I would love to see Tehachapi Pass in Train Sim World 4 or later expansions. I know its available for Train Simulator Classic, but that game is out of date to me. The graphics are outdated and are not as good as TSW. Please Dovetail Games hear our please for route suggestions. Thanks.

In case you haven’t read elsewhere, anything US freight is on hiatus until further notice. TBH, if you’re on PC Tehachapi is best experienced in Run 8 as part of their wider SoCal network. If we were to get Tehachapi at some point in TSW, perhaps set back a few years before the track improvements and doubling when the F units and early hood diesels were still king.

I'd love to have SP Cab Forwards and other SP steam power on Tehachapi, along with ATSF 2-10-2s, 2-10-4s, and/or 4-8-4s. That probably won't happen for a long time (if at all). If we get Tehachapi, I'd like to see both SP and ATSF locomotives, since ATSF had trackage rights over the route. SP and ATSF had yards in Mojave and Bakersfield, which are still in use with UP and BNSF. The best-known section of the route is, of course, the Tehachapi Loop at Walong, where long freight trains cross over themselves.

As for locomotives on this route, here's what I want:

    -SP Steam:
    -AC-Class Cab Forward
    -4-10-2
    -2-8-0

    -ATSF Steam:
    -2-10-2 "Santa Fe" 3800-Class
    -3751, 3765, and/or 3776-Class 4-8-4
    -2900-Class 4-8-4
    -5000, 5001, and/or 5011-Class 2-10-4

    -SP Diesel:
    -SD9(E) "Cadillac"
    -GP9
    -SW1500
    -GP30
    -GP35
    -FM H-12-44
    -SD38-2
    -SD45
    -SD45X
    -SD40T-2
    -SD45T-2
    -C44-9W
    -AC4400CW
    -SD40(R)
    -GP38-2
    -GP40-2
    -GP60

    -ATSF Diesel:
    -GP7/GP9
    -FM H-12-44
    -FM H-16-44
    -NW2
    -Alco RSD15 "Alligator"
    -SD24/SD26 Rebuild
    -GP38(u)
    -GP39-2
    -GP30
    -GP35
    -GP40X
    -GP50
    -GP60
    -GP60M
    -GP60B
    -SD40/SD40-2
    -SD45
    -SD45-2
    -F45/FP45/SDF40-2 Cowl Units
    -U30CG
    -U36C/SF30C Rebuild
    -B36-7
    -C30-7
    -C40-8W/C41-8W
    -C44-9W
    -SD75M

    -BNSF/UP Power:
    -ES44AC
    -ET44AC/BNSF ET44C4
    -C44-9W
    -AC4400CW
    -GP60-Series
    -SD40-2
    -UP SD90-43MAC
    -UP SD70M/BNSF SD70MAC
    -BNSF SD75M/I
    -UP C60AC
    -UP DDA40X

You are probably wasting your time putting a huge list like that. Even if Tehachapi got made, which seems unlikely as already pointed out, DTG would at best bring one new loco to the route. And you can forget anything steam as that’s even more of the “can do” list than North American freight.

Is the SD70ACe and the SD70Ace-T4 there in action too?

Very nice proposal. It would have impressive landscape and impressive northamerican freight trains.

Once again, yet another Route Suggestion that's Nice in a lot of way's but ah so horrible as to it's a point A to point B Route which players don't want that, super Boring they are, No different from Passenger Services in-game or Cajon Pass and Horseshoe Curve which we already have. Notch 8 the whole-time running upgrade on a Mountain railroad with little to No sidings gives next to No overall gameplay.

To be honest, I would rather have a Route like Kansas City, I don't care which mainline you pick from outside city limits as long as the majority of the Inner-City lines are made giving players the ability to move all around to different area's for switching, so players can Run any American Railroad Locomotive on it as the area in Real Life holds a lot to be played with. Up, BNSF, NS, KCS, CP all run within an 8-mile radios. Understood CSX doesn't have an area there but doesn't mean units of theirs don't show up there. Player's want the Best of Both Worlds, mainly meaning: Mainline running and Local switching as it is either Yard Switching or Local Business Switching, Not a Route just about Mainline running with one or two sidings to switch from.
