That was me and, yes, Alan Thomson said on a stream that their route would include rolling stock that's already in the game. If I had to place a bet it would be early NSE/Provincial-era Cambridge to either Kings Lynn or Peterborough. Class 31/37/47/101/150/158 territory. Sadly the only NSE-era EMUs we have are 313s and 465s which aren't much use in rural East Anglia.
Rivet have really made a mess of the 150 unit. The Edinburgh to Glasgow route also has so many issues raised by multiple members of the forum. Sincerely hope the 156 is done to match the standards seen in TS.
Check his Twitch, he's a lot more active there. Always at least a stream a week IIRC. Youtube he doesn't post much.
The only consolation I would take from Rivet doing the WHL with a 156, is at least they won't be making a mess of the iconic and much loved Class 27's.
I would take that but would need some Mk3 sleepers and Mk2 A/C stock for the night train, depending on era.
I’m quite surprised nothing else has been leaked this time around other than the NYLI trophies on PS5. Will be interesting to see what else they have to reveal this evening.
The excitement is insane this year last year wasn’t as much I’m definitely praying whatever rivet make (Scottish or not) the sounds aren’t buggered
I reckon that might be because it’s more of a surprise this time. Last year it was all leaked so we were just expecting it. lol.
I'm not excited at all before it, so if it doesn't stay the same afterwards, I can only get more excited (at least if there are some news about the east Asian route from UW).
no it's not the same train by eurostar is a variant with different thing to run btw France and germany different thing the E320 has ATB ans netherlands security system + Belguim and different cabin it's not really the same cabin btw the 2 trains very similar but still different
I'd put money on an Asian route from Union Workshop being shown today. Probably not a lot of money, but here's hoping!
My thoughts exactly. We should’ve learn by now that expectations should be tempered when awaiting dovetail announcements.
Didn't they recently say that they've worked out how to implement tidal water/seas. If I were DTG I'd want to release routes in Germany, UK and US that show that new development in all its glory. For the UK, Riviera Line, C2C, Edinburgh to Dundee spring to mind. The LIRR to Port Washington goes over a tidal river. For Germany Rostock to Sassnitz.
Hopefully we'll see the new tidal water in action on the potential new London Overground Route at Barking Riverside.
Riviera line would be nice - more GWR, and some XC. That said, I read about difficulties acquiring licences for both. I hope this isn't true though, and haven't heard anything official from anyone at DTG. Edinburgh to Dundee could be good I suppose - would allow for the 800 variant of LNER Azuma, and some XC and scotrail too.
I haven't seen a DTG Direct before - do they normally just announce roadmaps, or sometimes new add ons releasing same time please?
I can barely remember from last year but I believe they showcase new routes, and it will also come with a roadmap.
I'm pretty sure the 365 and 465 had the same body shell or at least they did when delivered. Whether shoe-gear can be removed and a pantograph added, I'm not sure. I can't think it would be too difficult. Whether the cabs are the same I don't know, they look fairly similar.
The sounds would have to be tailor made for the 365 though, quite a distinctive difference in noise, shouldn't be too hard though.
Originally the 365s where dual voltage so depending on era they may not need the third rail shoes removing.
might be some shortcuts but most likely not enough to make it an easy implementation kinda thing real life similarities can often times be irrelevant when it comes to game programming as well.
Prediction: Goblin release date and teasers Class 104 and peak forest update teasers Us route teasers. Rivet Scottish Route Edinburgh to Tweedbank with 170/158 units Cargoline Vol 2 Aggregates JHA wagon for GWE No mention of the ATS route or anything in the 6+ months section.
What if all the announcements will be about City Transport Sim: Trams and CATAN: Console Edition? Can you imagine the fury?
Tidal waves sound interesting. If DTG have been working on improving water then it seems we will be seeing more routes going along the coast I would think. Also just trying to picture tidal waves in TSW. The water is so calm and flat. Would be a very nice detail if done properly.
Well said best to expect little but hope for good things like for example actual aventra cab looks a lot like S7/S8 tube stock and also has passenger information on pis here’s hoping DTG learnt from just trains example of Blackpool and excell at features n polish
Whatever British Route Rivet do I hope they get it right this time maybe get help from DTG on physics which don't seem to be their strong point imho. Just want to see a little more quality from Rivet because I tend to be a little concerned about their content from a support/fixing aspect
My pal tricked me. He told me it was 6pm. I didn't think much of it cause it also said 6pm on the forums. I missed the UTC and only realised at 6pm when I came on expecting dtg direct and finding British ace's pre stream. *facepalm*
I hope we get a good Scottish train, whatever route is made. I'm not asking for much, I just want a decent train made with good quality. I think if the rumours about a class 380 are true. Barrhead to Glasgow is unlikely as it would be better as the full line to Kilmarnock and East Kilbride which would require a class 156. And rivet are not known for more than one train. Personally, I think maybe Inverclyde line would be good for them. Class 380 as a brand new train + class 385 for layers and lots of other opertunities for future DLC and railtours.
