As we can spawn trains in free roam I was wondering what is your favourite locomotive in TSW?. Mine is the Class 47 especially with the variety of liveries the Blackpool Branches version has.

Cool. The 465 is a good train. Adds good variety to Southeastern High Speed.

Like in real life, its got to be the Peaks. The 31s and 40s are very near behind, due to their quality in game.

Generally all highspeed trains, DB 101 for intercity trains, ACS 64 with amfleet coaches, the Allegra trains on Berninalinie and 484 isle of wight, for freight the Vectron and G6 shunter in Germany. For US freight really like the F7

Maybe the ICE 406, not the Kassel one (that could be that 403 I can’t remember anyways) that has a bit of annoying bug, but the Koln one is the one I mention.

why: never had an issue with it, good to learn the game with originally, a go to train, my favourite thing of the TSW2 release, gold medal achieved on all the original services, good to learn PZB, LZB & AFB basics with, no Z-Fighting to what I remember of it.

Glad you have enjoyed driving the ICE 406. I have enjoyed driving it too considering it was the first ICE train to come to Train Sim World.

As far as driving quality, the 375/377 Electrostar family is responsive and handles amazingly.

For fun, I love the older British diesels like the 31 and and 52, as they sound great and have personality. Same for the MTA and LIRR M3 and EMD F7.

hm... BR403 is nice but doesnt have many varied routes... I LOVE BR101, finally with Rosenheim Salzburg it has some decent amount of services... 442 has a special place for me cos it was the first train besides 406 that I had driven after initial purchase of TSW2 and probably first train that helped me to learn PZB :) ... in general I love German and now Austrian stuff, so simple, so uniform, once you learn a couple it is easy to learn others :)

Nice. The BR101 is cool to drive with the IC coaches. The reason why the German and Austrian routes provide lots of fun is the amount of layers you can get depending on the amount of DLC you have. :)

thanks to BR 101 I also learned (mostly) to set-up multiloco setups :) I still struggle with that sometimes, but thanks to 101 and 182 I learned it better :)

    DB BR155

I really love older locomotives, and old locomotives with tap changers are my absolute favourites.

Even though it looks like a big box, I really love using the BR155 everywhere I can. :D

Cool. I like the Class 700 too. Hopefully in future the 12 coach FLU version will appear in TSW.

It’s definitely one loco that needs more love in the game. There’s so much potential to layer it on to with London routes. I hope with the Goblins positive reception we get more.
Also I enjoy the Class 47 too, more than the pacer in fact. The 47 is my first choice on the Blackpool route :)

Definitely. I haven’t driven the Class 47 lately. Pleased to hear you enjoy driving it. :)

Honestly, I would have to go with the bombardier talent 2. It's a fun vehicle to drive and being able to drive it is just a great thing that happened in my life

accelerates fast AF and can go 160 kmh :) hopefully soon, with the arrival of Austrian content in TSW, we will soon see Siemens Desiro ML in CityJet or/and GySeV livery, which is a devil in form of train, accelerates fast and holds speed damn well... and the throttle "min", which in most locos/trains almost equals coasting, at that point it locks in whatever speed you were going O:)

This is now not me favourite.

I've been on a high speed kick in TSW lately, and so far the Azuma has taken top spot. Nothing quite like running down the line at high speeds.
