    I beg to differ.

The smooth running of a game, or anything software related, is highly dependent on the hardware being used.

We're well off-topic now. Please debate issues about game stability elsewhere so this thread can remain focused on the GOBLIN route.

Care to explain why you still get micro tile stutter on TSC then

No, because I don't have TSC.

I am really excited for this additional experience and I will most certainly purchase it. I admire the 710's and I am excited for the route. It is a relatively small route so I am hoping that either a major project will be coming to Train sim world after this route or/and onboard announcements feature.

Does any one have any speculation of whether another LO route will feature after this or have any information about the release date of this route

Train Simulator uses a tile system. When loading a new tile, there will be a stutter as all of the information is loaded in. Often it's pretty minor, but for bigger changes in loaded content it can get quite noticeable. SSDs help, but they do not prevent the issue. It is a design issue with Train Simulator. TSW uses a similar system, but usually the stutters are much smaller, although they are still there.

Apropos of nothing. I have class 710 moquette design cushion covers on my sofa. This may add slightly to the immersion, especially if riding as a passenger.

This might be the first route DLC that I buy on day 1, if it is sensibly priced of course.

I don't live anywhere near London, and don't know much about the geography, but I do like busy commuter routes and loved SEHS and BML. So this route looks quite exciting to me.

It’s a great route on TSC. It isn’t the busiest the service frequency is not that intense for a route that’s 45 minutes end to end but what I like about it is the rural feeling it has yet still being in London.

The actual moteque used in the IRL 710 is much darker than the cushion unless the light is not helping with your picture IRL is like this:

Looks to me like the standard Overground moquette? Would be happy to see the differences

Oh wow I can’t believe I never noticed that! Just searched it up and the 378 seats are yellow orange and brown while the 710’s are orange brown and green. Hopefully the replication we get in game will have the correct moquette, though I’m not too worried as DTG did a perfect job recreating the bakerloo barmann moquette

There is an ongoing refurbishment replacing the moquette on the 378s to that used on the 710s; as part of this the 378s are also being repainted in a 710-style livery.

    Slightly off-topic but...

I worked for Central Trains from 2001-2006 at Birmingham New Street, as platform staff, and Class 150s mostly ran the Walsall-Birmingham route.

My main memory of the Class 150s were flooded toilets, that made every Class 150 smell like a mobile sewage container in the summer months... think most passengers had probably suffocated before the train got anywhere near Bescot Stadium.

Be glad those 150s have gone, the air should smell nicer now.

The 710s never had the original moquette design so I doubt they'd mess it up.

Then again, they somehow got it wrong with the 465... Three times.

Correct interiors add to the immersion.

There still exists an option to ride as a passenger.

Just because your only interest is driving the train, does not mean no one likes riding as a passenger. The option exists for a reason.

    Trains carry passengers.
Riding as a passenger is part of the simulation.

Driving the train is also part of the simulation. Also not all trains carry passengers ;)

    Well every passenger train does, and virtually every passenger train has a seating pattern of some kind, therefore;
    It's part of the simulation.
