Hello everyone, I have been wanting to make a route suggestion recently but lack motivation so I'm going to suggest something I feel will benefit all players of the game. Starting off I'm going to say TSW has many players who have many play styles, some want to drive realistically, some want to earn medals/levels, some just want to drive trains however they wish, etc etc. Now I know a wide base like to drive realistically with safety systems on. Before you start thinking of possible issues with where you think this is going, please let me explain first. SOO my actual suggestion is, make safety systems a setting that can be turned on or off but is set to off by default for the sake of new players and people who just don't want them on. If you're confused by what I have suggested, let me explain for a second. In real life, for example, a class 700 would have all its safety systems on no matter if it's in a siding or waiting for a driver at a platform. The driver of the 700 would get in their cab, set it up and go off, that driver would not have needed to get up and turn on the safety systems via the isolation panel. So having this setting can be a treat for players who want realistic driving since they won't need to go to the safety system isolation panel and turn everything on as it can be annoying going from service to service always flicking on the systems. To extend my suggestion and make it better, the safety system setting should allow you to also select which countries you wish to have safety systems already set up for that countries trains; e.g. I know the ins and outs for UK systems and drive with all of them on, but German, no thank you I'd rather drive without safety systems. This also helps so if this is the case of not wanting another country's systems, you won't have to keep going back into settings and flicking it on and off when wanting to drive a train you want. That's it, let me know what you think, I personally think this feature would be very beneficial. I hope DTG does consider this or at least read this would mean a lot. I personally do not mind if this doesn't get added I won't cry over it I'm trying to help and give suggestions that maybe players want :) hope everyone has a good day, thank you for your time.

(sorry for a long suggestion and a big paragraph, I am not gonna give a two lined suggestion whereas I can go fully in depth and give DTG staff a good look into what I mean, and also players!)

It's actually a pretty reasonable suggestion. Currently I just type in Ctrl + Enter and Left Shift + Enter to turn on the safety systems. But it is a bit immersion breaking to get In a train that just arrived only to find out the driver previous drove it without PZB on. :)

I do think the safety systems should be on by default and then have to be unselected if you don't want them.

Good suggestion, this idea has popped up a few times before and I think it would be a good feature to have, especially for those who are more experienced with safety systems like myself. I like the idea with it being turned off by default as well :)

I hope DTG see this and have a think about adding this feature :)

Thank you! :) I hope it does get considered, as you said, with experienced players with safety systems it would be a treat. :)

I was originally going to put that but I thought for the sake of new players who maybe want to learn things bit by bit and the safety systems may put them off :)

since this thread is about safety systems... I was thinking... there was this one route/loco/train that if you didnt turn on the safety systems before activating the cab with reverser (or was it the other way around, like if you activated the cab and THEN turned on safety systems? dont remember), it would like... do crazy stuff? wasnt it Acela or ACS 64 or sth? cant remember for the life of me :D and I know I have read about this kind of bug somewhere
