going off what i seen today for next weeks April 1st Fools Joke i found something quite hmm but i have had this feeling now since goblin release its all but coming as we see the London skyline in the background on that route and today seen a underground loco on the route i have to say i think that Dovetail are working on the London Underground Hammersmith & City line its got 29 station on the full route as seen on this post from DTG Alex Monday, April 1st: (No Livestream)
Be sure to keep a close eye over our various social channels for any April 1st fooling we may get up to! We've been known to be fans of tricks, teasers and those interested in the exceptionally r̶a̶r̶e̶.. pink? its funny because the line on the tube map is Pink so i think its 100% coming i hope i am right it has the S7 Stock witch is a challenging loco to drive on TSC so would be great to see in TSW plus the route would be a great DLC i hope this becomes true and if so i think it will be one of the 3 routes for this years Summer Core Update AKA TSW4 Season 2

This is entirely just speculation. It would be nice though.
Also, where was a London Underground loco seen there?

And pink probably just refers to DTG’s fixation with LGBT stuff. Anyway,on the tube map, isn’t the Metropolitan Line (given the H&C is now part of the Circle Line) more purple than pink.

The H&C line is not now part of the Circle line!

Pink might refers to C2C as well.

Vern now off to study the latest TfL map…

Edit. Well, well. So it is and pink as well. Though as noted so is the C2C albeit pink with dashes.

It’s possible with the whole “pink” clue but seeing an underground train on the Goblin Line really doesn’t prove anything.

It was mentioned in the preview stream that somewhere along the route you will see underground AI service.

I don't think fixation is the word I would use.
I'm sure the members of the LGBTQ+ community who are also part of this community appreciate DTG's contributions.

    I'm intruiged.

What does C2C mean? I've seen it referenced a lot in the Goblin line discussions.

What traditional railway people call the London, Tilbury and Southend line, aka LTS, running from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness.

City to Coast. I believe it was adopted when the current franchisee took on the lines from Fenchurch Street through Barking to Shoeburyness.

It doesn't actually mean anything, and C2C said that themselves.

Out of interest. How did you reach that conclusion?

Just to confirm, "Fixation"(noun), an obsessive interest in or feeling about someone or something."

For example "That chap referenced a section of the community which was totally out of context, I think he may have an obsessive, negative fixation on the subject"

Has anyone seen the sign on the EMU sheds at East Ham? It says Doncaster works 1956! I wondered if this was a clue for something as it seems odd to have on the sheds unless they are a reused asset from ECML.
The class 302 that was built for the LTS was built in Doncaster however I believe in1958. Could be a clue, Red herring or nothing

OldVern Fair enough. I hope DTG do decide to have a pink theme over their next releases, that'll be Hammersmith & City, C2C and the East London Line.

I'll be very happy with that but I suspect those who aren't from Essex or London might get a bit annoyed.

Possibly just an asset taken from Doncaster Works, the Class 302s were built in three batches from the summer of 1958 to spring 1960. Though they initially operated on West Anglia as a stop-gap before the 305s were delivered and on the Great Eastern while the 306 and 307s were being converted from DC to AC. The LTS went electric in 1962.

It'll go back to LTS or London Tilbury & Southend one day but that brand was a bit toxic back in the 90s after the line essentially became Network South East's Heritage railway with rotten punctuality, life-expired infrastructure and a bit of a crime problem. So Prism went for the "C2C" name, the origins and meaning of which are still contested. My old colleagues suggested it was a playful twist on "City to Sea" that started life as a code name for the renewal project.

There’s a London Underground train in the trailer for C2C Country music festival :D

C2C: Country to Country is Europe’s biggest country music festival created by AEG Europe and SJM Concerts in association with the Country Music Association. The festival takes place in March in London, Glasgow and Belfast with three days of the best in country music and programming. Performances come from the world’s best country stars as well as emerging talent from Nashville, UK and Europe.

C2C Festival will return on Friday 14th to Sunday 16th March 2025 to London The O2, Glasgow OVO Hydro, and The SSE Arena, Belfast. Tickets will go on general sale in the Autumn.

I think if there was more stuff pointing to underground you may have had something, but if the word “pink” is the only thing, I think that’s way off.

personally it just made me think of Matt’s likeness for the colour. Id say it’s more of a teaser for hello kitty series 500 train, but I don’t think it’s that neither :D

There you go. Officially, it means nothing. Internally it was a renewal project code name that morphed. LTS Rail was deemed to be too toxic as I said, so my old colleagues went with C2C. Again, as I said, the original feeling was that it was a playful take on "City to Sea" but when people who work there aren't sure of the exact reason or it's something as unsexy as a placeholder name for a project, they're going to put out press releases like the one above.

I always assumed it meant something along the lines of City to Coast considering it actually serves that purpose.

Obviously as there's no official meaning, that's just my interpretation.

Generally the aim of having a company name which is a set of initials which don’t actually stand for anything is to get people debating what it stands for, which gives the company free publicity.

Based on this thread, it appears to be mission accomplished.

    Anyone remember QC?

    Back to original topic,
Having just done the Suffragette line, I really hope they don't do another london based stop start commuter route.
There are so many other areas that need love

Totally agree that Wales is needed. I'll post a suggestion in the main speculation thread though. Just to ensure the OP gets understandably disappointed that this discussion is going off-piste.

I personally think we have too many electric trains in the game.. too many UK electric trains anyway. I don't really have an interest in any other routes aside from the UK so don't know whether there's any electric locos from other countries in the game....
I mean, yeah, we don't have any old electric UK trains but I definitely think some more modern UK diesel units/locos are needed a bit more:

    • For modern diesels, we have; 158 (X2), 170, 166, HST (X2) and the 66.

    • For modern electrics, we have; 377 (X2), 375, 387, 465, 385, 710, 700, 801, 483, 484, 323 (X2), 313, 314 and the LU stock.

We have too many third rail electrics and modern AC electric units but so far we have NO electric UK locos, no slamdoor electrics, no noisy AC electrics i.e 319s, 317s.

And plus there could be a side DLC with the RAT trains and battery locos because AP was sound recording with RATS trains last year?

For sure! WCML Shap with a Class 86/87 in the 80's would go down a treat :) Already a good amount of BR stock that could layer on to it as well.

This would also benefit BPO, finally filling Preston with the 86/87s. It's ridiculous to see an electrified station without any electric trains!

I think Preston to Carlisle is a rare example of a middle section of route that feels right. I love the TSC version. I think one with tapper AC locos 86 and 87 would be more interesting that a modern one with 390s but all three should be in TSW ASAP.
