I would love to be able to confirm this, however the last HST I saw dynamic weather had turned snowy so it were pure white!

Like I have said before mate, I absolutely love all the stuff you do and it does bring a nice bit of variety when I am playing. Lovely stuff!

Thanks Matt, appreciate the comment. Got to have a bit of variety.
As for the HST, I briefly ventured into TSW4 Livery Editor the other day and noticed the Power cars were back to normal. Although I did notice there were some strange effects with the windows. I'll know more soon as I'm about to return to a TSW4 scenario I'm preparing on GWE.

Tested the HST in TSW4 and got this result on a sunny day! Not happy.

Oh. So still not quite right then. A shame as I do like a run on GWE in the HST now and again.

Finally got around to playing with your triple CL37s. Seen here on a test run from Lackenby :)
(There's quite a few of your liveries in these screenshots).

Three Thornaby (Tees) based class 37s now uploaded - 37073 with its centre headcodes and white kingfisher, 37193 with white TE stripe and white kingfisher, and 37200 without any TE livery mods (there were some that escaped the paint brush!)

37199 added to the TE stable, as a visitor to Teeside. The loco is slightly weathered (I hate weathering, I cannot get it looking right) but is dirtier than the usual locos, which was typical of a Gateshead TMD allocated loco.
    20240311183821_1.jpg

Also Thornaby related - 20028 with its TE red stripe, 20093 and 20112, all TE allocated.

TSW4 gives with one hand and take with the other. So after a fair while sorting out a scenario to run my triple-headed Llanwern Iron Ore trains on GWE, I discovered that I cannot upload any scenarios from GWE to the CC!. I can upload from TVL, BCC, NTP, MML, PFR, WCL and a few more, but not GWE Which is a real shame as I found a way to turn the train around and do out and backs - twice. Well, it needs a bit of fettling anyway, so I'll have to just enjoy it myself. I'm looking at other routes, but few enable you to leave a platform or siding back the way you have come, or even better, another way!

Played around with one of my pics from way back in 1983. The location is Barnetby, North Lincolnshire and shows 20023 + 20001 on a long 16T Steel wagon train, complete with guards van.The locos were prepared and a formation created with locos and wagons. It look a bit to find a station I could use to replicate the scene, and its not perfect, but its kind of there. BR at its finest!!

Wanted to do this for a while, but wasn't pleased that I would not be able to paint the bogies and underframe. However, I've done it anyway, but have had to do it in TSW4 as i've lost the unlimited layers in TSW3. So, sometime in 1963, D0260 'Lion' has failed at Leeds and has had to be rescued by an ex-LMS 8F!

Another excursion into the world of "What if..." What if the Tilcon Aggregates Company had followed the example of Foster Yeoman and ARC and had bought its own locos and wagons? Here is 59251 in Tilcon colours (based on the colours of their road lorries) and PTA wagons based on the colours and decals of their existing PGA wagons:

A recent visit to the Great Central Railway at Quorn for the DPS AGM, gave me the opportunity to photograph the excellent van train courtesy of Quorn Wagon & Wagon Works. In total, I got pics of 14 Vans of various sorts and 2 Brake Vans. I have liveried the LPC 12T van and the LPC Brake van as these wagons, although I have had to do a representation of some of them as they are not all the same design.
For those with TSW4 and the Formation Designer, the rake at Quorn was made up in this formation:
    950690 (Brake); 852838 (Shocvan); 780282 (Vanfit); 850498 (Shocvan); 779978 (Vanfit); 784409 (Vanwide); 783082 (Vanwide); 777171 (Van); 763305 ( - ); 786348 (Vanfit); 777728 ( - ); P18422 ( - ); 765272 (Van) and 762855 (Vanfit). Also present were M500954 ( - ) and 954406 (Brake) which could be added to the end for a longer rake. Brake vans at either end were not unknown.

I'm currently having problems with my Internet and am limited in what I can do, so the remaining vans will be a while before I can upload them. 11 days is what I've been told I have to wait for my Internet to be fixed!

    Blooming heck.........That's a labour of love :)
That's a project that would also work with the different running numbers on each side trick. ;)

Managed to get them all up on the CC hub. Downloaded them into TSW4 and the Formation Designer, and now have the complete rake, hauled by a lovely grotty Class 31.

To go with the Tilcon liveried 59 and PTAs, here is the Tilcon Shunter at Rystone Quarry - 08054 in genuine Tilcon livery. 08054 was bought from BR in 1980 and worked for Tilcon for nearly 20 years and is now preserved on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway.

