From the same ""leak"" as the LIRR 2.0 thread, we can see a bit from Fife Circle: - 169 player services (including any freight layers, if there are any) Collectables: - Poster (seemingly) - Map - Walrus-thingy - 'Choo-Choo' Plant Pots (seemingly)
I wonder if the “walrus-thingy” is a seal as iirc do you not see seals in the fifth if forth at times of the year.
does 169 playable services sound about right? i was sort of expecting more but i don’t know much about the fife circle irl. plus rivet and their timetables haven’t always been great..
For the circle, Dundee & Perth trains, you’re looking at around 6 trains an hour departing Glasgow, between around 7am & 7pm. Give it some leeway either side & we should be looking at around 144 playable services just for the 170. Sprinkle some ECS, RHTT & engineering 66’s in there and 169 looks about right. If that 169 includes the playable 385’s, we’re in trouble. Edit: we’re in trouble.
It also depends on how old this 'leak' or test version is. As far as I understand, timetables are gradually updated and added to as they are tested and checked. So these service levels could apply to the 170, without the 385/ other layers applied. I wouldn't worry about it, until the preview stream is on
Doubt it, I suspect the 170 and 158 services overlay, like the 150 and 142 on WCL and the new WSR timetable.
Possibly, I figured that Skyhook would have just taken the timetable and swapped out some 170 runs for 158 runs, so that people who don’t get the 158 aren’t penalised for doing so. AFAIK the 158’s don’t get dedicated services, apart from the 5 car mixed consists. Either-way, if that is the case, you’re looking a 4 trains an hour for the 385 services (depending on which IRL services Rivet use for them), so that’s almost 100 runs in a 12 hour period, don’t see all that being reserved 158 runs. Much more likely that the service count shown doesn’t include layers.
The 170 and 158 services can't sub in like WCL. The 170 is a 3 car, and the 158 is a 2 car. For subs to work they need to be the same number of cars.
I mean, the only things that changes is stopping positions isn't it? So I wouldn't have thought it would be much? Although, I know you've had more experience in the timetables. Either way, it would be a slap to have services locked behind an effective paywall
Stopping distance, how long it takes to clear signals, how much space it takes up at junctions. The sub system will only replace like ammount for like ammount. It just physically can't replace a 3 car formation, with a 2 car formation. It would suck to have some locked away I agree, curious to see how they tackle it.
This will be the first stream for a while I'll actually be able to watch live as well! Looking forward to seeing more of the route and crossing my fingers, toes and everything in between the sounds are adequate.
There’s a video Rivet just posted of what it looks like crossing the Forth Rail Bridge on Facebook. I have no clue how to get it on here lol. Every time I try to embed it. It says it can’t do it… I’m clueless with this though.
You know what I think I have some in the cupboard, though I think it may one of the blue 'Xtra' ones rather than the traditional orange can riddled with sugar!
I'm skipping the deep-fried Mars bar just so I can have the original Irn-Bru. May have to pick up the Xtra if I decide to pick the route up though.
that didn’t exactly sound like a professional recording & going across the FB wouldn’t require much power (I believe it’s notch 1 to sustain speed across it). That’s IF they were driving to the limit. Sounded like a lot of AirCon going on in that cab, which will hopefully be togglable anyway.
They are coasting on the bridge, which in most cases triggers an audio effect. I'd wait till the stream honestly.
I am skipping the deep fried mars bar no matter what! I do find it to still be very nice and the Xtra stuff is much better than the normal no sugar version which tastes more like watered down Irn Bru.
I’m Scottish and honestly I’m not a big fan of Irn Bru… I’ve let my country down. I’d rather have Pepsi Max Cherry chilled from the freezer for an hour. .
It's starting! Can't wait! The music before hand reminds me of when you go to a theatre to see a show and they have a playlist of music playing in the backround while everyone takes their seats. Kinda neat. Never thought about it like that til now.
One of them. My dream route would have to be my local and one I grew up on. Ayshire coast. But this is certainly high on the list and one I've been waiting for, for a long time.
The fan is too loud and there is no hum sound. Apart from that rivet did a great job on the sounds for their standards! Just need less fan sounds, more engine rev and bass, louder engine sounds, tweak the phycics, add hum sound and your sorted. I think rivet probably could sort it out as it's not massive fixes. I love the new water. It looks beautiful! I hope it isn't so still though in a storm! The forth bridge looks beautiful! Haymarket depot looks empty though. Need depot services through there. Bit of freight and railtours would be good. How come 385 services terminate at Haymarket instead of Linlithgow before a.i takes it if the route is modelled as far as Linlithgow?? Not bad rivet! Not bad! This is good for rivets standards!
The sounds are, as above, not bad at all & probably some of Rivets best work. The timetable though is sloppy at best - way too much missing (hopefully skyhook will save the day with the 158). Haymarket being empty is just an own goal for Rivet, this route is all about the diesels…and the Diesel depot is barren. But the off screen Tram Depot is populated? Go figure. Scenery is…as below, couple of very rough spots. I also experienced sound cutting in & out, not sure if that was just me, or the stream?
They've literally done an infinitely better job at Stark's Park than they have literal houses (a universal asset of the game) Good to see the standards that Rivet set with Bernina have been upheld...
Oh that top house… I think games from about 2002 had better assets, and I thought that house in all black was an eyesore on ECML and others.
Ok I tought it was good but not at all ! RIVET WHAT IS THIS !!!? I COULD MAKE IT IN ROBLOX IN 2 MINUTES AND IT WILL LOOK BETTER ! COME ON !!
And you didn't see the company with the red warehouses! They looked like red plastic cubes! EDIT- Here they are!
strange how the house assets have took a dive, rivet done the scenery on Cathcart and the white house assets I thought were quite authentic looking for Scotland.
Some of this scenery would have been terrible twenty years ago. What is wrong with Rivet? DTG please make them delay release until they fix this embarrassment. They are ruining the TSW franchise.
