was playing nidertalbahn in TSW 4 and was snowing and got thunder snow ...it a phenomenon that happens in real life ..Ive experienced it a few times in real life in US ..has anyone else experienced it playing TSW4 or in real life first time its occured for me in dynamic weather..thunder snow is when thunder and lightning occur during a snowstorm.
Yeah it happens quite often for me since I think that Seasons aren't properly implemented... in the sense that basically, Snow Storm in a way still is registered to be rain storm, therefore the thunder will begin. :/
We had thunder snow in real-life a week or so before Christmas, and thought there had been a motorway crash or something. It was really mental. I'd never even heard of thunder snow, until watching TV news later that night.
Thunder went off outside then heavy rain started made my internet signal go out for 20 min till it passed
i i remember first time in real life i experienced thunder snow i was a kid my friends and i were out sled riding at night on the hill near house we saw flash thought for a second was a power line then heard the thunder seconds later it freaked us out wasnt expecting it...
Frequent occurrence when dynamic weather is involved which is a bit disappointing. Not a fan of how dynamic weather has worked out tbqh
While the Dynamic Weather feature was really welcome, it is not without some really annoying bugs. Too many thunderstorms. The UK has a lot of rain, a very small fraction of which results in lightning. Thundersnow is even rarer. I've only seen it twice in 50 years and I'm a weather obsessive. Winter precipitation is annoying too. Most precipitation during the UK winter is rain but TSW just gives us snow if you're set in December, January or February. The mist/fog has made it a bit better and it's a good feature but the mix of likely weather needs to be adjusted depending on the location of the route. I'm looking for a new remote job, if Focus want a data guy.....
Actually, the snow starts on a random November date and ends on a random February date. The start and end dates change though.
That's interesting thank you for that. It's a shame it doesn't also have a random on/off coding too. Isle of Wight, Cornwall, East Coastway are all based on the south coast where snow is far less common, particularly below 200m ASL.
I usually do custom weather ..but occasionally do dynamic sometimes i forget to change it before i play so i just go with it..but noticed once the rain or snow fog starts it keeps doing it most of the remaining time in whatever im playing ..someof the levels where the lighting seems too bright i set custom weather and increase cloud cover makes it less bright
The weather in TSW4 is not intended to be realistic i guess... Its more an experience and thats implemented on a way that you see a changed weather. If they implement it on a 100% realistic way you never experienced a weather change on a run. Most runs in TSW are between 45/75min and if you look outside than you noticed nearly nothing in this time mostly. So its more fun than reality
Very interesting on a European route. This type of weather is common too Oakville subdivision because it's on the Great Lakes since thunder snow is typically associated with lake effect snow
