So on PS I'm supposed to buy this again with no discount just to get the new / upgraded content? You can blame the platform for not having the same features as steam as much as you like but this doesn't seem fair.

 

So we get penalised all because some dumb yank decided to steal a train.....

 

Looks really really nice with the Safety systems and the scenery

 

Where is the map so we can see what is and isn't included?

So the "licensing issues" were about safety systems and door controls- fascinating!

Anyway, very excited about this release- really hope they managed to get the signalling and dispatching done right!

 

Maybe we'll get achievements on playstation since we don't get a discount!

 

No mention about layers for Penn-Station? …also how this will affect the existing layers of NY-Trenton?

I would also love to know if Playstation players get at least some sort of discount.

 

If there’s no Xbox discount that’s a very hard skip from me, and I don’t have gamepass, £30 for a new loco and 11 new stations…… yeah you’re alright

 

So can we get an official answer on what parts of the LIRR are included in the route? Obviously there's no West Hempstead or Far Rockaway branches, but what about Grand Central or St Albans? Is the Floral Park - Hicksville third track included?

 

i have known this was going down for few months now but did not think it was going to happen before the san bernardino line hope they get this right so look forward to this release 100% LIVE with this one for 4 plus hours on Mid week world of trains on 1st May

Wow Matt, DTG what a route. Didn’t the original go to Hicksville and include the captivating Hempstead Branch. I assume the Long Beach is the new bit. Really looking forward to this.

Is the loyalty discount available to Console players?

 

The loyalty discount in the article say xbox they haven't mentioned playstation to have the discount for some reason. Have pc have a 20% pre order for loyalty then going to 10%.

 

That would be a no.

DTG will just blame users for chosing to buy the game on a platform without these features.

 

Quite interested in this as I always enjoyed LIRR and had hoped for a bit (lot) more traffic and variety.
Will I be buying it again at full price? No.

 

This looks very good, and I’m quite excited about getting this on April 30…one question though, was the Main Line (JAM-Hicksville) updated to include the third track and the new stations? From the pic at Mineola, it looks like the original pre-third track build. If that’s the case, it’s a bit disappointing; however, still a day-one purchase for me.

 

I didn't saw anything talking about Amtrak or NJ Transit.. Any layers at Penn Station and Sunnyside Yard ? Please don't make the same mistake twice...

 

This is just the standard Gamepass discount, availible whether you own the original DLC or not, as long as you have Gamepass.

Still slightly better than playstation though I guess.

The pictures look amazing and the guard mode scenerio is super (although I had preferred a complete guard game mode), but as far as I can see, no passenger announcements for another rapid transit line, again. Matt, we really need that announcement feature into the core asap! - Could you say whether this a feature which could be added later as an upgrade?

BTW: Personally I would love the airtrain branch from Jamaica station to the JFK as a future extension.

 

For previous owners it should be 40-50% off!!!

Will be waiting for a significant sale discount then before I buy - as much as I’m looking forward to the route, I’m not paying full price having owned the relative shambles that was LIRR 1.0.

 

So no ps discount. Again. Shame. There must be a way to sort it through the in game store rather than the ps store.

 

I've been waiting for a remaster of this route for a very long time! And now this day has come. The news sounds good, I'm looking forward to the first reviews.

Now we can start dreaming about the next LIRR expansion in the future. I'm really looking forward to DM30 when it appears.

That's good! The less the better given that it's likely they will break at some point, and we'll end up with forever broken achievement like in TSW2 and 3.

 

Why couldn’t you have offered a PSN credit code along with the Xbox equivalent to those players who already own LIRR 1.0? Players could have sent an email with their GamerTag etc to make a claim. This always happens and it’s the same excuse every time - we couldn’t get it setup for this release. Why not? You know when it’s releasing!!!

 

I am curious to know how the SEHS Extended Route was handled differently comparered to this extention. Wasn’t the new SEHS free or at least had a large discount for all players across all platforms? I don‘t remember there being the same discussions there.

 

Its really hard to like DTG at times, they do some good stuff and then pull the rug from under your feet in other areas.

 

I don't understand this either. Did DTG run out of development time for this? I would imagine that having working door controls would be awesome in the conductor scenario.

Also, how will this work for the M3 Add on? Do you still need to have the old LIRR route installed for the M3 to work? That would be silly.

 

Stunned... I am NOT going to pay full price for un update to a route I already paid for in full in the past... I fully expected a much lower price for players who own the original LIRR route. This will have to be on sale with a reduction of at least 50% before I'm interested.

 

it kinda sounds like they wanted this addon released before a timeframe for the discounts available could come through from Sony and Microsoft.

 

It's because mta told them to probably due to the rise in people fooling around irl
