Some kind of hole in the ground, or white ground terrain texture bug between the tracks. It is bright white, so really hard to miss. LOCATION: Between 3,4 and 3,6 kilometre posts
Credit where credit is due. OldVern, your last-minute preorder convinced me and I had a good feeling so I hit that button - I don't regret it. You are an influencer The 111 is beautifully done, very interesting to drive (comparable with the BR Class 86/87, you can either just tap to manually notch up/down, or just use the RunUp/Down position (which has Oberstrom amp limit, so it will follow as soon as it's safe to notch up (Nachlaufsteuerung). Or use the upper handle range for directly setting desired traction force. To get her going, I found it's best to manually notch up to 4 (don't use RunUp from a standstill, your passengers will complain about you! ) When controlling her via 766 cabcar - be gentle and note the small notch display in the main display to know where you're at. It's also fun to master the brakes - you can go in really hard initially, brake her to 4bar, and slowly release the brakes before coming to a halt and applying the loco brakes. Having played two scenarios and just running RE79017, the route is well crafted and enjoyable due to its hilly nature. Lots of layers, I encountered a 363, 155 freight, a 628, 425 and an 101 IC on this run. A thumbs up from me, DTG. (And in foobian's new GodMode update you can easily adjust legacy emissive materials - for example the 766 displays can be easily dimmed now by using the slider - thanks for that F-Block )
I've done several travels on the full length of the route. Despite few bugs here and there, many of which the people here have already mentioned, I've been enjoying this DLC a lot. I'd like to also give a thumbs up to DTG for this one. I think the 111 is pretty good overall. The amount of services is quite good. I am happy that the freight trains use realistic numbers as well as the service descriptions say what type of freight the train takes. I'm currently a bit confused how the 103 works on the route, though. I was able to find only one IC service with it but when I was playing with a freight train, I saw a 103 running with one of those historic trains. Or maybe it is just that one train that exists? The IC 118? I drove the IC 2083 which had a situation that was funny to see. Once I got to Freilassing, the train just reversed and departed... I guess IRL it would be OK if it had a cab car on the other end. But in this case, it didn't. So I wonder if for those services wouldn't be better to just put another 101 on the back.
Also on another note, in addition to the feedback I wrote about the BR 111 here ( https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/db-br111-feedback.79244/#post-803181 ), I have found out that BR 103 actually works properly, thus I believe you could just re-use the same logic for that wheel slip indicator.
the only point where the BR111 fails is in not having the engine room enterable (as also happens with vectron)
I bought this route today and I don't regret it a single bit. Hats off to DTG for this one. However there are somethings that are bothering me which are minor, one is why no Engine Room and two I know the 4th Gen Low levels were prototypical to this route, but why couldn't we get a route with the High Level Dostos instead? Other than that I enjoyed this one. And I'm looking forward to SemmeringBahn again DTG well done... Now let's see if Goblin Line can live up to expectations
So, since OldVern didn´t yet refund this route and Spikee1975 also recommended it, I decided to take the jump. And, praising DTG over the top is against my religion () BUT: oh WOW, what I've seen so far in a few runs looks very, very promising, I have to say. Nicely modeled stations and I've just noticed that the route is *packed* with a large variety of traffic (I've got all the german routes). It resembles BRO especially around Bremen. Really good DTG! There's a bug I've noticed at the first journey though: I've left Teisendorf to Freilassing and in between - after a few km and at 140km/h - I still had the german platform announcements audible: "Vorsicht bei Einfahrt des Zuges ..." and "Vorsicht an der Bahnsteigkante ..." This shouldn't come up at this point. dtg_jan You might want to look at it (on PS5).
Yeah I also had the poorly timed crossings which all closed while I was driving over them with at leat the last three before Rosenheim coming from Salzburg.
Yeah that's also something that was immersion breaking for me, even with a little bit of sunlight the ballast just looks like a mirror and is so bright.
Glad to have been of service! I guess after Maintalbahn (which is the other bit of German kit not in my collection) there was a fair bit of trepidation going into this. Was really expecting to be a 15 minute trial, hit the refund and back on Zusi 3. So pleased as it happens to be positive about something. Little issues, of course there are - the lighting but that is a core TSW/UE implementation which DTG need to sort out across the board. As regards the 111, I will have to try a bit of tappity tap later on see if I can advance the throttle by one position. What I would say on that is the keyboard response is sluggish at least on my end, almost like it was in the early days of the first TSW when you had to hold the A and D key firmly down to get any movement. Sound, well you can definitely hear a nice traction motor whine pitching up and down but it’s muffled by the constant fan. Would suggest either the fan noise needs to be nerfed slightly to equalise the levels or better still as with the EU07 in SimRail, once the loco is moving the fan spools down so you can hear the traction motors more clearly. Anyhow looking forward to getting back on the game later and resuming the third Journey run (need to remember to switch PZB back on(!). And going forward, I would love to see something like Innsbruck to Garmisch/Reutte in Tyrol or Munich to Garmisch built to this standard. It also makes me hopeful for Semmeringbahn, though after buying this and Zusi 3 the Steam Wallet bag needs a bit of feeding first!
