Feature Station Announcements

I know licensing plays a huge part in this but, i would love to see, well in this case hear, station announcements in game. I don’t mean the “No Smoking” announcements, i mean the announcements that announce the next train arriving at a platform or train delays etc. Obviously there would be a settings button so you can disable them and i guess it’s hard to implement them on current routes, but yeah.. just an idea

 

I wish the voices would be created by a voice contest under TSW players. Lots of us would love to make the announcement calls; even for free.

 

Yeah, no offence to Rivet Games and all, but the announcements that we have currently sound very lazy, especially for the Scottish Routes.. they don’t seem to enjoy their job

 

I would love for the authentic announcements but I know that it would be difficult. Onboard announcements are vital.

 

Those onboard announcements from the FC DLC sucks.. just sounds lazy.. and it’s way too slow.

 

"Welcome to........ [station]..... the next station is........... *falls asleep*"

 

There's big hope the Union Workshop's route will have much more enthusiastic sounding onboard announcements. They did them rather nicely in their Train Simulator Classic routes (with automatic playing on train passing specific location).

For me personally, I'd love to hear in TSW one day onboard announcements sounding something like this:
"Ibeonyeogeun {...}, {...}-yeogimnida. Naerisil muneun [oreun|wen]-jjogimnida. This station is {...}, {...}. The exit doors are on your [right|left]......... Churimmun tadsseumnida!"

 

and it’s painful that we can’t even turn them off

 

That would be pretty damn cool
