The issue on the other side would be full, heavy bulk trains which, I believe are pzb U, should be limited to 80 km/h.

I found learning the German safety systems frustrating and rewarding at the same time. It takes patience and a lot of saves, so when you do something wrong, you can quickly go back and run it again. Even now, after feeling comfortable with it, I still get caught at time, mostly with not responding to sifa fast enough.

Again, PZB mode and Vmax are not directly related (save that Vmax necessarily can be no greater than the PZB limit). There is a VERY complete thread HERE which covers PZB mode, brake settings and maximum permitted speed

yeah I used to drive by PZB speed limit. U being 100 and M being 120. I did change the braking to G instead of P. I thought the R was rapid. P was passenger and G for freight. but now I'm unsure since noir's calculator gives two different "timetables" one with for what I noticed all brakes on G and one with a mix of G and P on the loco, first 5 and the rest of the consist. not entirely sure how it works apart from application and release time so you keep the wagons behind you nicely in a row. but I really enjoy the better freight driving.

"R" or "Rapid" is used on passenger trains and light locos. "P" or "Personen" (passengers) isn't just for passengers! It's mostly used for freight. "G" or "Güter" (freight) is used on heavy freight. Most freight trains will use a combination of G and P, the very heaviest will be all G. In most cases, other than the heaviest trains, the "G" fahrplan would only be used if there is an unusual situation, like broken equipment. The G/P is preferred.

Due to a PZB BUG sound always scream no matter active magnet or not, on many tsw german locos i don't use sifa at all on xbox - sifa acknwldg is activated the same button as pzb acknowledging (B) so everytime I use sifa i hear pzb scream.

When driving from Freilassing to Salzburg the dispatcher guides trains not directly but over two switches. The trains switch tracks two times to come back to the track in first place. I don't think this is realistic and blocks other services. Happens with freight trains or s-bahn services.

only train I didn't have that happen with is one of the EC's. so the track is indeed operational. wondering if it's a wrongly set path or the dispatcher just being a bit odd. if dovetail doesn't fix it themselves I'll look into it for the timetable fix I am making for the route. with all those extra trains it's gonna be bad using only one track for inbound and outbound.

Since I've forgotten all of the German I once learned, I would really appreciate translations of those in-cab announcements heard on this route. Danke,

    Bug: uncompleteable service
    Platform: Steam
    Loco: BR 363
    Service: EKZ 54126

After arriving at Teisendorf, you are supposed to reverse into the storage siding. However, the switch (points) - which is remote controlled, not manual - does not change over, backing you up the main line you just came down, and making it impossible to reach the siding or complete the service.

Another problem with this route (avoidable when you know about it, but still an error)- at start, the shunt signal in front of you still has its 2000 Hz magnet active, although it's showing clear. Can be passed using PZB Frei, but otherwise will stop you dead.

Interesting, I am on Steam as well and did not have any issue completing this service. Was not driving the 363, but the G6, though. Are you sure the end of your train has passed the shunting signal at this point? I seem to remember that I have encountered this on another route ages ago that if I stopped short you were not able to end the service (cant remember where and when, though, its just a thought).
This bug affects all services out of this track, unfortunately...

Ran it again, and I think you're righht. This time I made sure I stopped past the marker, and the switch changed correctly.

Then came the annoying on-or-over marker bang on top of the bumpers......

I am a bit puzzled by this bug:

When driving from Rosenheim towards Prien, I hit those two signals at Km 21,4:
    upload_2024-3-13_22-45-0.png
The picture actually faces the other way, so they are not relevant for me. However, the 2000Hz magnet on the left signal is on the wrong side of the track. Obviously this would be a problem for trains coming the other way... But it only stops you when you are in free roam (only tried in timetable mode). As long as I am driving a service from the timetable nothing happens.

This seems to be reproducable, as it happened to me the two times I have passed here in a free roam train. But I have passed many times before with a regular timetable service and nothing happend.

Any explanation or theories, anyone? Maybe I should post this also on the Free roam feedback thread?!

The freight lines from salzburg glanbachbrucke to the stiegl brewery and the line from salzburg Liefering on towards the trash service and military base have been put in as you can see on the map. but even in free roam are not accessible. Is that a bug or did some developer waste their time on a good 6 km or more of inaccessible track? same question for the traunstein - hofham - (waging) branch that isn't on the map like the aforementioned freight lines but also built out pretty far. Are those parts cut in development to reach a quicker release since they'll be not or barely used or is there a different reason? The lack of branch lines used in the route is pretty dissapointing but thank god AI drives there. I do still wonder why those do or don't get implemented. We saw it with the meissen branch on DRA. wondering how those extensions or choices to do or don't make a little branch come to be.

