I think a great addition to the fleet would be the EWS and Railfreight Versions of The Class 60 As the last mainline diesel built for BR in Britain it has a lot of heritage and as it was famously unreliable so it would be great to get some Class 60 Rescuing another Loaded Class 60 Missions to go with it to which it will not struggle with as they are famous for being the most powerful Loco to this day on the British mainline. They were primarily Placed on the heaviest of trains Coal, Tankers and Steel so I think it would go well with the Cargo lines DLC As they’ve all been withdrawn from service and stored except 1 or 2 on standby the Window to record the accurate sounds and get all the photos required to model it is running out. As there is only a class 66 in the game we are in desperate need of of another form of modern mainline traction I know the British mainline is trying to standardise and only keep the 66’s in service but we enjoy this game because it is a tribute to the great days when a variety was expected on the mainline not just the same loco over and over .
I couldn’t Agree more the 66 is getting old and boring now we need a fresh freight route to run on with a class 60 and a 70 would be a great idea. But I know a lot of people prefer passenger runs as the non-stop nature of freight is not appealing to a lot of people even though usually freight gets put into sidings to allow passenger services to over take but in TSW 4 this is called end of part 1 where as I wouldn’t mind the wait aslong as the scheduled wait has some decent trains going past.
I am not a fan of the 66s at all and am sick of the sight of them both in real life and TSW and so a 60 would be welcomed with open arms to TSW. Very powerful machines and sound much better than a 66.
Sorry, I have only just seen this part. Isn't it only DB that have withdrawn their 60s, with GBRf, DCR and Colas still operating them. I definitely don't see as many of them about these days though.
I would welcome a Class 60 pack as well. DB have pulled theirs but DC Rail and GBRF are still using theirs.
Ahh Maybe you’re right but with there problematic nature and GBRF acquiring the 69’s I can’t see them lasting much longer I hope I’m wrong but I do think they are overpowered for todays light trains in comparison to what they used to pull
I would still like to see a DB Class 60 pack come out as a minimum even if not a BR era version. But I would assume that the Class 60's will be eventually replaced by the upcoming Class 99's from Stadler that will look like this one. Not my photo but it sure looks a nice locomotive though.
Can everyone like the top post as I do believe the ones with the most likes will probably be made. Many Thanks in advance
I like the Class 66s, but the Class 60 and 70 need to be added to the game for more British modern heavy freight-hauling diesel variety.
All done mate. This is the third topic about the suggestion of the Class 60 and that means there is a demand for a Class 60 for DTG or anyone else to consider, so this could well be promising. I would love to see 60010 included (NOT my photo) Not to forget 60100 as the last one made. Again, not my photo as I don't claim anything that isn't mine but I am posting these here to echo my suggestions.
. Ahh I’d never seen the other Suggestions I take it they have disappeared into the pages by now but I really hope they take this suggestion seriously Britain is the only place with 1 freight loco and America and Germany have loads would probably be good if the class 66 was perfect in the years it’s been out but it’s still flawed with the safety systems just not registering as working like what’s the point in doing work with it to then do it all again to get a better score I like doing them I just hate when I see it going up 35AP at a time with all the safety systems active
I'd love a class 60, but it really needs a suitable route as well as the routes we have in game just don't utilise anything other than 66s within the timeframe of the route. Perhaps a South Wales route would work nicely for the 60
I would be contempt with a Class 60 and the Stadler Eurodual/Euro9000 this year as these packs would keep me busy with a lot of let's plays. Now could DTG/Skyhook Games or even Bossman Games make the South Wales route with a DB Class 60 and a GWR Class 800? That would take care of the Class 60 being used and layers for the Class 60 could be added to MML and ECML on some workings.
Saw a class 60 for the first time today. Looks rather smart in the Colas livery. Not keen on the DB one though.
I would love to see Colas and GBRF Class 60 but if DTG cannot get a permit. Then DB/EWS and BR will have to suffice until the reskinners get their creative streaks into action. I am going to do one in Captrain livery for a laugh though .
Yeah I decided to chance my luck with Some Companies that are already in the game as hopefully they will make the ones they have licensing for.
