That would be such a missed opportunity if not.

Door closed automatically at station stops, so don't do what Matt's doing and habitually go to close them!
    (Feel free. It is funny.)

So no announcements in the train anyway, what a shame :( I will probably pass on this one, if DTG can't implement this simple but important thing on this kind of route then it's not worth the price for me. Will get it on sale some time.

If it were simple then I imagine they'd have done it by now.

    Rivet have, twice.

I know DTG is wanting a core system for it, but doing them for each train wouldn't hurt in the long run.

I noticed in the stream Matt opened the doors and left the train when he came back the doors had closed (nice!) But when he went to lock them they just opened again? Why? When they close automatically they stay unlocked. (This was at Barking)

Its best DTG dont do it until they have the core because if they do it without the core then we would have announcements on only SOME trains. Inconsistency with DTG is very common...

I thought they stayed unlocked as well, but either I must have been wrong or the game isn't very good at differentiating 'closed' from 'locked'. However, the game can tell when you manually close Electrostar doors, because it won't count them as locked until you press the lock button...

    This!

Individual doors should close after 45 seconds after they've opened to save the HVAC working overtime. CLOSE - not lock. Very big difference. The interlock shouldn't be obtained as it does in the video until the DRIVER closes all doors after pressing the door close button.

I very much doubt a core system for announcements will come soon, if at all.

Inconsistent, yeah, but better than nothing.

This is the case on most of the british mus in game. Even the 323 (if you close the doors using the pax button) the door stay unlocked.

I'd rather trade no announcements for however many DLCs in favour of having a consistent system, not a one-off one each time that would just leave a strange inconsistency.

The route scenery looks very nice, very impressed that they decided to vary the ballast textures, little things like this add to the experience. Still, they decide to continue with those ugly speed signs, not sure why they can't design a set with a realistic font.
I just get the feeling that it may mostly be green light runs, hopefully there will be some services that have some adverse signalling. I guess we can always use free roam to inject a player service and give a bit of variability.
Overall though, just impressed with the quality of the scenery and modelling (could do with some new foliage though, the current set of trees are getting a tad overused).

I love what i have seen! I'm impressed by all the details. Its fair to say whats already mentioned that its maybe a little clean but thats also a better advertising for the UK hahaha

I can understand that people complaining about the price. Specially when you dind't have a large budget..... This route could be really repetitive indeed but that doesnt stop the fun and sometimes shorter routes are also handy if you dind't have a long time to play.

I have to point out 1 station and thats Braking... What a absolute masterpiece is this station.... So unbelievable nice in details well done.

For me a absolute day one selling point. But im a little older and dind't suffer when i paid for TSW....

Im very curious to drive it by my self :)

We had that with the destinations on the front of the trains and after several iterations a standard system for automatic setting of destinations based on the route was developed. It still doesn’t fully work all of the time though. I’m all for keeping announcements out of the trains until there is a robust system in place and when I say robust I mean it. Having incorrect voice announcements playing will be a lot worse than having none. It has to work for AI trains as well as the train you drive for when playing as a passenger, or guard if that ever becomes standard.

    Agree so much with this.

This is actually 3 times for Rivet: E-G, Bernina, and now Fife Circle. JT have done it in their very first route for TSW (even adding announcements for 2 other existing routes!!!).

Everyone agrees BPO is great and that's part of why IMO- they went the extra mile!

Boggles my mind how some people actively don't want a feature that adds immersion.

And i'll believe they're working on it as a core feature when i see it on the roadmap.

But we already have inconsistency, there are 4 routes with announcements while none of the others have.

    Didnt watch the stream yet.

So is the freight hub close to barking included? Right east at the turn to riverside.

Agreed 100%, Barking station looks incredibly realistic to my regular c2c traveller's eye.

Well, it's nearly here now. My only thing is that they could have some new SEHS freight services, except that requires a class 92 and a slight extension to Dollands Moor.
