Cannot confirm any issues with Eanos, nor have I seen the "floating forest". Steam, DX12 Nvidia As I've understood the reported issues are Xbox specific.
so, first I checked the loco on Koln Aachen, real fun to drive, might even do a livery or two once I have time as for the route, I thoroughly applaud the fact that this is finally some good quality playground for BR101, with lots of services... even 103 has... one... but better than nothing worth the money, thats my feeling atm with proper Taurus layering upcoming, this route might become my fav, or like my top 3 route )) might use a branch or two, but otherwise, good job ))))
No such artifacts and floating forests on PS5 as well. All serene there. Seems to be an Xbox thing, indeed.
With regard to PZB after a save on the 111… I actually think it is still on, just that the visual indicators in the cab have gone off. I know this because: 1. On resuming a save game only a few km out of Salzburg, decided not to switch it back on, promptly getting a penalty brake application after passing a restricted aspect and not acknowledging it. 2. When I then hit Ctrl Enter to turn it back on, the screen prompt advised me I had just turned it off. So hopefully DTG Alex and DTG Matt that will give the route and loco builder some clue where to look. Now doing a run with the 101, as stated earlier the rich layers on this route encourage a departure from just plodding through the Journey, to see what else is on offer. This is another route where it would be nice to get a rake of UIC stock, either the AM/BM232’s or the slightly newer and very slightly more comfortable 235’s for the long distance D and IC services. These coaches were the European equivalent of the British Mark Ones and would be at home on most of the German routes.
Floating forest is there on Steam as well: around 5,isch kilometers east of Rosenheim facing south. Plus floating gantry and hole in the ground around 3,7Km east of Rosenheim facing east
Zooming in on photo mode to see the missing chiemsee gave some interesting terrain pillars in the distance. not sure of that's a LIDAR issue or whatever but it's not seen from driving at least
[Removed - Alex: Unrelated to Feedback] Apologies for removing the message, but this post clearly stated that this thread is for feedback to Rosenheim only, off-topic messages will be removed. Thank you for understanding
I really appreciate this route as well, and here my opinion might be a bit controversial. I see a lot of love put in this route, lot's of details, I love the scenery and we finally have a modern take on a German route. I also love tap changers machines, loved the 155, the 103, 110, all of them. But for the love of God I'm not able to enjoy this route. And these are my feedback as well: - The floating trees completely broke it for me, it has been an heavy hit, immersion ruined. - Then I notice that the brake gauges both in the cab and on the HUD work completely random. Majority of time, you apply the brakes and the needle doesn't move up a tiny bit for minutes (!) until you put them in full service, then they go from zero to maximum in 2 seconds. When you want to release them, it takes the time to read the full Lord of the Rings. Now, I can accept that slow release might be a feature, but the gauge not working when you apply them is definitely a bug. - Then there is the misalignment of the ground already reported by many. - The PZB didn't work for me at all just few km passing the above cited misalignment. What I mean that I got no visual signal to aknowledge PZB and the train just got a penalty brake for nothing. -There is also something strange going on with the traction of the 111 at random it stops. You are riding, then all of a sudden the traction box in the HUD becomes red, no power at all, then without doing nothing, white again. I don't think this was discussed, so I don't know if there are non-signaled neutral section on this route or if this is a bug as well. Conclusion, up until now I was not able to complete a single run with all safety system active. Massive disappointment for me at the moment, I literally can not even touch it until it get fixed I think
Hello! Whilst checking on this issue you've raised, our investigation teams weren't able to find the visual artefacts shown on your screenshot on NPCs in the route. Are you able to share any more details of where and how this occurs, and can I confirm if you or other users on different platforms are still experiencing this issue? Thank you!
Loving the scenery and ambience BUT SIFA is not working on the 766 (same a Dresden Riesa was with the VVO dostos) and I cannot find the PZB on/off switch on the 111 edit: Found the PZB..... it's called something else unless you hover over it! Now that I have found SIFA on the 111 I can confirm that, on my second timetable service, it no longer had audio (just as Matt found on the preview stream). Ps5 BTW
Agreed - there's something majestic about gliding into a station in a 111, serenely coasting to a stop.
They just need to tame that fan noise a bit, make it more like the EU07 in SimRail so you can appreciate the traction motor sounds.
