Summer Speculation, It’s That Time Again

Given there's no further UK routes from DTG on the roadmap for at least the next 6 months after Goblin could mean the next route would be featured as part of a TSW5 base package. Also given the modest length of the Goblin line, the next UK route from DTG could be a bit more substantial - WCML Over Shap with a Pendolino or even North Wales Coastal with a Voyager spring to mind. They could even include the new Class 805 to show off Avanti's new trains.

It would be nice to know if DTG are taking resources away from UK/US/DE route development to produce routes elsewhere, e.g. Austria. By no means a complaint (if anything I support this) especially as we now have numerous 3rd parties producing extra content for the 'core' countries, particularly the UK. Either that or DTG are trying fewer releases but featuring longer routes for new TSW base packages, as my above hypothesis suggests (which was an interesting question they put into the recent survey).

Got to love the modern world! Gone are the days of yoyos and catapults which last 50 plus years, cost naff all to make (or if you were fancy buy) and are yours forever and in are the days of digital games which can just disappear with you able to do nowt to stop it, can cost thousands of pounds all in all, and which you can't physically own.


Still better than a subscription service would be though!