Autogen probably does it automatically. It still has to be modeled to some extent if it exists in real life so it doesn't seem like nothing is there

Tried it yesterday evening, and can confirm this. In my opinion definitely a bug.

I feel you... The missing branches on the route are a big wasted opportunity to make a good thing even better. I recently made a thread about this in the suggestions forum.

I think it is clear that it is a bug, however, what I dont understand is, why is it only affecting free roam services?! I mean, as a timetable service I am running over exactly the same 2000Hz magnet... Why is it not stopping those services?!

And I have just tried it again with A Vectron on KT41811 @10:42, I have passed it without an issue.

Yeah, I meant I can confirm that it only affects free roam services, sorry for being unclear :o
Tried it with several different vehicles in free roam (628, 612, 110, 111) with the same result.

Perhaps in timetable mode, only the the PZB magnets necessary for the particular service along the journey are being set active, so the "bad" magnet is not active at all when doing timetable services? Maybe free roam activates them all, and that triggers the issue.

Interesting idea! Probably true, still bares the question why this would be done like this. And why, when in free roam, all the other magnets would be switched on, rather then just the one on your route. Every time you think you understand how the game works it surprises you:D

People who have build routes with the editor, do you have an explanation for this?

Right now it's just me guessing wildly ;)
I could imagine that it's easier for timetable services to script the PZB only along the route the player is going to take. Maybe even makes managing all the AI trains easier, since they don't have to obey any PZB rules, and just run their scripted course. Again, that's just my own guess.
On the other hand, in free roam the game has to be ready for every course the player is going to plot, so all PZB systems along the route have to be "armed". But then it would affect the AI trains too, which defeats my argument from above... hmm.

A sneak peek into the game's core code would be an interesting experience for sure :D

Well, I just encountered one of TSW4 head scratchers. I was driving service RB(79007) to Saltzburg. Still trying to get the hang of the 111's throttle, so was running 10 minutes late. Just as I was approaching Freilassing, got a red on the approach, about 1.5 km from platform. After several minutes, went to the map and saw a train sitting at the platform I needed. Waited a few more minutes and no change. Went back to the map snd deleted the train in question, but forgot to delete the path. Now had a signal to proceed and did so. Once in the station, I "walked on" the path of that deleted train so get thrown out with a UE error.
Now the weird part. Today, I came back in at the save I had made just prior to the red signal. Went free roam and flew into the station just to see that 4024 pulling out, freeing up the platform. Back into my cab and proceeded into the station stop without issues.

The same thing happened to Matt when DTG showcased the route. When you are really late the S Bahn service gets entry into the platform before you and obviously follows its timetable, which sees it leaving some minutes later. After that you can follow your original path.

Sorry if this was clear, however, I believe that this answers your question for this behaviour?!

Yeah I think the RE/DB services are supposed to stop at track 2 like they do irl but now they share track 1 with the S3 (and if they are in the S4 from Bad Reichenhall) definitely something I’m changing in my rework of the timetable

I have to correct myself. Just found a service GAG 60659 (@11:07) which was also stopped at this 2000Hz magnet. No idea what is supposed to be so special about this service. Also drove this with the Vectron, so the setup is similar to the above tested services...

When playing S-Bahn services, the passenger information system isn't working. At least in journey mode.

There is some absurdity that the schedule is carrying 7 double-decker carriages and there are no people on the platforms. This is stupidity. It was possible to add a regio connection to the 425 on this route and a stop at each stop. It would be more interesting... Maybe it's not real, but it's a game.

DB RE rolling stock there was a slight bit more varied but it's still normal. there isn't looked at the amount of people on a platform and the train extended or lengthened each few hours. usually that's done yearly. the RE was and still is the only all stopping service from Salzburg to München. and runs up and down that strech the whole day. it's easier to have enough coaches to support passengers all day than losing customers because you planned for the moment there's nobody taking a train. MU's are easily split and connected but push pull services take way more time.

I've found a passenger on pot! Well, a passenger on a pot anyway. Was looking for collectibles at Bergen (Oberbay) and saw this lady listerning to her music, or possibly to a yogic-flying podcast. She was still there after I'd walked around the rest of the station.

Another bizarre thing. At Salzburg Taxham this concrete hole is above a road...

DTG must have sneaked in an update for this route?! Did I miss this announcement?

The issue which I reported above seems to be fixed, This is what the Esig into Rosenheim shown now into Platform 1:
    upload_2024-3-21_23-26-13.png

    Which is really great!

BUT: I have something to complain as well:( When the next signal (19ZU2) shows Hp0 (red), 19G should show a Zs3 "6", as the next signal is only 600m away, which it did in the past (even though it showed a Zs3 "4"). Now it has no Zs3 indication any more and looks like this:
    upload_2024-3-21_23-30-6.png

If you are driving a heavy cargo train and approach with 80, which is allowed ahead of this signal, this can already be quite hard to stop in time...

