I think SDO should be a feature on all trains, idk how dtg haven’t got it working yet. And please don’t advertise it as a feature of tsw5

 

SDO would be good. Though I can't think of any timetabled routes that are currently in game that I would need it for. It'd mainly be for scenarios from creators club and free roam (for example a 5 car 801 on Northern TransPennine). The isolation switch is already there, just doesn't do anything.

 

Currently the Class 375 on SEHS has SDO implemented.

Select door operation i believe. Lets you select which doors to open or close depending on the platform length and such

Every station, it’s a feature of the route. Try stopping with the Class 375 halfway in the platform at any station on SEHS and upon the operation of the SDO Door Release you’ll see that only the carriages fully berthed in the platform will have their doors open.

 

Ah thank you - I normally go right up to the stop marker so may not have triggered it before.

 

It would be a start if doors didn’t open by default on parts of the train not at the platform.

 

I mean there is the basic sdo on rivet's 385, so thats a start, but it's really noticeable on the LIRR. just wondering, is it actually like that irl with carriages hanging off the end? Are passengers able to cross between the 2 car sets?

 

Yes but they always announce at the station which stations have a short platform and what coach you should be in
