I would personally love the Northern Line as the trains are pleasant and the route covers some renowned places
It's a different engine they use to build the route. They could use the TSC line as reference and that'd be about it. Also, Just trains made the metropolitan line I believe for TSC. So even if you could port over TSC routes, there'd still be less chance of it happening by dtg if it was originally made by JT. Though yes, I would quite like to see some s stock in tsw.
I agree. It seems to be a divide in thoughts regarding this topic but I believe the best network, the London Underground mainly operates on ATO with an option to drive on manual. We can not miss the opportunity to get a London Underground line
Despite my preferences, we could backdate the route if ATO is undesirable. Difficult on the Victoria Line which has always had ATO, but for other lines maybe...
Ah well you should enlighten us with what DTG is actually doing then since you seem to know. The Piccadilly Line is not the only London Underground Line that runs manually, there's the Bakerloo Line which we have in game, the Waterloo & City Line, the entire Metropolitan Line North of Finchley Road, and the District Line South of Putney Bridge, and West of Stamford Brook. Additionally, lines which run on ATO or CBTC/TBTC are operated manually on weekends, such as the Central Line, Jubilee Line, and Northern Line.
It would be great for it to feature in TSW4 and although it is unlikely you cannot be certain unless you have evidence.
You are correct and there is another problem with the Jubilee line the Eastern extension having platform screen doors therefore it will require the training center to have platform screen doors when needed.
dtg were considering to do the picadilly line or bakerloo line for tsw2, but due to the bakerloo line being easier they made that

Does anyone have an idea when the February roadmop will get released? I was also wondering whether anyone has any speculation about new routes
It will be delayed a little so not the usual date. We already know 2 routes so we might get more info on those and maybe release date (goblin line, rosenheim-salzburg). We might get a us route (unknown other than it's something to look forward to. Brandon who was responsible for Boston and signals worked on it so we know it will be good). We might get more info on the peak forest 104. Also maybe content further down the line, but that's also unknown
Is there meant to be another UK route in the February roadmap? I am hoping for a great London Underground route and I hope the reason for delaying the roadmap is that they are working on a substantial project.
I hope they have another London Overground route such as the North and west London line and there is some speculation but I am just passing on other rumours. I would prefer LU but LO would definitely be a great route.
The only thing I wonder about in the next versions will be: Combining any two routes and adding more content...
Do you have an idea whether they will do the NLL alongside the Goblin or any other London Overground routes
No. Nobody knows anything. Goblin line will only include goblin line since that was in the one and only teaser they gave
Please bring London Waterloo to Aldershot London Waterloo to Reading. Add Ascot to Aldershot. Thank you
You can keep praying every year but there won't be a DTG route for Japan. I don't even think they have an employee who speaks Japanese to negotiate with the rail firms. It's all about licensing. Also a new country = new assets to create = more work. I'm willing to bet real money it will be a UK Commuter Route + German S-Bahn/RE + American freight / European S-Bahn.
that wouldn’t ever be a factor in whether the licence can be achieved, you don’t need employees to speak certain languages to have routes in TSW they would either hire a translator (person or use a device), or the person who they are speaking to is able to speak English.
>hire a translator >have an employee who can speak Japanese pick one If you ever dealt with a Japanese client in your working life you'd know the rolls and hoops you have to navigate when dealing with Japanese corporate structure. There're far more involved things than hiring someone with a JLPT N1 certificate to send an email asking "Can we use your logo?".
of course as with any licence there is more than talking, I was just saying all of DTG’s employees could speak only English and it wouldn’t make a difference for any countries licence obtainment. we were only referring to talking here, your translator isn’t the negotiator or legal advisor
The details of the license aren’t known though, whether DTG can use it on a separate thing may not be the case.
I'm not referring to the talking. I'm talking about the whole process of securing agreement to do a route. If you want a license from a UK firm you just send an email and they will most likely let you have it for free and even invite you to their depot. Japan is totally different. There's a good reason why DTG never had a Japanese route and likely never will. All the Union workshop's routes don't have branding. It will always involve formal finance and legal agreements and this is unique to Japan, plus extensive communication and quality control because reputation matters a lot. Dealing with a Japanese company is dimensions harder than western companies who speaks English. Trust me I work a lot with Asian clients, we always send emails in local language because they are not obliged to speak English.
I was referring to the talking part originally, I didn’t comment on the other processes No it’s not as simple in the U.K. as send an email, jobs done Each country will have its own legal stuff, doesn’t make it a right off.
It'll be unbranded like its TSC counterpart. The only thing I'm wondering is if the included stock will be livery editor compatible. Because even if it is, no one is gonna be allowed to post JR branded stuff on the CC.
Union Workshop could be the only holder (though the agreement how that goes into TSW is hard to explain that way) the information isn’t privy to us to know assuming the licensing is agreed of course as well, I don’t think any info on train and branding has been released as of yet for TSW.
I want to see London Waterloo to Reading, Waterloo to Aldershot, Alton, Farnham via Camberley. On TSW5
what about a GWE modernisation/extension im really annoyed its not in the game and have lost my happiness playing the game because we need overhead, class 387's class345's and class 800's they also would need a extension aswell (i think they should make it as a base route when tsw 5 is a thing and update it or make it a seperate new dlc but still included)
I think GWE would have to be redone regardless of what’s getting added, it’s too old and built in a different way. and the GWR license is at a Halt for new developments so to say. Anything new on GWE would have to be non GWR related and even then I’m not sure they could put out a new release with the older GWR content.
