Can we please please please have Penzance to London Paddington Route please.. it seems to be missing off ALL of the rail simulators made today. there is a Cornwall DLC and London is involved in multiple DLC'S so it would be amazing to connected the dots have a full route

Whilst it would be great to see this route in its entirety, its very unlikely to happen.

Would have to be set in BR days due to no GWR license.

GWR loss of license is not confirmed.

(Unless I’m missing something concrete it’s just a rumour)

It was confirmed by DTG Liam in one of the WSR threads. At the very least he said nothing more for GWE due to licensing, ruling out extensions or new trains and the like.

From that, I presume it means they don't have the license anymore.

Sounds like it’s gone then, hopefully may return one day, I always liked the livery.

Wait so can DTG just request for the same license from time to time?

they can always re ask/go through the application for one, whether the outcome will be different isn’t guaranteed.

GWR were historically very co-operative - but it's possible there's been a management change or something from group level meaning no new products. At least it hasn't lead to products being pulled.

There is a TS Classic route network covering Penzance to Paddington from Just Trains, Western Mainlines + South Western Expressways - it's split over a couple of packs because huge route is huge.

Suggestion is faintly ridiculous. You might get a 70 to 80 mile section as happened with ECML but as stated due to licencing it won't be with privatisation FGW/GWR. The best hope is that at some point Rivet might decide to extend WCL through to Plymouth or that DTG do the so called Riviera Line down from Exeter to Paignton (if they can tear themselves away from one handle commutter EMU's).

Yes it is and my opinion is quite valid in this instance. There is no way DTG would make a 300 mile route for TSW. Be realistic in your request and expectations. The 13 mile £25 Goblin Line is the typical DLC they are making.

Even so, 300 miles is quite long anyway. Doubt many would want to do a Penzance to London run often.

And TBH although we all want longer routes, we also need variety so devoting artist and route builder time to one 300 mile project would not only take a couple of years, it would mean nothing else in the meantime.

not a valid opinion at all. this is a place for requests is it not? just because you don't want something someone else wants does not make a simple request ridiculous nor is it a expectation again it was a simple request.

so no your opinion is not valid at all unless you work for these people? then of course it does but if not then ....

    Agreed.

People often say "We don't want that" when they try to lump the community into their own opinions and desires for the game. I have had many of my suggestions shot down by others, or my favourite, "Why do people keep suggesting this route?" (often on the Marshlink Line between Hastings and Ashford International) as if they do not know what the word demand means.

Even if a route suggestion is unrealistic for whatever reason, the devs could still make something of it and implement it in their way and make it work. This would often be done by shortening the route such as Penzance to London would be drivable between Taunton and Penzance with AI driving to and from London.
