Just to confirm it is Stirling and Glasgow going. Edit: Sorry, I am slow at typing, I see you realised yourself.
Could Could watch that all day. That looks like it’s during the evening which makes it look nice and calm.
I made a petition for the next UK/Scottish route to be the fife circle line. And it clearly worked. I'll edit this post with a link in a min EDIT: Here is it: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...ext-scottish-route-for-tsw.76380/#post-755189
It's not about waiting for the product. It's just that there are those that do are skeptical about this product for valid reasons. There is nothing wrong with being skeptical given their history. You just seem to want to shut down those that don't have the same views as you. I don't want this product to fail but there are those who are skeptical and there is nothing wrong with that
Both are very underused seeing as the times they run (particularly on the Stirling) are not useful for very many people. It is essentially a case of they are costing too much to run and losing them will have minor impacts on the places they serve. As far as I have been informed they will still run south of Edinburgh just won't extend to these places. There are other factors I have heard but can't delve into them here as I don't want to dig myself a hole!
Stirling won’t have many passengers using that line it has 2 trains an hour to Edinburgh during the day. Glasgow has 4 an hour from queen street as well as the other routes to Edinburgh. Makes logical sense
It was a rebuild? I thought it was an extension. You don't have to rebuild a route to extend a route as proven when the editor came out.
It was said by the Devs it was a complete route rebuild and that is why they don't want to do extensions because it requires rebuilding the whole route, and then some.
I would like to point out that the route was extended. The introduction of TOD4 lighting required a rebuild of the route. Routes can be extended without rebuilds, but big new features like TOD4 may require rebuilds
Quick thought regarding the Class 158 and Class 170 - as the substitution system doesn't allow trains of different lengths to substitute for one another, would this mean 2-car Class 158 and 3-car Class 170 services are kept as separate layers? I.e. buying the Class 158 would unlock more services rather than just duplicating the timetable like the Class 313 did for ECW.
Responding to 390001, as I can't quote him; No, the TSW Wiki is wrong. SEHS' extension was done by a rebuild, not by simply expanding the route. There have been no extensions (in the normal meaning of the term) in TSW. Ever.
I think with Rivet the level of quality seems to depend on the initial release. Because the newer IOW released pretty well if I remember right. I think for Rivet a good product at release is vital because I just dont think you can rely on them for fixes and updates imho based off previous content.
Rivet are good at making cool new features that people are like: "Oh! That's cool! " They are also very good at marketing and teasing content. But they do not get some of the most basic features and they forget/don't bother to update routes after about 3 months post release. That is rivets main problem. If they can fix that, they might just win the community back.
you need to realise that some of the issues that rivet routes have are present in other routes as well. Rivet cant fix stuff that is a requirement for the SIM to function. That comes down to the core engine
Ignoring the irony in you demanding a source having attempted to use the TSW Wiki as one... Dovetail themselves said it on livestream.
so a live stream that no one will be able to find. Also can you find the demand in my comment you are claiming i said please. I am struggling to find that myself.
That doesn't mean it didn't happen. Others in this thread have said the same and people have confirmed it since TSW3 launched.
and to the second part of my question, Can you show me where i was demanding you show me a source please as you claimed i was demanding.
The building to the side and the trackside wall immediately after the signals are off, but overall it's not bad.
wouldnt say it is off the distance from the IRL picture is greater than the sim picture. granted the wall along the side of the track is wrong but thats just a minor thing
I will always criticise Rivet when it comes to train sound (if it's warranted), but I cannot fault their modelling. Modelling seems to be Rivet's strongest aspect.
Agreed. The bridge itself looks quite good and the trees surrounding it are quite fitting (rare in TSW) - let's hope this is consistent.
I've just looked back in the roadmap (just checking something) and I've realised something... interesting. Fife Circle Line & the ScotRail Class 158 both have a Saltire next to them, as opposed to a Union Flag; Whilst this could just be to build up a bit more of a Scottish hype train (pun not intended), I wonder if this marks a shift to treat Scotland as an extra 'TSW Country'. It would certainly make a bit more sense that way, as to why there is such a sudden emphasis on ScotRail content (not that I'm complaining whatsoever. I'd love all other TOCs just to be ignored and embrace Scottish Domination ) And yes; both Cathcart Circle and Edinburgh - Glasgow were marked with the UK's flag.
Well clearly they had to change how they did it so they can show the best flag clearly when Wales comes. They're just getting it prepped. (/s)
back on topic. So looking at the latest picture rivet posted and giving they will have the large section of the route already covered that being edinburgh, haymarket and the depot. I hope it is not to long we have to wait for this masterpiece to be released.
However the English bits still maintain a Union flag. I don't understand this to be honest either go St George's flag for England, dragon for Wales and Saltire for Scotland or just use the Union flag for all. Before someone takes offence or whatever from this just remember it were just an observation which, I must admit, I do find rather strange. Forgot to add that screenshot looks rather promising too.
