This is a thing many people might agree on. Here is my reasoning: Many people don’t know how to activate or acknowledge the Safety Systems, but the only tutorial about it is the ‘PZB Introduction’ (Or maybe PZB isn’t a safety system, so maybe none) and nothing else. No AWS/TPWS, DSD or Vigilance Tutorials. And before you ask ‘What loco could do these tutorials?’, Most likely the 323 TTC could be used for it. If it has all 3 Safety Systems I’ve mentioned. So yeah, we DEFINITELY need tutorials for the Safety Systems.
I think you mean the LZB one on KWG. PZB is in deed a safety system but a different one. it's indeed really lacking ingame. and you now need to look stuff up to learn it.
To get closer to a simulator, the safety systems should be activated by default (in real railways, faulty control systems lead to the reformation of the element and a driver cannot leave with an isolated system. Why not not implement a driving learning system with all the controls which, once successful, allows you to drive the different equipment on the lines
in one of recent updates, they were supposed to put in the game sth that would show you before you depart if you dont have safety systems active (so you can achieve maximum score)... but for me it doesnt show, dunno if it is cos of a bug, or because I have "expert" option ON in options... but even though I am pretty experienced at this point, I would appreciate a helper which would tell me if I forgot to set sth up (different locos have stuff at different spots) maybe they could modify certain sections of the Training Center to fit PZB, LZB and other safety stuff included in-game
https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...in-sim-world-settings-explained#Player-Assist here? I believe there is also sth like safety system helper, which shows lets say at PZB when you should acknowledge stuff... but I dont remember anything letting me know I should activate safety systems (I do activate them by habit)... which I guess should happen lets say once you set reverser to forward? or is it supposed to show stuff right as you start a service before you even do anything?
Yep. It should tell you regardless of where the reverser is, and as far as I've seen it'll show up throughout.
"Display Safety System Helper ON/OFF HUD elements help with the operation of Safety Systems." there is this... but thats that PZB helping thing I do use to remind me to acknowledge... but nothing is showing me like "hey, you dont have ..., ... and ... turned on"
I know it is asking a lot, but can you provide some screenshot so I can see if I saw sth like that or not? I mean, cos... I start a service and it just shows objectives and such, traction lock... but no reminder to turn safety stuff on... I know what I have to turn on, but I would welcome sth to remind me just in case
here, approx. 19:21 timestamp - Matt says that around +3 above speed limit it will start beeping, and if you get to +6 and more, it will apply penalty brakes... but as soon as he gets to +4, it starts beeping and AUTOMATICALLY cuts the throttle and applies brakes, he presses Q and just resets the throttle... not that me or any sane person would try and go that much faster than speed limit, but except of speed drops (when you may happen to find yourself way above), it seems it is virtually impossible to exceed the speed limit that much is this prototypical? I mean, if ACSES detects speeding and you acknowledge it, it automatically takes care of stuff? just want to make sure the game doesnt drive itself there, y know my OCD brain, loving it edit: I have just found another thread explaining this... and to me looks like ACSES is like an artificial helping hand to make sure that if you by any means overspeed more than 6-7mph, it locks throttle and applies brakes... *sigh* didnt know that