In case you are intending to fix this as well, DTG, here is another strange observation I made with those two signals. When your train ends up on an occupied plattform which requires you to be at 60kph at 19ZU2, 19G will actually indicate a Zs3 "9" as well (for clarification, the situation above was created in free roam, where the rout actually ends ahead of 19ZU2, hence, 19G did not show this). Again, it should show Zs3 "6" (or "4" is fine as well, I guess).

Another thing, I have also noticed that the "Deckunssignal" on the platforms now have this affect on 19ZU2:
    upload_2024-3-21_23-43-52.png
Which is also great:D In reality, however, as we have learned from WeightOnWheels 19ZU2 would in this case show a Zs3 "6" and a Zs3v "2" and the lonely Zs3 in front of the plattform would show "2".
    upload_2024-3-21_23-51-9.png
At the moment this stays dark.

And I have not even talked about the other advanced signals at Km0,9 (as in the postes above, also explaned by WeightOnWheels )

Not expecting all of this implemented, TBH, but the more, the better:cool:

Oh, and thanks for the update:D

Yes it does. Guess it's there to let some natural sunlight into the underpass. And also rain :)
Next time I'm in the area, I'll test if the "hovering above the traffic" part really works :D

Just encountered a very minor timetable issue with RB 59415 departing Rosenheim at 12:01 towards Traunstein. Nothing big, just wanted to mention it.

Scheduled arrival at Bad Endorf is 12:14:30, departure 12:15:00. So far, so good.
Scheduled arrival at Prien is 12:28:00, departure 12:29:00.
Since the journey from Bad Endorf to Prien only takes about 7 to 8 minutes, I arrived at 12:21:40 and had to sit around and wait for 7 more minutes there. No big deal, but poor 628 which wanted to depart towards Aschau had to wait almost 10 minutes in front of its red signal, because my departure signal was set to green all the time and we have to use the same track :o

My suggestion: Move the player arrival time at Prien to 12:23:00, keep the 12:29:00 departure but let the Aschau service depart first.

I have not been able to get any creators club liveries to appear randomly in timetable mode for the 111. Has anyone else had this problem? The liveries for the 185.2, 185.5 and 193 show up just fine. In fact, I would say that the 185.5 liveries show up more frequently here, than in DRA. I was also wondering why there are three versions of the 111 to choose from. Was this addressed by DTG? I thought maybe it was talked about in the stream but I couldn't find it. Perhaps this is why liveries do not appear? This on Series S.

We are here in Traunstein Train Station.
I think that the three foot crossings here should all look like this.

But what exactly happened here I can't even imagine that it was intentional. That looks kind of strange.

    Addendum

I've just noticed that there are still bright lights on the small central platform on the outside. At the very end you can clearly see what it should probably look like. Is it possible that we can get the long drawn out part of my previous post revised?

Here in the picture the transition to the central platform looks very well done and correct

It's great to see, that these bugs are getting sorted. There is still hope for me, it will be solved even in Linke Rheinstrecke, where is plenty of wrong signals connected to junctions. I want to love Linke Rheinstrecke, but I can't with these bugs, because I'm playing HUDless, and it is not possible.

Is there any ETA for a fix of the late closing level crossings right after Rosenheim?

I see I posted this message in the out now thread by accident so here it is in the acual feedback thread. I'd also like to add I drove the first timetable journey freight service from Salzburg Liefering to Rosenheim, train number I forgot. and just before the rosenheim bridge the windscreen wipers stopped working. Playing on PC (steam) with no mods.

"This has been a bug since the release. everything taking the same route the freight train is going into salzburg. blocking outbound tracks for no good reason. I'm testing timetable timings and speed for myself and as you can see. with a single go via marker I can put trains on the right path. is this being looked into for a hopeful future patch or does this need to keep getting mentioned?"[IMG]

Same issue as with the BR 103 at Left Rhine. No creators club liveries appear there. This a bit of a shame because the liveries work at the Niddatalbahn with the 103 and can be spotted randomly at Bad Vilbel. Some liveries for the 111 at Salzburg - Rosenheim are just brilliant! Especially the orient red one.

Although I knew about the failure of the 103 liveries to appear on LFR, I did not know that they are able appear on NID. According to DTG the failure of liveries to appear can be attributed to just a box that isn't checked. Why this box doesn't get checked, or why DTG doesn't go ahead and check it after hearing about the problem, is completely unknown to me. I agree that the 111 does have some great liveries though. Since you knew about the 103, would you happen to know if the 101 liveries appear on any route at all? I have never seen a 101 livery in timetable mode.

Yeah I've never ever seen the 101 appear in any creator's club liveries, sadly.
