Loco Substitution: Better Or Worse Since Initial Winter Core Update?

On KAH, the 187 will necessarily appear since it has its own layer, it doesn't depend on substitution

 

I just did another Salzburg to Rosenheim run and this time i had 1 BR155 and 4 Railon BR 185. I dont have any substitution mods so i do not understand how for other people substitution is working fine, unless they had one really lucky session. This issue repeats on almost all German routes, even on DRA you will have mostly 185 MRCE. Anyone on PC can share they're experience as well?
For me in TSW 4 i don't see much substitution compared to what i had in TSW 3, basically one of the key features of TSW gone in the wind.

 

Regarding Rosenheim-Salzburg, on Series X, variety can sometimes be better at certain times than others so I think just keep on playing; even on Munich-Augsburg, I was surprised to actually see an AI freight service operated by the Vectron. Regarding substitution for Hamburg-Lubeck, do you see the 146 and 182 or just 112's for passenger services?
