I'm playing on PC, on maximum settings, on a 7800x3D 3080TI 12GB and have 64GB DDR5 Ram. So no, I'm not on a console or a "cheap" pc.
Maintalbahn has well documented issues, just check the feedback thread.

WCL is a TSW2 route though, that's my point. WCL is definitely worse I agree. But DTG haven't released anything as rushed feeling as Maintalbahn in several years.

But regardless I don't want to detract from the stunning work that has been done on WSR. Excellent job to all involved in turning this into one of the best looking routes in the game.

I hope they’ll consider remastering other older routes

Anyone know why I’m getting fuzzy cab windows on the 33, 52 & 47 WSR locos (the WSR’s 08 is ok), other 47 versions (NTP) seem ok too?
I presume its a mod perhaps, but I’ve removed any specific WSR related ones and still have this problem, anybody else have it?

Check for the updated CabCam mod, it's already uploaded but needs manual approval by a trainsimcommunity admin. In the meantime, just delete the mod.

Just playing the new updated WSR route now on PS5 and its beautiful, I can notice the difference. I am just currently driving towards Blue Anchor station and I noticed the Sea, the Sea looks so much better now, they have done a great effort on the Sea and Beach. The Water looks much more realistic, as does the sand. Its little things like that which make a big difference, not just the usual Loco and track upgrades.

If you guys start playing the new update today please check out the Sea and Sand.. it looks much better and real.

Great effort.. I am very pleased. I like it a lot.. I hope DTG will update more old routes, like GWE for example. Well done DTG, you see its things like this that can start to build trust between us the customer and you.. its very important that you build and gain our trust again because a lot of us have been very frustrated with the constant bugs on routes that we pay hard earned money for and then for it to never be fixed and just totally ignored. BUT this WSR FREE upgrade helps build back my confidence in you and I feel you have put a lot of effort into this route and all for free.. and we thank you! and I feel we deserve it as well for being loyal customers. 10/10 effort for WSR

it was more of a passion project started by 1 dev in his free time instead of dtg making it official and putting it as part of the release schedule. So hopefully, the developers can work on upgrading more routes in their free time.

Very nice update, vast improvement on the original - night and day. Loving the variety on this route now, it's a real layer cake!
I was reminded of my visit last year so that shows how good the scenery is, spot on - thank you Liam.

Have to say, I’m quite chuffed about the update. Just had a go at the early morning 4F goods train and it was really nice to stretch her legs a bit (flawed as she might be). The whole route feels a lot more atmospheric to me. Well done, indeed. :)

I tried this new route and loaded the Flying Scotsman. The loco was backwards, is that the way it is supposed to be?

Its almost like passion products with care an attention are the key to customer happiness (NTB, BPO and this) :D

From what I've seen it looks amazing!

I imagine the 4F sounds very good at the slower speeds as well? :) As they got a bit muffled above 30mph

I’m quite happy, but I don’t really know what a real 4F sounds like, so take my impressions with a huge grain of salt. :)

Potentially silly question time but here goes, if you have TSW3 will WSR receive any of these improvements?

Nothing was mentioned in the article so I think it’s TSW 4 exclusive

Since it contains some of the new TSW4 visual things, I'm going to say most likely not.

Tsw3 is no longer supported. It's getting some smaller bug fixes like those for mml and the trenton tt, but in terms of content, it will only be tsw4

Just shows what can be achieved with a little more time, love and affection given to a project. If DTG allowed more time for development at the initial stage, we might not be so grumpy as a community.

Installed it the only trains usable on timetable mode are FS and 150 yet there was a class 101 near the minehead turntable why wasn’t this train in the list of trains I could select

Probably cuz it doesn't run. In the release article, it's under a section discussing the original timetable and free roam options. This is mainly a steam gala tt, not a diesel one

There are seven Class 101 services available in the "2017 gala" timetable but you need TVL installed to access them.

Great western is actually pretty accurate in my view, the run between Reading and Hayes especially you see exactly what you would from a train with the field patterns, buildings largely on point only issue I have is the viaduct at Hanwell with the scenery looking a bit basic. West Cornwall local I feel needs an update, a few more features like wildflower meadows could be added to give that bucolic west country vibe that the re mastered West Somerset has on point.

You will need Peak Forest to have the correct remaining steamer layers on.

For those having trouble with this Class 47 hauled service, make sure to set the Combined Brake to Release and close the ejectors on the trailing Jubilee.

There seem to be a few issues with how things are set up at the start of these runs. Posted in the other thread about being unable to release brakes on the 4F hauled demo freight. Turns out there is a 8F on the rear and you have to sound the whistle twice for the rear loco to release brakes. Thanks to Lamplight for putting me straight on this, but there ought to be some indication to the player.

I don't think so as it utilizes many of the TSW4 upgrades including the lighting and new environmental enhancements.

You can also just manually head to the 8F and move the main brake to the release position (ensuring that both ejectors are closed). Then the 8F is neither creating nor destroying vacuum, meaning the brakes can be entirely controlled from the 4F.

I'm guessing Scotsman is too long for the WSR turntable.

So I already have WSR dlc in TSW3. If I purchase TSW4 will the WSR dlc need to bought again?

The Scotsman does indeed fit on the turntable, DTG made the turntable bigger than the real one.
