I've been trying to think about how to present this route in a forum as I believe there would be a lot of potential on this being added.

The really lengthy totally useless paragraph:
We can start at Clapham Junction platform 1, whilst some southern and freight services travel via platform 16 and 17 to and from the BML. We head down the Latchmere junctions, across the Chelsea Harbour pier, the river Thames and into Imperial Wharf. We continue down to West Brompton and Kensington Olympia for the District line, Shepherds Bush for Westfield, beneath the H&C and Circle lines, and shortly lines diverge for North Pole IEP depot, above the GWML before diverging left towards Willesden Junction to join onto the North London Line, whilst some freight and Southern services keep straight at Mitre Bridge Junction to run beside the WCML to join onto or terminate at Wembley Central/Yard (I believe its worth adding Wembley Yard so southern services can just go along the WCML up to Harrow & Wealdstone using the Bakerloo DLC). Of course, some freight join the GWML via Acton Wells Junction, which should also be included in the pack, for some Three Bridges or Newhaven to Acton trains for example.

Back onto the Overground, we also have the North London Line beginning from Richmond, through Kew Gardens and Gunnersbury where district line trains diverge and some freight from Eastleigh and Southampton going via Feltham join.
We continue through South Acton and Acton Central where we pass over Acton Wells Junction, an important point where freight diverge or join onto the GWML, the BedPan line (this doesn't need to be included) and the South West Sidings.
We return to Willesden Junction again where some lines to the Euston-Watford Junction lines and Low level platforms join.
We don't have much description from Kensal Rise onwards till Gospel Oak where the GOBLIN line to Barking begins. I believe that should be a seperate pack however its been included in this suggestion for other purposes. We proceed onto Camden Road where the freight lines for Primrose Hill join.

This does however make some weird decisions with adding the Wembley Yard because if you want some Wembley - Stratford freight trains you would require that stretch of the WCML to make it possible, which then Begs the questions if we should instead have a seperate pack as the WCML Euston - Northampton, but we still have the South West Through Sidings to still make connections possible.

As we head on with our journey, tracks split off for Copenhagen Junction and HS1, which I'm not entirely sure needs to be driveable on except for one particular scenario I'll mention later.
The tracks become 4 lines (ish) through Caledonian Road and Barnsbury and into Highbury and Islington, the end of the East London Line. The access spur onto the ECML can be found between Highbury & Islington and Canonbury where the East London Line waves goodbye to us.
At Navarino Road Junction, one single track leads us onto Reading Lane Junction towards Liverpool Street.
After Hackney Wick, lines diverge towards Temple Mills Junction where you can also find the Eurostar depot and into Stratford platforms one and two, home to the second Westfield. You can also head onwards to Liverpool Street, Colchester and Ipswich from here. Line will also be able to continue further to Woodgrange Park to connect with the GOBLIN.
The GOBLIN line will also extend slightly past Barking to connect into Dagenham Dock with the current SEHS and Barking Riverside.

    Routes
    London Overground:

    -East Croydon - Shepherds Bush

E'ast Croydon - Harrow and Wealdstone (make signal permanently red??)

Freight: only requires GWML or BML DLCs

    Connections to other DLCs:
    BML
    GWML
    SEHS
    And other future DLCs

    Trains
    Class 378: Overground

Class 377: Southern (I don't think this needs to be AI but can be shortened off to Wembley Central or Shepherds Bush)

Class 710: Overground, only if they include GOBLIN, and can be used as AI on the other overground routes.

Class 66: EWS, DRS, DBc, GBRf

    Scenarios
General ideas, doesn't have to be actual scenarios or can just be made by the community.

    "WLL: Wrong Line Running"
Take this train from Clapham Junction to Kensington Olympia on the right side of the line to overtake a broken down train.

    "Primrose Hill diversions"
Due to engineering works Between Willesden Junction and Camden Road you will have to go via South Hampstead and Willesden Junction Low Level.

    "Third rail disengaged"
Your train's third rail shoes have failed to create power during power switch. South Acton or Shepherds bush and you must return to the depot.
(You can also have one for pantographs)

The following ones either require another current or future DLC. They may also be unrealistic.

    "Clapham Junction Platform Works"
Whilst Network Rail prepares for the Northern Line Extension / Crossrail 2, platforms 1 and two have been shut to accommodate longer trains. In the meantime, you will have to drive a service from CLJ platform 17 to Stratford.

    "Rollout replacement"
Due to the delayed rollout of the class 710s, class 378s will be regularly operating in the GOBLIN. Take this class 378 from Gospel Oak to Barking.

    "NLL diversions"
Due to engineering works at Hackney Central, you'll be driving this train from Richmond to Barking using the GOBLIN. C2C trains will provide a shuttle between Barking and Stratford.
    (Some freight versions too)

    "GOBLIN diversions"
Due to engineering works on the GOBLIN, trains are diverted through the NLL. Take this class 710 from Gospel Oak to Barking via Stratford.
    (Some freight scenarios too)

In honesty I literally wrote down anything I could think of, albeit they may be quite unrealistic or don't make sense, I'm sorry.
If you have anything else I could add on with the route, please do mention so.

