(The last thread on this topic got moved to troubleshooting for some bizarre reason that was never explained.) This is a fundamental problem on Xbox: clicks, pops, obviously cycling audio, volume level changes after, say, a horn has been sounded (BCC and MML are particularly bad with this one and I noticed it on ECML the other day), etc. I remember Matt saying that this problem was understood but that memory savings from elsewhere were being looked at first before a solution could be implemented, and that it would require a rebuild and redeployment of every single DLC (affected). What happened? Honestly, this is a bad bug (or set of bugs) that fundamentally affects the all-round user experience.
DTG Alex Can someone at least explain why this has been moved, please? I don't think that's an unreasonable question to ask. Where's the troubleshooting aspect in all of this?
We are sorry to hear that the audio quality on Xbox consoles is affecting your enjoyment of the game. However, General Discussion is not for bug reports, please read the pinned thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/how-to-report-a-bug.73264/
I appreciate your reply and I have (now) read the pinned thread. I am slightly confused though because bugs do seem to get discussed in feedback and general discussion all the time. Also, given that this problem has been openly discussed by Matt and others on live streams, including mention of a fix, I don't understand how troubleshooting is appropriate given that it's not actually troubleshootable, i.e. it's a bug and a known one at that.
