Hi all, with the announcement of the LIRR, I was wondering what happened to the US loco that was on the November roadmap last. As far as I know, there’s hasn’t been any word on where or why it disappeared. Here’s the November roadmap I initially thought that it was the MP36 or the M9 but with both of those being with the base routes, it leaves me puzzled. That being said, it leaves the question, what happened to it?
6+ months is quite far away which also means things can change very easily. Game development isn't always smooth and linear. Plans change all the time. They even changed the most recent roadmap to only include content up to 4-6 months and the 6+ month section was removed.
I thought it would be something for Antelope Valley. Early on in streams they were hinting at loco DLC for it. Can't remember exactly what loco though. Maybe now that's slated to be released with the other LA route now instead of being a loco DLC, I don't know. The US route mentioned in 1-3 months could have easily been LIRR for all we know -- but was destined to be held up by the licensing issues
A free updated LIRR for everyone who owns the original route and the M9 as a DLC for it does sound like a better deal to me.
Same goes for the german route above it. Once TSW4 was released they said there will come 3 german routes. But the third one completely disappeared from the roadmap since a few months (just like the US loco).
and the austrian loco too. either we as a whole community are not paying attention. or the removal of stuff from the roadmap, not fixing bugs that are mentioned and the change to less rolling stock and more map releases. the quiet ending of steam and american freight. there's a lot of stuff changing we all seem to notice and no community manager feels the need of giving any form of clarity on the matter. and if there is an answer. it's a random message in a thread somewhere instead of an announcement on either the announcement forum or roadmap. DTG feels more and more like talking to a wall. usually no response and if you scream loud enough you get a vague echo of the question you asked back at you neither confirming or denying anything. making the expectancy of living up to promises about 10%
Metrolink stock in modern day is mainly the f125 and mp36. There is the f59ph, but those aren't the main locos and there's only a couple of them
Perhaps that US Loco would eventually become the starter loco for TSW5? Among with other 4-6 months contents
Things change. The roadmap represents the plans at the time the roadmap is released, things move around. Matt.
