Xbox Series X Sehs Timetable Headcode 5t04 Part 2 - Impossible Trophy/points ?

5T04 Gillingham to Strood (Part 2)
I managed gold reasonably easily in 5T04 Part 1 but despite multiple attempts at Part 2, cannot get more than 2647 out of 2750 points.
I've tried walking + manual setting of points on departure instead of using the map, I'm always ahead of time on arrivals, tried going through the train wash at < 3mph (seems to make no difference), I've no overspeeds, no jerky acceleration, and stopping within 3.5 yards of platform position. Can't seem to manage it and it is doing my head in ! Don't know what else to improve ?! I suppose the only thing to mention is that I have safety systems isolated.

Any not-so-obvious tips/tricks for reaching that elusive gold medal target ?

 

You must be new here. The scoring system in TSW is evidently complete hogwash. There're numberous services that can't be completed to gold under normal circumstances.

Services & Scenarios In Which Gold Cannot Be Achieved

One dirty trick would be to drive back and forth within a signal section and get additional 30 points for every 400 meters (or was it 300?!) driven. Repeat until summing up enough points to get gold, platinum, kryptonite or whatever metal medal and drive to the end of the service. Pick one of those longer sections between signals and be careful to not SPAD.

Yes, I'm certainly a newbie. No doubt therefore I'll be finding other frustrations in the coming months....
I had seen one other post about various services being broken in terms of scoring in TSW4 but didn't know how true it was.
I might try your suggestion but made me chuckle. Took me back to when I was learning to drive (a car). "Now Gary, I'd like you to reverse around that corner for no other reason than you have to jump through that particular hoop to pass your test....".
What's annoying is that there is a YouTube of someone driving this service (admittedly in TSW3 and not on Xbox) and easily reaching gold without any shenanigans.

The scoring system is what it is. I´ve done criminally reckless driving throughout the routes which would've get me shot or hanged in a public place if done IRL. And still managed to get gold. So I've disabled it and don't bother anymore.
