    I believe this would make an Interesting Add-on to the existing ECML Peterborough to Doncaster.

    The Line will exit the Mainline just North of Doncaster Heading west. The Stations this route should have will make the ECML far more exciting to drive along as it adds 8 more stations on the route

    Bentley, Adwick, South Elmsall, Fitzwilliam, Sandall and Agbrigg, Wakefield Westgate, Outwood and the main station of Leeds.

    The Route Could come with the 331 or my previous suggestion of a class 91

    The reason the 331 should be introduced to TSW is that in the north this EMU is used almost everywhere and Could be used in any future route based in the North of England.

    This idea has been floated before and it is a good one. I hope that Newcastle to York comes first, but then there is of course a section in the middle that isn't modelled, preventing a 'merge'.

    DTG should implement some feature to allow us to move between sections of the ECML without needing to exit to menu each time.

    This would allow completion of the ECML in the following sections
    • NEW - Kings Cross -> Peterborough
    • Existing - Peterborough -> Doncaster
    • Suggested - Doncaster -> Leeds and York (providing the branch line, and also some more mainline)
    • NEW - York -> Newcastle
    • New - Newcastle -> Edinburgh (could even use Rivet's already modelled Edinburgh)
    The lines to Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Stirling then become an option too - but may not be as popular as the core section between KGX and EDB and would require lots of scotrail layering to increase variety and playable services as there are few LNER on them each day.

    Personally, I feel this route absolutely must come with a class 91. This would then also be able to be layered into PBO and DON too. Perhaps the 331 could be an additional DLC.

    I think getting the current expanded to York and Leeds is my preferred method for how to carry on with ECML, just seems weird having to own at least 3 routes, therefore as it stands play across at least 3 routes to get from Newcastle to Doncaster & Peterborough

    Other sections would quite obviously be;

    Peterborough to London
    York to Newcastle
    Newcastle to Edinburgh

    If the game can handle it, I would like to see this bundled with a Class 91/225 set to complement the Azuma trains. I think this or a Doncaster to Newcastle would be a nice add-on to include the Class 91. Also layers for the Pacer, Class 150/2, Class 66, Class 47 Green, Class 158 and the upcoming Class 170 could utilise this extension. As long as the game can handle it.

    THIS MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE! We understand that you can't get a London to Edinburgh route in a single DLC but to be in 3 is the perfect number! Perhaps they could maybe make that as a bundle altogether.

    It would be 4 at the least, Doncaster would need extending to York and Leeds or it would end up being 5 + though.

    I have to agree that the Class 150/2 needs improvement but it will do for AI traffic for the time being. Maybe an updated one will suffice.

    Well as we have part 1 Peterborough to Doncaster already with us. We could end up with a full ECML route if the following was considered a viable path and to make the best value, these steps might work out.

    ECML in parts:
    Peterborough to London KX (include a HST and a Class 387)
    Doncaster to Leeds/Newcastle (Class 91 and Class 322)
    Newcastle to Edinburgh (Class 800 and Class 55 Deltic)
    This is what I interpret as around 2013 to 2022 operations to allow full use of the available trains and DLC available and what would come in these packs as layers.

    Depends if they are basing in the same era though as opposed to over a 10 year period. Do you still get 322s between Doncaster to Newcastle? I've never seen them before and travel frequently

    As for the 55, I'd rather a 57 thunderbird tbh - these could make for some good recovery scenarios.

    Would prefer the 322 was substituted for a 220/221 (or even both. XC doesn't use tilt, so as far as I can tell it'd just be an additional coach. Could be like how we have 801/1 and 801/2

    damm, just had a look they’ve all been scrapped as-well minus 3 cars, guess that puts the chances they would ever see TSW right down, it’s a train i always wanted to see (mostly as Heathrow express) but anyway would have done me if that’s not possible.

    Do we still have some 321s or 320s around? If so, they could be used for reference as I don't think there's much of a difference?

    5 321’s (others converted) and the 320’s are still in service, not sure how they would be used though the models look like they are quite significantly/majorly different for any kind of picture scans or reference, both cab and exterior.