Having played all of the scenarios only so far, I must say that I'm really enjoying the route. The 111 in particular feels very well done indeed. The throttle is set up just perfect so that a light push on the throttle lets you tap up/down individual notches. One thing I particularly wanted to praise are the scenarios overall. All of them presented unique, extraordinary situations that were fun to engage with. My favourite was probably the rescue run with the 185. Driving out to assist a failed train and then completing the rest of the run with a freight loco on a passenger run was really fun. You rarely get to run a 185 all the way up to vmax of 140km/h. However, there's also one major irritation I had with most scenarios: reversing. A lot of them asked you to put the reverser to reverse and drive backwards in situations in which you'd never do so in real life. You don't drive a loco in reverse generally - you change ends. That should be taken into consideration in the future.
This new route is excellent i love it keep on this quality DTG but Xander1986 is right about this issue which i agree 100% the headlights are far to low and thats why i never drive at night ( not only on this route ) dear DTG can u look into this and make the headlights far stronger i would be very happy cheers
Yeah something about the day night cycle is a bit off, however thinking of headlights, while I agree they are dim they are also not meant to be used to illuminate an area to see but to warn others you are there, also incandescent
Hasn't this headlight issue to do with the loco layering into TSW3 and even TSW2 routes where it would appear like floodlight? Maybe it had to be dimmed on TOD4 route in order to avoid that? Just a suspicion but based on the Vectron experience ... I didn't have time yet to drive the 111 on those foreign routes. Will have a look though asap.
It’s called „Indusi“ at the rig, that was the predecessor system to the PZB I really like the route, but I had three CTDs on Xbox Series S since yesterday, when driving the 101, 111 and the DoSTO. Someone else who experienced such crashes? Opened tickets for that, but I’m afraid the route is very intense regarding memory, like DRA back when it was launched.
Hope this hasn't been reported before: On PC when operating "DGS (47802)" at 06:36 there is no coal loaded on the FALNS wagons, even though it is supposed to be a coal transport and even the weight in the Esc menu shows it is loaded. I guess it's just a texture issue / wrong assignment of rolling stock assets.
My Review of the DLC: (1). The scenery is excellent. (2). Since I own all of the German DLCs, I have all of the layers for services, which is really enjoyable. (3). The newly added BR111 is enjoyable to drive. (4). The route is adequate in length, taking around 1 hour and 20 minutes from point to point. (5). No bugs were encountered (yet). So far, the route has been quite wonderful and fun.
I've had zero issues with PZB on my runs so far. Are you sure that you were slowing down early enough for an upcoming speed restriction? This route has GPA magnets that will penalty brake you if you're approaching a speed change too fast.
That's correct, threw me off the first time also. As for the Headlights, I'd say DTG pretty much nailed it. Someone said before: they're meant for others to see you and not for you to see stuff ahead. 70s Tech just like the 628. Though one more thing I'd like to see implemented ingame is to be able to uncouple the electric brake lever from the pneumatic brake lever by setting it one setting further from "Off". That way when you've botched your tap timing and shoot over the speed limit while you're still tapping down, you can disengage the electric brake and slow down back to line speed only using the pneumatic brake without the electric also triggering, throwing off the Motor relays while there is still current on them, hurting the components and forcing you to tap back down completely to zero. I don't know how much work that would be "under the hood" to implement but it would make driving a lot more convenient and less costly for virtual DB maintenance
Just to update, I tried this service in Journey Mode again last night and this time there was no issue - a clear run through to the end. Not sure why the problem was there the first time, the only thing I can think is that perhaps I was running a minute or two behind; there's a 4024 that comes into Freilassing slightly after our timetabled arrival, and perhaps that got ahead but terminates at Taxham?
Might very well be the case. It definitely need more testing from my side, and I wish I could have done the tests right now, but as said, unfortunately, as the route stands, with all those flying trees, I simply can not play it. I'm confident DTG will solve the tree problem ASAP, but until that moment all my tests (and enjoinment) will have to wait
Distant mountain glitch between Traunstein and Prien Chienesee: In other observations, the PZB indication on the 111 not showing after reloading a save seems to be loco related. No such issue on the 101. The rogue station announcements in the middle of nowhere seem to be route related as still getting while driving the 101/
Sure wish that DTG would address the bug in 4024 that locks things up if you mistakenly open both sides of the doors. It is also present in the Volenburg route.
In a couple of activities for this route that I've looked at, this message pops up after a minute or so of running: I'd gladly do this if only I knew how, but that isn't covered in the tutorials or in these activities. Hopefully, someone can provide instructions! Thanks
That's no mountain glitch.... The clouds are around the mountain peaks. The mountains in the clouds... I have seen that on Voralberg and it looks strange but 100% correct
The exact same thing happened to me. When attempting the training module right after contiuning from the previous Rail Journey service, there was no power regardless of what I did. I ran all the same checks as above, and nothing would engage the power. But... going out the main menu and then back in to that Rail Journey service specificially, it worked without issue.
