Dovetail Games Fife Circle Line Preview - Q&a Thread

The route looks absolutely atrocious looks something from Minecraft barely any services and for jasper to say its real life timetable is a joke. This needs to be delayed and sorted out properly rivet clearly only give a damn about taking people's hard earned money and releasing shabby DLCS

 

It needs delayed and finished before it’s released. Very wide to release a half baked version for £30 and with a history of not fixing bugs.

 

I repeatedly mentioned the gfx in stream only to be ignored. Rivet and DTG should be ashamed by this dlc. Wrong build shown…game obviously not ready for release!

 

How on earth have they missed freight and ECS moves to/from Haymarket depot???

Unless what was just shown wasn't the latest build (?), it needs a bit more work!

 

It wasnt the wrong build it was the first excuse that came to mind. The announcements dont work.

 

I am very disappointed after the preview stream. Yes the engine sound was improved a little bit, but the bogie sounds really caught me off guard. Come on rivet, get a grip.

 

Rivet have made the Forth Bridge to look good and the stations are ok, but their route designing is awful. Rivet please give up route designing. I was disappointed to hear that DTG were planning to do this route and Rivet wanted to do it. DTG backed out. It is in their backyard and you’d think they would make it more accurate. Certainly not up to the standard of Blackpool or London Overground, which is hugely disappointing. Not worth £29.99 but I will still buy it for the forth bridge at night, which like most of Rivet routes is the best time to drive them.

 

I dunno. Jasper repeatedly said ‘his’ build had working announcements but suspiciously Matt’s didn’t….

 

Let's say that's true.....why are they only finding out when the stream starts? No one takes a run before they start to make sure it's working?

They should do pre-recorded streams if they can't get it together.

Otoh the route itself might just be a mess!

 

I’ll be honest and every UK route I either pre-order or buy on release.

This will be the first time in a long time, where I will hold off until there is some comment about the content that has been presented.

I played the JT and DTG TSC versions and they seem better.

The Forth Bridge and Class 170 are modelled nicely along with the sounds on the 170 but there is nothing about this route that makes me scream “Wow”

Scenery looked bare in places, and correct me if I’m wrong but from the stream we didn’t even get to see the second half of the circle.
