    This, coming right after my interest in German content just reached a new peak, is perfect. I would love to have this riding behind the 101.

    It looks like the cab car we're all looking for. But looking at the image I wonder: where does the reflection come from if there is no track to the right of the RE? If instead it was to the left of the RE, then I hypothesize that the IC is too short.

    What date is today? <•// >{

    I don’t think it’s a reflection it’s just looking through the window and through to the other other side window, I don’t even think the dostos windows reflect (at least in TSW anyhows)

    From what I see in the reflection the headlight clusters dont match to what everyone is saying it is. Also can someone explain why people are so excited for another silent german DVT?

    Who sayed that it would be silent? Shure a cab car is awalys quieter than a locomotive, but the IC cab car has really loud and iconic rolling sounds. If done right, you'll have more noise in the cab of the IC Cab car, than in the BR Class 170.

    Thats the "dosto cab car syndrome which came with all the dlcs ;). For now we have 2 (karlsruher kopf) included. The ic cab car is a must for a complete set.

    I agree. One just has to remember, that the Dosto was the second ever German train in TSW and is now 5 years old without being updated. DTG has really improved with their sounds.

    It looks slick and very unique. I heard it doesn't have afb so it will be a bit more of a challenge and the quieter sound make controlling it more challenging too.
    Could we stop with the "why this train" kind of complaints please? We all want something else afterall. Keep an open mind. When I bought TSW 2 I did not touch US freight for a long time. Then I did and found it interesting. Variety is the spice of life and more trains the better. :)

    Because it is quite common that those Intercitys drove with cab cars mostly here in Germany. It is more rare to see an IC Train without them so when the 101 released, it was like there was always something missing.

    Also, while cab cars normally are quite, it's doenst have to be a boring experience. Its the way they are implementing sound and controls etc.

    Maybe from outside of Germany it seems weird, but the IC Cab Car is a stable of InterCity Traffic here.

    People are looking forward to it mostly cos it's something that frankly should have been included in the 101's original release, and also cos it is actually quite a common sight. While I've not been to Germany to count them, they are a pretty common fixture both in the myriad of trainspotting videos I've watched of the country and in the timetables of Zusi 3, be it driveable or on the back of the consist.

    Also, while I'm here, there is a bit more to it than a 'silent german DVT'. For example, the IC Steuerwagen actually has a powerhandle setup identical to the BR 111, where you can either run up, idle, or run down, or gain access to a smooth control. Furthermore, based on driving them in Zusi 3, AFB is notable in its absence, so it would actually make for a good experience. (Also silent DVT is a weird way of putting it because I could have a lot of people breathing down my neck very easily if a DBSO ever came to be in the game and I referred to it as such, so it cuts both ways.)