On PS5 in the cab car, the circle button doesn’t cancel SIFA at all. You have to use an external keyboard.
One other bit of advice to players after seeing a post in the main forum where this could be an issue. The runs I started so far all have the loco brake applied as well as the train brake, so you need to ensure both are released before attempting to move off. I don’t believe this has generally been the case previously on German or UK routes.
I'm actually pleasantly surprised with this route. I wasn't very optimistic after Maintalbahn but I‘m glad I got this one. It‘s by far the best TSW4 release, developed by DTG, in my opinion. The length of the route is good, there is a lot of variation of gradient and lots of different traffic. The scenarios I‘ve done so far are fairly decent. I particularly enjoyed the one in the Dosto Cab Car in the rain. Best bit for me personally is the chance to do decent length runs in the DB BR 101. Only complaint from be is how bright it all is, but a few engine.ini changes dealt with that. Overall a very nice route that I‘ll spend a lot of time on.
Can you share your engine ini changes. Was going to look at that later, or see if there is a lighting mod somewhere. Thanks.
I‘m using Jetwash‘s ini files with god mode. There isn’t a specific set for this route yet, but I just took the Voralberg ones and it made a big difference. Both God Mode and Jetwash‘s files are on the Train Sim Community Website. They are a game changer in my opinion.
Magna cum laude, but... A few humble notes about the 111. • Despite the introductory scenario taking place there, it proves impossible (PS5) to spawn the vehicle in the Training Centre. • The throttle exhibits a quite unbalanced spacing, making especially hard to locate the "Hold" notch. • The handbrake is completely dysfunctional. Not only it cannot hold the vehicle in place, but it even fails to induce a traction inter-lock. • As usual, the locomotive is presented in its refitted configuration, altering the original look of the cabin, but without providing any function (PIS being a partial exception). The EBuLa display cannot even be turned on, if only to show a working clock. The GSM-R communication system (or whatever it is supposed to be) even lacks the static, "cosmetic" interface that is found on the Vectron and is particularly painful to look at. Thankfully the analogue instruments seem to work correctly, as opposed for example, to the awful 103. • In short, it is difficult (at least for a neophyte) to understand how this presentation could be fulfilling the standards of a rightly ambitious simulation game. On the other hand, the most vociferous audience here (possibly the same that holds ZuSi as the paradigm of simulation) seems mainly concerned with sounds, correct numbering and other "exquisite details", just as if they were looking to a model toy. So, probably, this is a product sensibly conceived to meet the existing expectations. We acknowledge and submit.
morning service with the 111 red signal cant go anywhere even after moving the train that was in front at freilassing station platform 1 8:44am and still been waiting for 10mins now DTG need to fix this routes red signals issues asap PC Steam
One thing that annoys me is that the wrong departure boards are used. On the route the kind of boards that shows the ÖBB logo is used LINK, but those were only introduced in 2022. As route is set in pre 2013 (since Salzburg Liefering is not open yet), these would be the right boards LINK1/LINK2. Even if it was set as the present day only Salzburg Hbf has the got the new boards. SB Mülln-AS, SB Aiglhof & SB Taxham-EP still have the old ones LINK.
I do find the throttle to be set up well, the space between RunDown/Hold/RunUp is needed for tapping, just big enough to not go into the Run modes when tapping A/D from the Hold position.
So, I have only done a bit of walking around, and a short hop with the 628. It is a good route and I do like it. However, my minor gripe is that, once again, DTG prevent you from wandering around to the street side of the stations/ buildings. I am assuming that the entire building has been modelled, so why not let your build team get rewarded by letting us see all their work?
About 1 or 2km heading out of Rosenheim I've found some trees in the sky. I had a good laugh, but I don't think they should be there.
Didn't really want to quote the whole wall of text... No one is saying there aren't some issues that need a bit of attention but overall, for £27 on preorder it is very good. The fact that some of the generally more critical members are giving this praise is testimony to that. TSW does what it does as do all the other sims including Zusi 3. Ultimately I want a compromise between simulation and entertainment. Don't want to spend more time figuring out how to get going than actually driving like with some study level aircraft in the flight sims.
Drove 3 trips yesterday and enjoyed the route very much. As a Scandinavian with no "local route" in TSW, this route together with Voralburg, comes closest to heart BR111 was also interesting to drive. Lots of layers. Thumbs up! Minor issues: Road crossings needs some trigger tuning at least on the western part close to Rosenheim, they are not done closing untill reaching the road in some cases. There was a building in the distance on south side that was tilted on a hill, but forgot to note the hectoboard number. Will come back to that if I see it again
Okay this is a thing that i have to point out..... The light of the 111 is complete off..... you see totaly noting.... You can't see the signs on the line so please fix this ASAP! This is not the first time that that is buggy on a loco... You have always a small light point on older locos but in this case you see nothing There is also something total wrong with the day and night.... If i choose 1 july at 7pm its nearly dark... Thats unpossible in july.... So the time and day circle is not right at all... Its not always winter in Rosenheim XD In winter time, december its 4:15pm dark in game....?! In real life its around 5:15pm its dark....
