WILL happen unless there's an official announcement.

But the idea that you have to buy them even if you aren't interested in any of them, to play any new DLCs you might be interested in (either a new route that caught your eye or a new loco for any route you got in the previous editions), not so much. The Train Simulator (Classic) solution would be much better, as you could skip any of the yearly edition you weren't interested in, but could continue to purchase new DLCs.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the base game (with only training centre) can be purchased without those core routes.

Well, for starters, they wouldn't be forced to purchase a route they don't want.

For two, there could be an option for both.

They used to have one in tsw3, but it caused tons of confusion because new players thought it included the core routes and then realized they had zero content so there were numerous posts about that. It wasn't an option in tsw4 and think it is better that way so it doesn't cause confusion and chaos.

I want to drive. I don´t care for running around inside coaches.
Have you seen AP Weather in TSC at sunrise?
I mainly use third party rolling stock, so I don´t care if it´s better
    Yes, true.

    You proved nothing!
I do, and no you’re entitled to your own opinion.

Excuse me chap. No one is trolling. I’m simply having a discussion. I enjoy TSW, even with its bad reputation and I will challenge anyone on here if I don’t agree with what they’re saying.

    390001 is lying. 100% real ;)

I think these comparisons are not showing the real picture. The only technical difference is that the models are rendered by UE and can make use of more advanced shaders.

It's all up to the developer, no matter if he exports his work to TSC or TSW. The jump from TSC to TSW was hardly as revolutionary as from MSTS to RS/RW/TSC.

Here's a few shots from the ICE1 from 3DZUG for TSC:
    1.png 2.png 3.png 4.png 5.png

Though you can't really "walk" in TSC, this DLC has defined a large number of camera positions for each coach, making you seemingly walk through it by pressing the cursor keys.

toxicity is NEVER justified... yes, you can be angry, you can be vocal about it, as long as you keep it civilized, without attacks or downright abuse at times... so no, toxicity is NOT acceptable in ANY circumstances... if you are angry, thats ok, natural, but if you turn toxic, it's completely on YOU... as some author once said about George RR Martin GoT series, I paraphrase "they arent your b.tches"

and yes, they do mistakes and should be held accountable, but nothing gives any of us right to behave like jerks just cos we dont get what we want or cos sth they havent done... we can call them out, talk, but leave toxic at the door, as some say
