    In this suggestion I'm going to be suggesting The Bittern Line that runs on the Greater Anglia network as a regional route from Norwich to Sheringham. I think in total I've seen one suggestion on this line but there could be more! And in my opinion which I know others can agree on, this is a beautiful line serving the north of Norfolk. Stunning beaches surround the northern end of the line bringing the perfect beach services to the game. From Norwich to Hoveton & Wroxham (just 2 stops up the line) is double tracked and then after Hoveton & Wroxham it turns into a single track up until Cromer (5 stops away from H&W) and after Cromer it goes back to single track up till Sheringham. But interestingly, at Cromer you have to stop and switch cabs to do then carry on to Sherringham/Norwich, similar to the Glossop Line already in game it will work the same way as when you arrive into Glossop (but I beg if a cab change over route does appear into the game again, I beg it isn't made in separate services, it's annoying how AI takes over the train, just make it so an objective pops up to change cab ends). The Bittern Line is around 22 miles long and takes an average of 55 minutes to complete a single journey.

    Services:
    Norwich - Sheringham;
    Monday to Friday, 15 services a day
    Saturday, 17 services a day
    Sunday, 13 services a day

    Sheringham - Norwich;
    Monday to Friday, 16 services a day
    Saturday, 17 services a day
    Sunday, 14 services a day

    Stations:
    The stations along this route are as follows;
    • Norwich
    • Salhouse
    • Hoveton & Wroxham
    • Worstead
    • North Walsham
    • Gunton
    • Roughton Road
    • Cromer
    • West Runton
    • Sheringham

    Some of these stations are 1tp2h (1 train per 2 hours). And these stations are;
    • Salhouse
    • Worstead
    • Gunton
    • Roughton Road
    All these 1tp2h stations alternate between services. If you don't know what I mean here is the example:

    1. Norwich, Salhouse, Hoveton & Wroxham, North Walsham, Gunton, Roughton Road, Cromer, West Runton, Sheringham
    2. Norwich, Hoveton & Wroxham, Worstead, North Walsham, Cromer, West Runton, Sheringham
    Not all services do these stations at 1tp2h, some would call at all stations.

    Just to add, a good thing about this route starting at Norwich is it can have the chance of adding in the Norwich Crown Point TMD.

    Rolling Stock:

    Class 755/3
    class 7553.jpg

    Class 755/4
    class 7554.jpg

    For the choice of train I personally would prefer and like on this route would be the class 755 since it does bring in 2 variants of the train and I like the train in general. But if I'm going to be honest I wouldn't mind what trains or era would get added.

    Conclusion:
    I would really enjoy this route being added to the game especially with the FLIRTs but again the rolling stock is just my personal preference. But please feel free to add anything I missed or you wish to expand or give opinions. I know I do a lot of GA route suggestions (bad habit of mine I know) but the eastern region needs to be recognised since it is a missing piece to a broken puzzle.

    Good suggestion, the Bittern Line would be nice to see in TSW :)

    Even better, you could make this branch along with the Wherry Lines to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, it might be asking for too much but I think it would be better as you then have the option of which destination you could go to ;)

    Thank you :) (and just to point out I've only just realised I misspelled Bittern in the title I just got a glimpse of it, oooops) Funny you say it should go along with the Wherry Lines, I was thinking to add it in my original post but I was so tired making it I just posted the Bittern Line on its own instead. But asking for the Wherry Lines as an addition to the base route would never be asking for too much! It'll be a treat haha ;)

    Yeah, it would make sense as both routes originate out of Norwich anyway :)

    That would be better as its own route, you could do London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria/Ipswich as a commuter/suburban style route utilising the GEML :)

    But adding the GEML to my Bittern Line/Wherry Lines idea would make the route too long so the GEML would be better as a standalone DLC with the Class 745, Class 720 etc. ;)

    oh man I still discover new possibilities with Dresden Riesa and Hamburg Lubeck... just discovered they added BR182 as a substitute loco on the REX lines, so now I can finally blast full-speed ahead with 7 dostos :D ... best Taurus experience short of actual RailJet :D

    edit: and since I have recently made two gorgeous liveries, having a double blast :)

    I think some part of the East Anglia rural routes will appear, possibly based in the 80s though. The Bittern Line would be good, even better if the North Norfolk Line is included for a bit of preservation fun.

    ATS are releasing this line as an extension for AP's Wherry Lines in Train Simulator Classic and it will, eventually, feature their new Class 755 pack when its released.

    Yes, I really hope DTG do add an East Anglia rural route it would be nice :) And I've been waiting for both of them from ATS especially the 745 and 755 to go with the GEML is well. I think the last update we had about the FLIRT's from ATS was 2022 Christmas. But I wouldn't mind the era of an East Anglia rural route would be a treat for it to come in game.

    I think their next two releases are The Bittern Line and then part one of the Flirt pack which will be the Class 745/0 & /1.
    It's not going to take many types of unit to do a modern route anywhere in East Anglia. Aventras and Flirts and you're sorted.

    Oh really? If thats the case I'll be looking forward to them coming out, thanks for letting me know :) And with the current 90, 360, 321[AP], 86 on the GEML and now the FLIRT's coming and then the Sprinters, 170, 37 plus the FLIRT's again, it provides such a good mix of era's and trains to the player base

    ATS also want to do a Class 720 for their updated/extended modern GEML DLC but "it's way down on the list". So it's going to be a few years unless DTG make one in the meantime.

    That would complete the set for me :D it's nice to have all the trains on the GEML especially if they do a 720

    It would be a shame if it did not feature their main terminal of London Liverpool Street but I get that you have requested the particular branch.

    I couldn't agree more than ANY route going into Norwich would be an excellent choice, no only to demonstrate the latest technology in the modern trains that now runs these routes but to also give DT the opportunity to expand into different routes that start from Norwich.

    The local routes from Norwich are pretty unique, for example, the route to Sheringham requires a cab change-end mid route at Cromer, which later joins onto a Heritage Railway (North Norfolk Railway).

    The route to Great Yarmouth has two completely different lines with one of the lines having a request stop. And the line to Lowesoft has a swing bridge and a number of other unique landmarks.

    The possibility for rolling stock is actually huge here too. I'll list some of them.

    - 150
    - 153
    - 156
    - 158
    - 47
    - 90 or 86 + DBSO or DVT
    - 57
    - 68
    - 66
    - 37
    - Hastings 1001
    - Flirts
    - 170
    - HSTs (to GYM for export)

    The mainline to London would also be epic with even more stock choices.

    Cool suggestion. Would be great to have a route in East Anglia for TSW.
