Remember that the Roadmap lists both an unspecified UK route and loco. Just because the 380 gut teased doesn't mean a more requestet loco isn't coming.
I think the 380 will be part of a new commuter route, something out of Glasgow. For the loco DLC I would rather guess it's the IC225 for ECML.

How about we move away from Scotland for a year or two and give Wales and the north of England its much needed diesel love

Could make good use of that Northern license. Most routes in northern England would use them.

A 321 would be preferable to a 320 in my opinion. 321s ran on 4 mainlines out of London, for West Yorkshire PTE services and some are now having a second life as parcels units. Anyway, were not getting either unit or any of the routes the 321s run on any time soon.

This is great if it’s not a joke… The more Scotrail we get the better.. Honestly think it’s time Glasgow Central gets a new route too.

I heard Jasper say something about it being on the 9th while he was talking about the new updates coming to FCL so I assume it's then.

Not sure which thread it was in, but I definitely remember seeing 9th April too. Because I remember seeing TSW Nathan 's post (Happy Birthday btw!) and feeling sorry for him that the roadmap wasn't on his birthday like he'd thought it was.

Could be cathcart is getting an extension/remake. Maybe to Motherwell and Lanark??? Idrk. Paisley Canal??? Inverclyde line??? Or maybe it's a completely new line like the Ayrshire Coast! :D:D Ayrshire Coast Line.png 20240401_105229.jpg 20240401_105712.jpg

The Route looks a pretty nice length. I would love to see this happen. Maybe this will be the next UK Route DTG are working on ??.

I made a suggestion a while back for an extended Cathcart to Motherwell and glasgow central low level, something that would definitely be intresting to see

If that's the case then I probably would buy it.. I think the reason I don't really like CCL is just because I find it boring and short with not much to see along the line (as far as I know) so an extension with a new train would definitely be something I would buy.
A new train on its own however.....

If it's Ayrshire Coastal with a 380 I'll tut because it's Scotland again but then buy it and enjoy it because it's not been in a Train Sim before for a change. It's been a while since we've had a route that's not in TSC.

They posted a half built modern diesel loco yesterday. I didn’t care to screenshot or download as they posted it themselves so thought they would keep it. Came to this forum to see no one discussing about it so went back to check their socials and no surprise it was deleted.

I would love it if it was a Class 70 - I don't care whether it's Rivet that would be making it.. you could give me a box with a png image of a 70 or any new loco and I'd take it in a heartbeat!

I really do hope it's a Class 70.. 68 would be equally as good though, but the 70 is my personal favourite out of the two.

I really don't get this view- and it actually makes me sympathize with DTG despite their many questionable decisions.

Firstly, this isn't aimed at you, specifically, but i have to just shake my head that people are complaining about selling DLC for "a dead route", when, metaphorically speaking, every third post on this forum is a lament about yet another "fire and forget route" being sold, or another "big, empty station that DTG was too lazy too fill out".

A 380 for Cathcart is exactly what the devs SHOULD be making based on that feedback, right? This is how you fill out big stations (a new route with 5 new trainsets isn't feasible let's be real here). This the antithesis of fire and forget.

So, what do we actually want lol?

FWIW, i don't really like Cathcart Circle at all, personally, but i appreciate what they're trying to do, assuming it all wasn't just April Fool's nonsense.

Oh, 68+coaches? We only have two likely options then. 68 Scotrail+Mk2s (I think there were only 2 or 4 trains) or Chiltern Railways, with the Mk3s+DVTs (8 trains). I would exclude the Intercity TransPennine Express, given their retirement.
It would be nice to see both 68 and the 88. They're very similar, after all.

Yep. However, I believe that this unit doesn't necessarily have to concern the Scottish routes. I think they'll do (if confirmed) both DRS and Scotrail livery? (although no more passenger services will be operated as of 2020).

That would be good, the DRS 68 could be used on more routes as freight and the ScotRail one could obviously be used on whatever Scottish routes I would have in real life. 2 in 1!

They should only make two of them, with presence of the Push/Pull on the Scotrail one (2 units).

Well, remember MaxBenchip, when only South Eastern routes came out?
DTG is like this. When they receive licenses in a British area, they try to make the most of them!

I don't blame DTG for focusing on a specific area for a limited time. It's much easier to get reference in one area at once and the individual routes get much more populate with trains and services from the different DLCs. If they would jump to a new area after each DLC, all routes would be as empty as i.e. Birmingham and Manchester are right now. I'd rather like to opportunity to have multiple routes that form a network. Look at London Commuter for expample and how many services there are if you have the class 313 and Southeastern class 375.

I feel like in the near future we would see DTG focus on the West (Northern? TFW? Avanti?). We'll see!

I'd love to see TfW come to the game, especially if it meant we'd get the WAG sets! I'd also love to have the 175 in the game however with their unfortunate withdrawal I'm not sure how possible that will be....

If DTG are planning on giving attention to Scottish rail I hope they can also put their Northern license to more use at some point too.

    Oh, I hope to see a Triple 3, 156, 158, Caf 195 and 331 soon.
    A 150 or 170 wouldn't be bad either.

I do not know much about UK rails, but considering all the modern stuff in the game is just EMUs or DMUs, the 68 actually pulling passenger wagons sounds amazing to me. Would be a preorder from me, clearly something unique.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Um, England has plenty routes. A focus on Scotland ain't such a bad thing. Used to be we only get 1 route per game. 1 route and 2 new trains ain't that big a deal if that's what it is. Quit your whining. They'll be a new English route soon enough.

I didn't say it was wrong ! I quite like it even. To focus on one side of the UK so we have "quality" content.

Mind if it is a 380 and it is for Cathcart, they really need to sort out the station lighting. Just doing a run with the 314, after dark and the stations are in pitch blackness. No lights on whatsoever. Add to that the lack of ambient lighting or light pollution from the surrounding city and you might as well be running a text based simulator! I’m sure that was a long standing complaint about Cathcart but yet another in the stack of reported issues, shovelled under the rug which now threatens to topple DTG Towers!

Weird. TFW is owned by the Welsh government. There shouldn't be huge problems, like with private ones.