Ran the "Buckets of Rain" scenario today. No issues with the scenario, but there was a scenery glitch in that the track ahead (about 5Km from Teisendorf) showed blinding sunshine, when it's pouring with rain.
The main problem is that the switches for PZB, LZB and Sifa are in different locations in each locomotive. To assist, we need to know which unit you are driving. There are keyboard short cuts if you are on pc. To be honest, I do not know them right away, since I never use them.
Route definitely suffering Save Game red light issues. IC 1216 in Timetable Mode. On loading my second save of the run, came to a stand about 4km outside Rosenheim. Train on P1 that should have departed at 0658 with two further trains between me and the station. Deleted the stuck train, others now moving so will see if I can get in. Edit: Yes removing the train unlocked everything but seems this route may have an issue with the outstanding core save game algorithms.
when selcting the dostos on other german routes the pis doesnt work propley it only works in the front carrraige
still runs like shite on the route compared to other routes it's on before launch (haven't checked it on other routes yet)
No bug, as Xander1986 stated, it's fluffy clouds hanging in the mountains Somewhere in the multiple SRM threads I've read somebody had issues with the automatic traction motor fans. Be aware that you are supposed to turn them on manually before you're starting and off when stopped, the automatic is just to protect the loco from damage in case the driver forgets. That's valid for all german locos. I'm really enjoying the 111, it's incredibly fun to operate it. I'd say it is the best german loco in the game so far. Though - at least a static EbuLa and GSM-R display would of been nice. And the route is the best german route in the game. DTG Alex Mastery is working, really worthy reward! Toot Toot!
Track isn't properly connected, causes a notable jolt when going over it. Located just before this sign:
Well, nevermind then. Not sure why it never tripped me before but this 2000 hz magnet at kilometer 21.4 is definitely on the wrong side of the track. Service: GAG 47815 Rastatt to Salzburg - Part 1
TL: DR but I assume I’m not the only one missing SiFA and PZB audio after resuming a save? I’m also seeing a lot of this annoying shadow glitching & crazy flickering on this route, particularly at Rosenheim. Otherwise, so far, a really well made route.
Roger that about the clouds. Yes it is a very good route the odd glitch aside and obviously what seems vulnerability to red light lock ups. Up there with DRA and DCZ, better than Vorarlberg at least in so far as you can get a bit of a run going between stations, even on the RE services. I’m hoping that Semmering is being done by the same team and not the gang that did Maintalbahn. Was also delighted to note last night after (eventually) finishing my 101 run, that the G6 layers in on some of the local freight workings so that will be enjoyable. However first I might find one of those double headed Vectron heavy freights, to test my mettle. Actually that’s the other thing I like about this route - long trains. Unlike some of the other routes where you get a 3000hp electric loco hauling 3 or 4 Dosto’s, here even the RE services are around 7 coaches and I think the IC I worked with the 101 is 11 coaches.
After some runs I think this is probably one of the best German routes so far. The timetable feels alive with so many different trains. And it is great to have some serious Br 101 services where you can also have some stops with it. The scenery is especially gorgeous! The mountains far away look amazing, but also the scenery near the track. Another thing is that the drawing distance of the 3D version of the grass is for example much better compared to for example Maintalbahn, so you don’t get the annoying pop-in effect as much. Some downsides: Every part of the route feels busy and all yards are filled but Salzburg Hbf feels a bit empty since there is not a lot of Austrian rolling stock. Hopefully the ÖBB 1116 will add some AI services. These are some of the bugs I noticed (Steam, PC): Quite some level crossing gates do not close in time. Mostly on the western part of the route. No passengers at Bad Endorf. The lights in the Dosto’s and PIS on the Dosto’s are off on AI trains after crossing the neutral section. I think the AI forgot to turn the train line power switch back on after the neutral section. The ÖBB 4024 PIS does not work.
I have not yet encountered that floating forest... all good here. (And your shots are - pretty dark for the time of day....) I've tried to load the map into the editor but for some reason the sky is pitch black and scenery is white though I haven't changed any settings, can't be bothered.
Just wondering why it's not showing for everyone. Please give the date and time of your shot. (CaneCreek polygon vegetation bug is related to season) No matter what I try it does not appear for me... (clock also seems to be GMT - way too bright for Rosenheim 3am) Also on the livestream, it's not visible at Rosenheim.
So I had something like this on Cane Creek, and when I drove underneath it, the shadow was incredibly complex and destroyed the frame rate. But it was rare and intermittent - I saw it a few times, but I could never recreate it.
