This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.
Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition.
    Rules:
    • TSC only shots allowed.
    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.
    • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.
    • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).
    • The Judge of the week's decision is final.
    • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.
    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.
Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST on Friday, April 5th 2024 and will be judged by me - Lily Yoshimi
In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, March 7th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll.

Theme for this week : "London Midland Region"
Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

this can be done under any Era of TSC from steam to modern day i'm just saying "London Midland Region" for the Geographic area of Region of BR so that would range the London mainlines coming from Euston and Pancras of the Ex LMS

I'm an American. Is Liverpool considered the Midlands? If so here is a Freightliner class 70 passing through Liverpool South Parkway station. Liverpool Manchester line. Fun side note one of these engines was dropped at the dock and went back to GE in Erie, Pennsylvania for repairs and now it sometimes can be seen running their line with US locos attached to it for testing.

I hope you find this map helpful and to assist in aiding your confusion

also this might also be helpful for you
    "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Midland_Region_of_British_Railways"

At its inception, the LMR's territory consisted of ex-LMS lines in England and Wales. The Mersey Railway, which had avoided being "Grouped" with the LMS in 1923, also joined the LMR. The LMR's territory principally consisted of the West Coast Main Line (WCML), the Midland Main Line (MML) south of Carlisle, and the ex-Midland Cross Country route from Bristol to Leeds.

Possibly my favourite livery ever used on the Midland Mainline, 43058 heads a London St. Pancras bound HST service past the Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station, (known in our family as the local "Cloud Factory") between Nottingham & Loughborough.

An MGR coal train headed by 58 028 is seen trundling under the Bennerley Viaduct between Ilkeston & Langley Mill, on it's way to Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station, via the huge Toton Sidings, on the Erewash Branch of the Midland Mainline.

It's actually not Nuclear but is the Coal fired power station just South of Nottingham.
It is the last remaining operational coal-fired power station in the UK, and is scheduled to close in September 2024.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratcliffe-on-Soar_Power_Station
It can be found on the Just Trains Derby - Nottingham - Leicester section of the immense JT Midland Mainline route, and trust me it is beautifully modelled you can actually drive around it, unload your wagons etc.

They are currently on sale if you hurry, I highly recommend them, they are terrific.

I think some models for it might be in the European asset pack? (the huge cooling towers).

it was meant to be Converted To a Biomass plant but just two years ago it paid out for a 5 year contract of a million tons of coal a year apparently about 3 years after it was publicly stated it was fully converted to Biomass (a form of wood pulp and chip)

    Time For the results:

In Third Place A lovely image of a TFW Class 158 Traveling along one of my favourite routes of TS and I can say it's FAR and away a much better route to travel on in person the way the road and rail are to tightly intertwined Crossing over one another mile after mile Congratulations for I`m a railfan obviously there submission[IMG]

Second Place: you have a Vac Smashing there way towards Glasgow something they used to do in service Theses monsters when working in pairs not only climbed Shap summit but flattened un affected blazing over over on there rampage north to Carlisle Thankyou for trainsandgames for submitting it this week
    [IMG]

Before I Declare the winner the winner I do want to commend Craigie-C for there submission I Love EMR Purple This is with both Services Leaving Leicester Northbound with the by the looks another 222 Unit sitting in Platform 3 a nice Level of Detail there that maybe some missed however Now Want to announce the Winner.[IMG]

and for the Winner it is once again Craigie-C weather there intent to or not they recreated a photo on the MML with one small difference
That is in one of my Local pubs of a HST in Full HST MML Blue Pre dating East midlands Parkway in the same location, Said photo is hanging one of the Pubs in Hathern one of the now towns that was once serviced by a shared station with Zouch the Station in question closed in the 1960's but the site is still somewhat noticeable to this day being on the new Unfortoanly I cannot find record of the photo online
