For example, American country music for Clinchfield, Sherman Hill, New York music for New York routes... I listened to Heartbeat for the Ambergate line and it rocked! Blackpool is rocking on the Pacers so UK Rock? LOL German routes??? Latest one to Salzburg, would it be Amadeus???
Surely this should go in suggestions and also you made a very similar thread not too long ago which didn't go well. Anyway I will say (as before) no thank you, as this is a train simulator and in real life there isn't any music in cabs, and in the menu why should the routes' music differ from others when you will hear it for a matter of seconds.
No thanks. Canned music is never going to please everyone. I'm with those who the first thing I do in any game is turn off menu music and in the case of train and flight sims I want to hear the machines not someone's idea of accompanying music. About the only game I ever put music on with media player behind the game was Elite Dangerous, when I was doing multiple jumps on that long, long haul to Beagle Point (or desperately searching for crafting materials on a planet to make boosts and repair material), either some synthwave or prog rock/metal like Dream Theater, Arena etc.
Is it really that uncommon with "music in the cab"? Here in Sweden it's allowed and we are usually very strict when it comes to... everything on the railway.
In the UK it would be regarded as a serious distraction and subject to disciplinary action. Obviously it varies as I watched an Australian cab ride video where the driver hooked is MP3 into some sort of speaker system in the cab and was blasting out AC/DC "Thunderstruck"!
Very nice idea to add some music on the cab to kill the time especially on long runs. May I suggest to add some smoke and light effects like on a nightclub, and a mini bar with a hot tub.
Put music on in the cab in the UK and you can guarantee you'd be called in for 'tea and biscuits' with the boss.
I don’t have much against optional stuff, why not i most often have my own music playing during TSW, so if it’s optional if may be a feature I would use. (edit: double word removed)
very rare occasions general bus drivers have the music on, but yea it won’t happen on trains in reality.
I noticed that some bus drivers especially at night or the late evening they put the radio on, technically it’s like a car it’s not forbidden unless you’re listening with earphones but I think it’s against some companies’ policies.
How about Rod Stewart for Scotland and North England? As the time set for Blackpool branches is perfect, The Goodies are one that comes to mind LOL https://open.spotify.com/track/3vmr7MF3fux330AfTuRdMY?si=ee94b946d5d34b4e There is Tubthumping, some football music (any more footy songs??? UK people know can recommend?) Queen, Beatles.... Maybe for a route, do you have a few songs that you think would suit??? As Blackpool is in the 80s, what sort of hits were around then?
How about No As for 'The Goodies' you couldn't be more wrong and out of touch. [EDIT - Jan - Quarrelsome]
Good morning, I think that's enough arguing, no need to be at each other's throat about music. It would be for the best if the two of you disengage from this conversation. All the best, Jan
