When you get out the drivers seat you teleport into the roof of the train and cant get out. This hasnt happened before until today.
PC, Steam Maybe put a tag in the thread title to see if other PS4 players experience the same (which they should as mods can be ruled out in that case)
Don't quite get it why people put platform tags on normal community questions where it's not required to put one at all but on posts like these (bug reports or similar) where it's very important they are just forgotten?
Unfortunately, this seems to be linked to the solid seats bug. It is really difficult to recreate since you only notice it after about 30 minutes of driving, but typically, it happens if you switch to the external camera one too many times. I have encountered this issue 3 times now (and the solid seats another 2 times on other EMUs), and the only workaround I have found is to use Ctrl + = and Ctrl + - to switch cab ends and stand up from the other cab.
You need to finish a service once you finish get up and you will be in the roof, im currently driving a service now ill add a picture once ive finished it
Also whilst its raining overground I get wheelslip underground even if I havent actually been overground yet.
I've found that solid seat bug on one of the 323's - but only in scenarios, not in timetable or freeroam. (Scenarios can feature restrictions on player movement / possible interactions, so I think it's related to that) The issue sounds as if you're replaced by an AI driver ejecting you from the seat. I think that was always the case - while the tunnel occludes rain, the track friction conditions are the same anywhere on the track. Engine limitation.
I found it on the East Coastway and Southeastern Highspeed's Electrostars during services. The bug on the Bakerloo Line occurs during services as well.
It is only a bug that has appeared in TSW4. During TSW2 and 3 it was fine, but that solid seat bug affects the 72 stock. I have yet to see the solid seat bug affect anything that isn't a British Rail EMU though.
If you stumble across it again, could you post where it happens (service number)? I'm curious (and have played Bakerloo on TSW4 quite a few times).
Hi, can confirm this happens on any BKL service if you use the 3-headout camera while in the tunnel section, then immediately press 1 to return to the drivers seat
226D-7 (or any service that starts at Elephant and Castle) 1) Load up the service 2) Press 'Get Started' 3) Press 3 to access head-out camera 4) Press 1 or 3 to get back in the cab. 5) Press E to stand up 6) If you stand up normally, sit down and repeat steps 3 to 6. I reproduced this bug in about 7 seconds this way! I only had to do step 6 three times! You will notice that when you stand up in any other EMU, you are moved away from the chair. When you stand up in the 72 stock, you are not. This is why the solid seat bug forces you into the ceiling in the 72 stock, but not in the other EMUs. [IGNORE: I have made further developments below]
I just tried it in the East Coastway as well with 2G30 I found out that pressing 1 while still in the first-person camera will trigger the solid seat bug! So maybe the steps above are wrong, and you just need to press 1 while in first-person.
I have now tested the Class 166, Class 45, Metrolink Rotem Cab Car, 72 stock, Class 377 (ECW), and the DB BR 401 ICE1. Load any service, ensure you are in the first-person camera, press 1 twice. Bug recreated.
Confirmed, though I never had the idea of using the 3 cam in a tunnel or pressing 1 twice. Ctrl+0 puts you back in the seat on PC. Considering it's a TSW2 route, I don't see a patch for that coming, and it can be avoided luckily. And you're not stuck in the roof, go to crouch mode and move a little and you'll fall back inside the cab. The hitbox of the seat gets solid, and when standing up pressing E you will be standing on the hitbox for whatever reason. So all you can do is to just not trigger the bug, good it's been found what triggers it.
Indeed, Ctrl+0 does put you back in the seat, but I like to get up and move around (to drive the service back where I came from), hence the Ctrl+= and Ctrl+- workaround. Indeed, I will not expect it to be fixed. I did not realise you could crouch and fall back in. If you can subsequently walk off the seat, this will be a fantastic fix! The hitbox does get solid, and you stand on the hitbox because on the 72 stock, the game does not move you away from the seat when you stand, unlike in other trains. Now that I know what triggers it, I am happy to avoid pressing 1. However, it will make driving the CTC-3 cab car on Boston Sprinter rather more inconvenient thanks to the bug with the ACSES display.