Absolutely agree, Vern. I was initially worried about loco substitution but seems to be working fine - I've even noticed an improvement elsewhere too. In one timetable service I managed to see that double-headed Vectron, a 155, 185, 101, 363 and even a 182 if I remember correctly. Also agree it's where UK routes really need a major improvement - I'm tired of the endless one-loco routes that are unrealistically empty and rather boring i.e. lacking service type variety etc.
Having played the route - which I very much enjoy, thankfully - there are several things that need fixing as priority dtg_jan Here's some initial feedback: 1a - In the 766 cab car, on Xbox Series X, the safety systems (PZB and SIFA) can't be used at all frustratingly for the Rosenheim-Salzburg version because the acknowledge button doesn't work - it's the same issue if you select the Kassel-Wurzburg version of the 766 too. Only by selecting older versions of the 766 (such as from Hamburg-Lubeck do the safety systems actually work), however this is a problem as they aren't TOD 4. 1b - Regarding the 766, there seems to also be some issue regarding acceleration as the power to accelerate keeps cutting out which is very odd. 2 - Strange artifact/shapes appearing on Eanos Wagons - this is perhaps the most frustrating bug as this has been a major issue since the launch of TSW 4 and is still not fixed - I had previously mentioned this in feedback for Vorarlberg - please finally fix this as quite frankly it looks horrid and totally ruins the immersion (pics below): 3 - No passengers ever at Bad Endorf
Same for me too on PC/Steam. Makes no difference whether PZB and/or SIFA are enabled or not; the 766.2 will simply not take power.
im pleased with the route so far, im liking it. one problem i had was the scenario Stand Up stand In. coming to near the end of this scenario i stopped at freissling and could not open the doors using my controller. i waited about 5 mins then decided to walk down the train and clicking opening all the doors, then the circle thing in the top left turned green, but still this time i couldn't shut the doors. so i walked down the train clicking on the doors to shut them. then i got the order to go to saltzburg to end the scenario and got a platinum. hahaaha i was using my PS5
Same issue on Xbox - however, can initially get power before it eventually no longer works. Also on Xbox you can't acknowledge PZB/SIFA in the Rosenheim-Salzburg version of the 766 which is very annoying.
Well, on the third time of trying the "acknowledge PZB even though its not enabled" tip worked for me. Hooray! I was also pleased to get the "You're the 111 that I want" Steam achievement for operating the BR111 for 111km, even though I've only driven it once round the training centre loop so far, and it actually popped up when I'd finished the 766.2 tutorial - not the 111 one
It's a feature, not a bug (at least I believe it's intentional lol), IRL you'll also need to re-engage the "Zugsammelschiene" breaker once it has tripped in "On" position from the main CB. I'm having quite some fun with the DLC so far, however one thing I am missing from the 111 is the sound of the "Fahrbremswender" which switches the Motors from AC Motors to DC Generators when electrically braking and the other way around when tapping up from 0 again. It's a distinctive mechanical sound that should be heard just fine in the Cab.
One thing I keep hearing is announcements in the cab (of the 111). However these are echoey almost what you would expect to hear from a station tannoy not from pa or in the cab. As they are only in German haven't got a clue what's being said but doesn't seem quite right to me?
You guys need to have a look at the dosto, sifa won’t acknowledge on controller and power is being weird. XSX
RE(70988) in the 766.2 Empty Depot Move Rosenheim Part 1 at 06:26 with PZB on. I get a 2000hz Application at the first signal which the hud is claiming to be Green. (Main Signal is Red but shunt signal is giving me the road). I don't think I should be getting the 2000hz but maybe somebody can tell me if I'm doing something wrong? It's only a 3 minute scenario so if anyone can try it and tell me if I'm right or wrong, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks - I wasn't - Just tried it again and doing that worked. So is the rule - A red Aspect with with a clear shunt signal requires PZB overide?
Yes you forgot the PZB Frei... If you see 2 white dots in combination with a red mainsignal you need to use the PZB Frei/Override
Service RE (79023) in Journey Mode - stuck 3.3km from Salzburg behind an OBB 4024 stopped at Salzburg Taxham. It's got a green light, just sitting there with its doors open, doing nothing - about 15 minutes late departing so far...
person in track at 70.7 (corner past Teisendorf) to Freilassing driving freight from Rosenheim to Salzburg liefering. that service in PZB 70 has a max speed of 100 on the hud which should be 120 I'd say. person gone as I went to photo mode so I expect he got into the RE/RB which arrived on the platform of Teisendorf towards Rosenheim. guessing either platform boundaries are weird or something else is up
Those are the station announcements (Bitte achten Sie auf die Ansagen am Bahnsteig, or whatever - don't remember exactly), which are definitely playing inbetween stations on the open track, which is not right :/
