Does anyone have an update on the possible release date of the Suffragette line. I still can not get over the name change

0-3 months. It will get announced when ready. Maybe they'll share more during march

I like the idea behind the naming. I'm "woke" and proud of it. Not that I've ever heard a more satisfactory definition of the term that doesn't equate to "Empathetic".

However, "Suffragette Line" is a clunky title. Maybe "Pankhurst Line" or "Emma Line" (points for spotting the play on words there) would have been better.

One question I have, I wonder if the Bakerloo line timetable rework was done with a view to accommodate the 710/ Overground stock

Assuming it’s based of the real timetable, probably. But it’s unlikely the 710 would layer onto the route as it’s missing AWS, and the tunnels at Kensal Green are too small for regular trains.

The tunnel at Kensal Green is built to accommodate mainline trains so they’ll fit fine, the NR section of the route will only need AWS and TPWS grids, but tbh even these aren’t essential as long as the trains have power.

I know they were built for full size trains irl, I was talking about in-game. And whilst the second part is technically true we know the vast majority of people won’t be pleased with the absence of TPSW/AWS

Is that something you’ve found? I’ve driven both the Class 377 and Class 801 through the Kensal Green tunnel without any issues.

It seems to be a very tight squeeze, it just feel like maybe besides the timetable the over ground section wasn’t built with anything else in mind

Matt said in the Streams over the past weekend, that they attempted to layer the 710 onto the Bakerloo line DLC but they ran into technical issues.
What these issues are he did not say.
However he did say that it is not impossible for the 710 to layer into the Bakerloo Line in the future.
Just don't set your expectations too high. :D
    Mike.

There's no issue with the tunnel size, just tested it out.

No, I checked earlier, a 377 just about fits and compared it to a video I looked at to compare the tunnel is still a little higher than the roof of a 378

dont know what video you looked at but the only trains that go through that tunnel is the bakerloo stock the old 313s and now 387s and the new overground trains

Does the class 710 share anything with the Talent 2? I know they are both Bombardier... every time I look at it I can't shake that they look similar.

Bit steep on the price for this 13 mile route if I am honest at £24,99

I wouldn't think so, totally different build, totally different sound, the Talent funnily enough sounds more like an S stock but then a lot of our traction equipment is manufactured in Germany etc.

They are having a laugh at that price. Only £5 more for Salzburg to Rosenheim which gave us nearly 60 miles of new route that had multiple layers depending on what you already own.

DTG really do seem to be trying to price themselves out of business. This should have been £17.99 max.

This route though was i guess harder to model as you have a very urban route and i hope a decent view of the London skyline. Mainthalbhan was too overpriced for being a standard rural route but i think it is fair to pay more for a city route with a complex skyline.

It’s not a complex skyline if you are driving from Gospel Oak to barking you have absolutely zero view of the London skyline. Coming back the other way the same.

You have views of Canary Wharf and the Stratford complex between Wanstead park and Walthamstow and a lot of dense housing along the route.

And again it's a route that's already in TSC (minus Riverside), with arguably a better train (the 172) so absolutely no reason to pay this excessive price.

which you can only see in ONE direction for ONE station. That does not justify the high price for a 13 mile route im my opinion i am sorry to say.

I think the price (£24.99) is reasonable, even before current global inflationary pressures set in the cheapest you'd ever see a route dlc was £19.99 so to expect this to be any cheaper is very unrealistic imo.

Well it is imo an interesting route cutting across a large segment of London, would it have been my first choice on the overground network? no i would have vouched for Highbury to West Croydon and Palace or Richmond to Stratford but it's a start and hopefully we will see other London routes in development.

Soryy just cannot justify paying £25 for this short uninteresting route, with an in all likelihood uninteresting train which at best will get driven a couple of times in each direction before getting bored with it. It's exactly the inflationary pressures in the wider world (I mentioned my car insurance in another post) that means people are not going to pay through the nose for something they don't really want or need.

That's fine if you cannot justify paying the asking price, especially if it's a route and train which you'll likely not be interested in but inflationary pressures are exactly why the price is what it is.

As a more modern era fan myself this is a route where I certainly can justify the asking price so imo roll on March 19th.

It's likely priced at £24.99 because it includes a new train, if it were reusing an existing train then it would probably be £19.99. Price is what I expected although a pre-order or introductory discount of 10% like what happened with the Glossop line would make it a much more tempting 1st day purchase.

Problem for me is I read the article and it does just seem like a small route with 1 unit. Seems like a fairly small service list too compared to the layers? I kind of was hoping there would be something else to take the fancy with it.

24.99 for this or 24.99 for NTP, TVL, BML, ECW to name a few older routes that IMO are among the top in TSW and are over a game old.

Ah yes our most beloved and only UK freight loco lol :D

Side note, seems like quite a big difference between 1000 layers with all dlc and 154 playable services with the 710 and I can't imagine you get that many more with the layers?

The article did mention that there would be ai Lea Valley line services where the line crosses near South Tottenham, that should be a substantial number of services, 4tph each way all operated by 710's irl.

24.99 for 13 route miles is poor. Sorry, I have no problem with shorter routes, but 25 pounds is steep for an overground route which is 13 miles long, with no branches, additional locomotives or anything special

And having just finished a session on Snowrunner, okay not exactly like for like but when you look at what you get for each Season Pass, DTG pales into comparison. In fact Saber almost give us too much as with so many maps you would have to play nothing else night and day to stand a chance of 100% on everything.

And if this had been something special like a Welsh narrow gauge route (which okay is never going to happen with the hiatus on steam), the price could have been justified. But no there has to be a red line somewhere and this is where it gets drawn.

Of course there could be an ulterior motive here, which is to make a possible subscription service look more appealing. Still no to that as well from me.

Its just strange because DTG did a good job with the latest German route. But this one just seems a little weird to me. Especially for the price and the amount of content you need for the layers.

I dont mind a nice short route with some interesting runs, I like shorter services myself. I just personally don't see where the 24.99 is coming from.