Good suggestion overall, I see you have tried to make it as detailed as you can, which is a positive :)

    However, you said:
The section between Kensal Rise and Gospel Oak is part of the North London Line though, so it would be included within this DLC and not a separate DLC ;)

The scenarios are great ideas and any developers who read this should take note on those ideas for potential scenarios on the route being suggested because they are great :)

    Once again, awesome suggestion

Oh sorry, when I meant "not much description to add from kensal Rise onwards" I just meant that I had nothing much to write about it, I didn't mean that it shouldn't be included as its obviously a core part of the route

No worries at all, the scenario ideas are great, I personally include scenarios in my suggestions to give the developer ideas for what scenarios should be included and the suggestion on the whole is fantastic :)

    Ah fair enough :)

Took me ages to actually realise that you can't really do a Ripple Lane to Camden Road without actually starting on the High speed tracks which also doesn't make sense but eh I suppose they can get around it

Just a minor point though - the 377/4 doesn't have a pantograph - so can't run those services, I think in real life it's either the 377/2 or 377/7 ? (as both are Dual Voltage - 3rd Rail and OHLE :) 377/4 is 3rd rail only )

Yeah, if you were to do a HS1-based scenario, you would have to start it from HS1 at Ripple Lane but a solution to this is to start the scenario where the train joins onto the NLL :)

That's a fair point Danny, you would need a seperate 377 subclass (which are the /2 (4-car) and /7 (5-car) subclasses) so 377/4s would look out of place on this route but I do see what the OP is trying to suggest with the East Croydon to Watford Junction services :)

So do it the other way? I mean tbh it could go to Ashford intl in place of Dollands moor

That would be a scenario for the Southeastern High Speed route instead of this since it would head to Ashford International ;)

The Class 377/2 and the Class 377/7 subclasses are normally used on those services because they have pantographs to run on the WCML between Watford Junction and Wembley Yard then switch to third-rail on the West London Line to head to East Croydon and vice-versa :)

    I mentioned in the original message :) - the 4 Car - 377/2 and 5 Car - 377/7 (The latter is more 387 than 377 though) :)

    (original Message :) )

Yeah, I'll probs consider removing it tomorrow since it's more for SEHS but would utilise a tiny bit of NLL

It could be a two-part scenario across routes, it would be a first for TSW where there is two-part scenarios across two separate routes in the game ;)

Wai- wait... I thought something was already possible between Newhaven and Clapham utilising the East Coastway and BML? E.g. 6V26 Newhaven - Woking Down Yard only going as far as Clapham

That's in timetable mode, but it would be the same process where Part 1 would be on NLL and Part 2 would be on SEHS :)

Let me guess trying to resurrect the train simulator classic north and west London lines without the gospel Oak to barking route

I mean we can also use the Gospel Oak to Barking line yeah, then we'd actually make it possible for Ripple Lane / Dagenham Dock - Acton / Wembley

Should I also add the GOBLIN to the suggestion guys?

Added the GOBLIN line and removed "High-speed freighr" scenarios ad it was ridiculously stupid

I mean, they disappointingly didn't include the NLL annoyingly (the main route of this suggestion) and plus I only included the GOBLIN so trains could reach Ripple Lane.

I believe they may not do NLL or WLL because it requires linking railways together and then they have to somehow think of connecting routes in a way

Aside from the negatives, they did their job and I am thankful for the GOBLIN route. It could definitely open up some routes in future

Great suggestion! I would happily take this route but I would prefer to have the London Underground personally. These are the best London Overground routes though

I wish they could add it aswell. Stratford to Rochmond/ Clapham Junction. The reason why the route is really slow is due to freight operating on the same section of track which would also be different to other routes.

I would have thought it would be down to having most of it's services stop at every station (at least London Overground) - taking note of Southern on West London Line :) - which I don't think does? )

I wish that you could add the line. It is a mixture of things as to why it is a slower line. Would it be possible to create this route for your game? I am desperate for more London Underground/ London Overground experiences.

Hopefully you will be able to persuade DTG to put the West London Line in TSW4. I am excited for the upcoming roadmap. I will tune in at seven. I am desperate for a London route.

Looks like with route hopping, now is a good time to bring up the NLL to make links between many existing lines possible

Is it possible for that to be the upcoming Alan Thomson route? They already have the 710's and it has two tracks

Would you look at that..... the suggestion is being completed slowly one by one...

I know it's a solo developer so I'm not mad it ends at Willesden Junction, but it would still be nice for an extension to Richmond and Clapham Junction to get that BML route hopping.

I am so glad that they have proposed the mildmay line as the new route. I am hoping for at least one more London route announcement but I am grateful for the upcoming route as it is London based. Great route!

I just wonder if/when they will extend it to Richmond/ Clapham Junction after the release date

Unlikely. Routes aren't extended as such, they're rebuilt with the extension added.

You’re forgetting the leven branch for fife circle though.

there’s always the possibility of the branch. My guess is this solo developer is unable to do it atm given whatever reason (possible time restrictions for example, though 3rd party devs usually have the freedom of time). But we may see one or both branches in the future

    I’m certainly crossing my fingers.

Fife Circle wasn't extended to include the Leven branch, it was already there. They waited until it opened in real life to model it and make it accessible.
