Good morning/afternoon everyone You may know that the Vectron that we have in game works with the Austrian and German current (15kV 16,7hz) and the "French" current (25 kV 50hz). But what you didn't know is that it also works with belgian current ! Yes sir my little country use an archaic old OHLE system that use 3000 volts in direct current. But why does the Vectron can use it in game ?? DTG did it for Austria, France and Germany. That's logical since we have those countries in game. But we don't have Belgium in game, and also the training center is capable of handling 3kV (Along 3rd rail, 15kV, ...). But why ??? You must say "It's just that it forces the current and that's all...). Welllll..... No because the Dutch current (1,5kV) on the Vectron doesn't work. I'm probably (certainly) biased by thinking that something in Belgium might come one day or another. But it kind of make sense to me. We have Germany and France in game, and Belgium is between those two countries. A cross border route from Köln make a lot of sense. And it make more sense as we know that DTG doesn't always make the extra-step. Why would they allow 3kV if there's no belgian route planned ? Well see by yourself : And a little teaser if one day it comes to life: Spoiler
Probably because the Vectron mulitisystem includes Belgian compatability, so the model does too. The MRCE 185.5 model includes multiple electric systems including France and the Netherlands, but to date DTG haven't used it anywhere but Germany.
That is not even correct. The 185.5 never should go to The Netherlands. The 186 locomotives are made for that.
If that were to be the case then it's L36-37 Brussels to Aachen Hbf. I've actually suggested both. Click on my signature to see both of them
It means this L36 and L37 Brussels to Aachen. If DTG does get the technology for big routes then you have SFS Brussels Köln comprised of SKA L36 & L37 price for it the same as a TSW2 route
There’s a person (or more I don’t know exactly) doing some amazing Belgian rolling stocks for TSC, it’s SKTrains and its work is superb. Who knows, they might be interested to collaborate with DTG on TSW. We tend (slowly but surely) to incorporate more countries.
And what about the license? Probably the most important part before a Belgian route can come to life.
Belgium has some very curious and interesting looking locomotives and rolling stock, so fingers crossed that we might see them in TSW one day. All the recent cross-border routes are a good sign.
Good point and for DTG that requires them to have permission from SNCB/NMBS and Infrabel the track operator
