    Project Board has been setup so everyone can see whats getting worked on. (This relies on me updating this, please bare with me as I sometimes forget to update.
    --

    So right now I'm just playing around with the tools and just having fun project, it'll be a long time before I release this if it ever gets finished.

    But I thought I'd shared what progress I've made so far.
    About a week worth of track laying and Sheffield Station signals finished.

    Conisborough Viaduct WIP model.

    Used the existing Doncaster assets from the Peteborough to Doncaster route. (LNER)
    Working on Signals still and blocking out more accurate buildings.

    This looks fantastic! Wish there was a way to get these routes on PS4 too - a bit like creators club with liveries I suppose.

    Doncaster to sheffield was going to be one of my routes but I've not been on the editor for a long time now. and I changed my mind to do Skegness to Grantham

    This is amazing and it woul de an awesome finished project this is what i hoped to achieve on my route (chiltern mainline 'snow hill - lemington spa') but im so new i was struggling with basic track laying and left it be so i cant wait to see some cool projects released from others. keep it up its a route id def like to play

    Simple blockout of the Network Rail building made in blender, this building doesn't exist in the DLC.

    Just a little update, so I will be using real world buildings and logos. As this is a mod and nothing more, I don't believe there will be a problem.

    Doncaster to Sheffield is a hefty route to do, the amount of signals and issues I have had with routing issues due to the complexity of some of the stations and tracks has been infuriating.

    Just out of interest. Where did you get the gradient profiles, signal diagrams and speed limits for the route?

    This is how it should look in terms of how QGis ScratchLayer and Height analysing is setup.
    For the layers you need to add each lidar source invidiually. And before you lay down any lines for the scratch layer change its properties for visuals as it will look like its not drawing anything when you first set it up.

    To get the height you need to find a point and zoom in on the graph as I've not found a way to display only height atm.

    Some blockouts of the residential towers, and a lot of reworking on the tracks due to some alignment issues.

    Note: When placing track down and connecting double check the section joint as it will sometimes be unaligned and cause the train to jolt left or right depending on how bad the joint connection is.

    Regarding track heights: Sometimes you'll be best to ignore what qgis displays and sometimes it buries the track much lower than it look like it should.

    I'm always over ambitious with stuff, i'm taking it slow with this as I'm still learning how stuff works and 3d modelling techniques.

    Tramway Tracks have been placed but are not planned to be functioning, as I've no idea how to do any of the train stuff.

    Overview of sheffield station, the whole stretch of the route is fully completeable with all signals placed, named.
    Signal Route Rules will be applied when everything is finished.

    Slow progress on gradients of tracks along the route, lots of testing and adjustments.

    You may only be one person working on this but the progress is already looking great and I have to say I really hope you see this through because I am excited! Been on this route many times growing up and would so dearly love driving it. Keep it up your work is good this could be huge!

    I can tell you from personal experience working in there that the tittle "meadowhell" is very much fitting and so is that blockout looks spot on, I'm really hoping you nail the look of the glass bridges over the tracks too or as I like to call them the saunas with how bad they are in summer

    Looks like trams will be doable =)
    So far the DLCs needed will be Fife Circle (Class 170), West Coast (Class 158), East Coast (Peterborough to Doncaster) and for the Trams Edinburgh-Glasgow DLC.

    Meadowhall Station Audio Announcements are functioning but the NPC AI isn't functioning currently for the stations (no idea atm).

    Currently going through more gradient adjustments to cleanup the tracks before applying a temp platform to export to blender.

    Looks like Meadowhall is going to be a main centerpiece of this route and I'm all for it loving the look of it good loco selection too! Do you know if there's a way to force liveries on the locos? Good work though its looking good :)

    Only if you make them in the Editor and not the Livery Designer, which frankly you should be doing anyway.

    Oh no, I just started working on it as it was a big section I wanted to get blocked out, but it is a big area so it'd probably stand out most.
    And multple services do stop here.

    158 and 170 setup to have new liveries, exporting mesh data next to see if I need to change the model uvs due to how decals are placed.

    Exported meshes will be imported into Substance Painter to make new liveries.

    Unfortunately the Class 170 Destination List is different to how other trains generate it so destination displays might not be doable.

    Yeah I believe in the preview stream for Fife rivet said their destination displays atm use a different system to the universal one other locos have and as such only display destinations on Fife circle line, until/unless they change that I'm not too sure if you'll be able to do much about it
