Hello, I am new to the Train Simulation Community and although I am not a Locomotive Fanatic like most I have seen on here, I am a fanatic of Engines and High Speed. For my first suggestion from playing TSW4, I would like to suggest the adjustment of time in the Game, for example, when I have completed a task from the timetable and I decide to "Return to Free Roam" and take on another service from within the Free Roam, I am having to sit and wait a substantial amount of time before I am able to start that particular service. However, If we were able to adjust the time 2 minutes before departure, that would allow us to complete Station tasks and depart on the time required for the Service.
Hello Razmatus, Thank you. I thought perhaps the suggestion that I have made would be beneficial for those of us that are tired of having to return to the Timetable or Main Menu after completing a Route, when we could enter the opposite end of the Train in the same Game and take it back or into another Train and continue its Route to the opposite end of the line without the inconvenience of having to wait for time to pass until our scheduled service is suppose to start. Thank You, Gibson
So if I understand right, you want an option to speed up time when returning to free roam to do a return journey or take over another service? I like the idea. Maybe something like: "Do you want to wait until this service starts, or advance time to five minutes before the service starts?"
sometimes when I do dosto runs, those have pretty ok wait times, like, I would first do a loco run, then return to free roam, change ends, and usually use the time to do a quick pit stop, grab snacks or sth or I grab my phone and watch FB reels )) until we get the speed up option those are some of my tips
if they actually made a couple more buttons/features interactive, I mean those that let you perform like, brake tests and such (I believe only TGV Duplex has this test feature active), that could be your time filler in-game otherwise, I keep my phone handy to watch some videos in the meantime the annoying thing is that my speakers have this supermegaannoyingthehelloutofme feature that cuts them silent if the sounds arent loud for a longer time or silent (aka if there is little current going through them)... this cannot be turned off, only kinda overriden... so each time the wait is almost over, I have to press PLAY on my keyboard to play a couple seconds of a song (got MusicBee ready with some metal tune so it is faster) so they turn back on... super annoying... dunno what a brilliant mind thought of this feature as non-toggle-able... I know it is a safety feature, to prevent buzzing over time and such, but daaaaaaaamn
I know it’s realistic, but I think given at the end of the day it is a simulator it is good to have an option to dial down the realism in this regard. Similar to how someone mentioned having to sit at claypole loop for ages in the middle of an ECML freight service. Of course the option to wait should be there for realism, but there should be the option to ‘skip’ for those who want it.
An option to skip would be nice. After all, we don't have the time to wait most of the time, whereas real life drivers it's their job.