Absolutely love your liveries, so much inspiration. I'm new to TSW4 on PS5 but I'm enjoying the game greatly especially livery design. I would like to know where you find the intercity BR logos or did you just whip them up yourself. Love your work on the class 08 it's my favourite little engine so far.

Hi, welcome to the fray! If you mean the BR arrows - they are based on a mod someone did a while back. If you mean the INTERCITY lettering, all my own work, including the Swallow. Not sure if it was you who mentioned on another thread - it would really be useful if we could save groups of layers that form a logo or wording and use them elsewhere, but DTG has not given us that option. Which means, that for every class that uses a particular logo (eg the INTERCITY branding) it has to be reproduced for each one. I've lost count of how many times I've produced the BR Crest for the Green Diesels.

Thanks bud, Yes the post about grouping and making our own custom logos for future use was me. Its a shame PS5 can't use mods but I'm sure I will find a way to make something work. Looks like I better get practicing my BR crests ;).
Keep up the great work Dave, like I said it's very inspiring stuff. I'm working on my own tankers for ICI Burn Naze that I want to get into my Blackpool branches
Here is my first ever livery I'm working on

Those are a nice pair of TEA tanker wagons. Well done :)

Apologies to Dave but, if you like things ICI and CL08, Why don't you have a look at this thread?

Anyway here's a change of scene for your Tilcon wagons Dave :)

I’m currently finishing up my BR Blue/Grey MK1 Set (Will be up on CC Soon.) and I just wanna thank you Dave for showing the Colour Code for BR Blue. It has really helped me create the set. I will credit you for giving the colour code for BR Blue

    Kind regards,

A new scenario up today, the first of a series I've been tinkering with for some time. It is called BR Diesels Days #1 1958 (NTP). It is set in the year... 1958.... and shows the early Diesels in service with BR - classes 08, 20, 40 and DMUs. They are few in number and work alongside their steam shedmates, who still rule the roost. You are driving a DMU stopper from Huddersfield to Leeds. The list of required livery assets is small -
    Class 08 13201; Class 20 D8002 + D8015; D8019; D201 and Class 101 1958 ER Green.

Some better screenshots of your Tilcon liveries (taken whilst I was messing about with formations and scenarios). :)

The 'new' Tilcon livery CL08 is the perfect partner to your Tilcon CL59. Expect to see the pair of them trundling around in a scenario or two shortly. :)

Tilcon 08 is now uploaded along with 2x Class 20s in a short-lived variation of BR Blue. In April 1986, 8 Class 20s were renumbered to 20301 - 20308 to indicate their captive use on the Peak Forest Aggregates workings. The trial only lasted a few months and by the end of the year all the locos were back into normal service with their original numbers. 20023 became 20301 and 20059 became 20302 and these 2 are modelled.

Someone once said: "Everything looks good in LoadHaul livery!" Actually, I think they said: "Everything looks better in LoadHaul livery!" Now, you may or may not agree - its a bit of a marmite thing - you either love it or hate it. I am firmly in the former camp and after uploading the 2 Class 37s onto the CC Hub (37698 and 37884 - both in LoadHaul), it crossed my mind to see what other classes would look like in LoadHaul. So, I've prepared a selection, including some wagons. There will be a few more to follow...

As I mentioned to David earlier I am very much a lover! It certainly does suit all of these very nicely, though does look strangely stretched on the 40!

I think the long nose end on the class 40 does it no favours! I did notice when preparing them that every class ended up with its own variation of the livery. Out of all of them I think it looks best on the 47 and the 59 (66)

Crikey. Someone has been busy :)

I agree that the livery looks best on the CL47 and the CL66 although I also like the CL08 too with the orange stripes at the front. (I think the black is a little bit overpowering on the pair of CL20s).

Are you planning on doing a CL37 by any chance?

Thinking about it, would you be willing the weather the 20s with some limestone dust (white/grey weathering) for use on PFR?

Yes, it looks nice enough with a solid colour all over (BR Blue/Green liveries) but one you try and put a design on it, that's a slightly different story. Agreed, I can see what David means above, but I really like the look of it on the 20s as well.

Crikey you've gone bananas :) Are you now sponsored by Loadhaul by any chance Dave? ;)

Funnily enough I quite like the smaller wagons. I think the livery looks particularly good on the Conflat and the Turbot.(Which annoyingly are the only two wagons, at the moment, that I can't seem to get any loads show up on them in my unofficial Formation Manager exercise).

I imagine a full rake of JNAs will look quite impressive. (A bit like your British Steel 27-wagon, 3xCl37 formation).
