The train simulator add-on for the geml was amazing. TSW would make it even more diverse, especially with the Class 720s.
Ideally also with a 745/755 for variety's sake. It's not too long, although the London end may be a bit difficult to capture.
Yes, these were my thoughts. Apparently Greater Anglia has some licencing issues which is why we have nothing.
There's always the past . Granted licenses are still needed, but as DTG have the BR license it shouldn't be too difficult.
Unless things change with licensing (and they can) any East Anglian line in TSW wouldn't be in the modern era. It's a big gap in TSW coverage.
My favourite bit is going over the M25 at 90mph on the Down Fast line! This might be because I was born and raised in the capital. Nowadays I can only take a few hours of it and always look forward to seeing countryside on my way home. I do hope that any attempt at the GEML would get as far as at least Colchester so there can be some 100mph action.
Oh I still love London, it's my birthplace and I miss it if I don't visit for a while but I'm happy being an hour away from it from a peace and quiet point of view.
I understand what you mean. It is nice to relax occasionally away from the bustle of the city. I love the idea of another London Terminal
BR Blue or even NSE era would be ideal. IIRC wasn’t the Braintree Branch DMU operated until the late 80’s or early 90’s, possibly a Cravens unit?
BR Blue with Cravens DMUs, Class 308, 309 and 312 please. Norwich services with the 47 and the usual mix of Mk 1 and 2 coaches, just like it was when I went on my holidays from the then grimy, dark Liverpool Street East Side shed.
Yes, maybe some post trains with 31s too, they were a common sight on the wide middle platform at the old Liverpool Street that had a taxi rank on it.
I hope the next roadmap will come soon. I expect it will come in the next week but that is just a prediction
I am really excited for it? Is everyone else excited for it? I would love to use an Elizabeth line livery on the 710's and use that on the GWE. I love the train models
Yes, while the 710 has shorter carriages and one fewer pair of doors, it would make a good stand-in for the 345. Get some IETs working on diesel power and mix them in with HSTs in the timetable and you'd have a nice updated pack, albeit only electric as far as Hayes & Harlington. I'm also hoping there are a few plain white 710s subbing for Class 720 LTS trains at Barking on the GOBLIN* route, or it will look very lifeless. *I don't have a problem with the new name, I worked at Barking Station and it will always be the GOBLIN, in the same way that it will always be the LTS in my mind.
