This suggestion is mainly aiming at expanding the amount of freight variety within the game. Unfortunately, I am only familiar with Swiss and German Freight Cargo. However, feel free to add US and UK suggestions ^-^ So, Three things I've been mostly focusing on were Taschenwagen, Flachwagen and Tank Containers. First we have the Taschenwagen, they are designed to carry truck trailers, which is a common sight across Europe. They come in all shapes and sizes... Really, there are so many, but generally are usually somewhat similar. Details like that that can make the game much more immersive, a feel that the trains come from all sorts of origins and destinations. here is a wiki article to explore much more about it, it's pretty fascinating to see the different models that have been manufactured. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taschenwagen Second, we have the Flachwagen. We technically already have one... but it is primarily used to transport lumber. It would be nice to see more variations of them, often used to carry construction materials. If possible, these construction materials could maybe be randomized every timetable service you select to keep it unique and different. Finally, we get to something that I've wanted since Hamburg - Lübeck was released and that is Tank Containers. Tank Containers are basically Liquid tanks that can be stacked with shipping containers without any issue. These are very common on European intermodal cars. As you could guess, I couldn't add more image examples as there's already 5 but I hope you understand what I'm trying to suggest. There's loads more freight wagond that could be added, to add more variety. No day is ever the same.
For modern US Freight cars we are missing..... -More variation on tank cars. -2 bay covered hoppers -GSC Flatcar -Woodchip Hopper/Gondola -Spine Cars -Steel Coil Car Outside of that most cars are specialty cars.
Agreed, I'm especially fond of the spine cars. Honestly though, I wouldn't mind specialty cars being added into scenarios, bringing for a more challenging experience.
Some of the newest modern diesels and rebuilt power should be added. I want ET44ACs/C4s, SD70ACe-T4s, and Siemens Chargers in game. Some of the rebuilds could include: UP's C44ACMs, SD59MXs, and GP62s, CSX's SD70ACs, CM44AHs, SD40-3s, GP40-3s, and GP38-3s, NS's SD60Es, SD70ACCs, SD70ACUs, SD40Es, SD33ECOs, and GP33ECOs, and BNSF's AC44C4Ms, GP60M-3s, SD32ECOs, and GP39-3s. Wabtec and Progress Rail have each been working on Battery-Electric Locomotives, and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Locomotives are being built and tested by CP Rail and other manufacturers. I want all the US rolling stock that have been suggested. I also have a few suggestions: -Boeing Fuselage Trains -Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) Trains -Articulated Auto Racks and also newer designs of autoracks -Excursion and Business Passenger Trains -UP Rocket Booster Train -Roadrailer Trains -Nuclear Waste Cars -Trash Trains
Even we need more tank cars variations for german trains. There is only one tank car model. At least 2 other different ones, might be available.
I agree with this, this game just needs more flair. I don't understand why it takes so long for them to add these things in though.
These are sometimes found on UK intermodal trains as well so it would be nice to add them to routes where they are most found (maybe the AI freight services along the WCML on Bakerloo Line?) Great suggestion
Boeing fuselage trains would be cool to see. I’m not really interested in freight, but would be for this.
It would give a good bit of spice within the game that it needs, especially for American freight. It's one of the things I wish DTG would pay attention to, because it is effective when one takes note.
