Actually out of interest are the 350 traction motors the same as 380 traction motors? Because that is what they used for the 700 so ironically if they used 700 sounds it would probably sound accurate.
No lol but DTG aren’t exactly spot on when it comes to sounds neither… I really hope they get it right. The 380 sounds amazing in the real world.
I'd say an 85% chance of us getting a 380, if it was April fools they probably would've said so already
The desiro whine is the same as on the 350, though the actual motors themselves sound more like those on the 710
Well here’s hoping the 380 gets officially announced on Tuesday. Or do we reckon it’s too early for that….
I hope so! I'd love to see some images of it! Or even better, an audio and visual preview of the sounds! Probably too early for that though. :/
Yes in the menu if still got classic controller layout on like me u can pick standing up driving on class 314 it's my favourite for that it's great to drive like that
My only concern with the 385 on GCC is whether the current 2014 timetable is appropriate and thus whether there has been anything of significance in changes to the scenery for the route since then.
Motors aside, VVVF is identical. Both VCU's are SIBAS 32 with the same open loop PCFM control. So regardless of the motor used, they'll sound exactly the same - courtesy of Krefeld.
[Pedantic] It was actually seven units in the Saltire livery by the end, and nine in the previous livery. [/Pedantic]
pretty sure (or at least i know off), 350, 380, 450, 444, 700(DC), 707, 717(DC) all have the iconic desiro motor sound. Which at least to me all of which sounds very much similar.
If you wanted to see that you might as well have recorded Matt just going "wee weee weee weee" into a microphone
I hope DTG consider porting this over to TSC to replace the ancient model we have, kinda like what happened with the Class 385.
However, DTG's UK route will definitely be the remaster of GCC. Given the addition of JT's new UK route.
Cathcart will be getting a lot more traffic as well, presumably adding more AI to the down ayr line and lanark, maybe some argyle line services at Newton as well with the 314 subbing in Nice that we're getting both variants for the 380
it’s probably my most wanted train so I would prefer personally it comes after they’ve fixed the core Xbox issues so I can actually get on board with it rather than skip it.
I really can't get enthusiastic about the 380. Of all the routes in TSW Cathcart is one of the few that feels complete with just one train, yet for some reason they decided to make another modern EMU so soon after the Goblin line with the 710. They could have spent that time creating an add on the community actually want like the 91 or a new freight loco.
I really hope they update the lighting and weather on Cathcart. A new loco is great but those old TSW2 routes look really bad compared to the new ones. Shame to waste a great looking loco on a route that looks terrible in anything but daylight.
Glad to see the 380 come to TSW, be interesting to see what it does and the difference it will make to the timetbale It’s on my list to pick up, (when they stop neglecting consoles)
Speak for yourself, just because the vocal few want the 91, doesn't mean everyone wants it. I, for one, am happy that the 380 is coming and that the route I have spent the most time on is getting some attention.
I prefer the Class 91 to this, but Doncaster to Peterborough is such a fresh release and Cathcart Circle has been neglected for years. Can't wait for the reinvigoration of one of my favourite routes.
