Another Update, More Broken Stuff

Seriously DTG, when are you gonna bring us some patches without breaking stuff on the game ? It’s honestly frustrating to have these issues now, that are probably never gonna be fixed later, the only thing you’ll say is “we passed it to our team, they look into it”. We know the music now, it’ll probably stay in this state.

Sorry if I sound a little bit angry but you have to understand me, I hate when something is working fine but for some reason, after a patch it becomes broken. When are you gonna take care of the game quality and finally, when are you gonna test before releasing a potentially defective patch ?

What am I talking about broken stuff ? Just look at the pictures below, I never had these prior today’s patch:

TSW3 released with a bunch of graphical issues that then got fixed with patches. TSW4 seems like the opposite, was pretty good on release but patches seem to be making it worse.

Yeah this is an absolute joke, sorry I forgot to precise on which platform I am. To answer everyone I’m on PS5

 

I'm flying around Bad Endorf but have not spotted these locations yet... PC. Is that east or west of Endorf?

Or on a more general note, always provide the service number you're driving. And which SEHS station is that, can't read the sign.

Edit: Found it myself, it's Gillingham.

 

For sure you have changes in the godmode or the engine.ini.... I know this problem.... the cause is by me not very clear the result i know... Delete such changes like engine.ini dynamic or the file in youre documents folder

I’m on PS5 I can’t do this.

Rail Journey, Chapter “Giving 111%”, service RE 79017.

It was at Gillingham station. That visual glitch occurred in an incoming Class 375, that weird long piece of (wall ?) was stuck on each gangway.

 

Sorry if you’re lazy to understand that I didn’t put the right prefix as it might happens on every platform.

 

Please add the right prefix what i already showed in the picture above!

 

Its not for me but very handy for the team to use so better do it than youre problem will fixed faster!

 

To Salzburg Hbf. This is happening randomly on the line to me, it’s not specifically on the same location.

 

Can't confirm if its a bug or not a bug, but I have had texture warping on other PS5 games exacatly like this. Try clearing the cache on your PS5 as documented here

This has worked for me when I had the issue in other games, so might be worth a try

 

So it might be a journey/rendering issue for SRM

 

I just did it right now, both clearing the cache and rebuilding the database from the safe mode. It’s still occurring randomly on some locations.

 

Who knows, I tried it on other routes and it’s fine, it’s only on Bahnstrecke and the Class 375 on SEHS.

 

Hmm, could also try moving the addon to another storage medium if you're using one (ie. internal > m.2 or vice versa), and possibly deleting the addon and re-downloading it again

And at an extreme but only do it if you're feeling masochistic, delete the entire game and download it again with just the one route to see if it occurs

Also possibly try running it on a different account on your PS5

All the above ahould at least help to rule out if it is bug or not

 

Thats what i should advice! Its an rendering issue so the game is missing some parts/textures or data. Thats why i react with the Engine.ini changes. If you ruined there some settings the route has to reload all the data and will runs good again. But here on the PS5 its the same issue but more difficult to restore. Its not the route but more a corrupt file.

 

It still could be the route, but really it needs someone else that owns the route on PS5 to test to confirm or not (I don't own it)

 

Yeah is for me a known problem as well! Better is to delete addon and Reinstall the addon it self. That should be the first step i guess before you discuss the problem is my opinion. You have to try to minimize the issues by Youre own system and if thats not the case open a topic

 

That SEHS phantom wall is hilarious. They should be extending routes, not minimising them lol.

 

Ah I didn't notice that was SEHS, thought they were all Salzy. MYG92 what service and loco (or station and time/date/weather if on foot) was that snap from, I own SEHS so can test on my PS5

 

I can when I get home this evening, unless someone else beats me to it.
So the images in question from MYG92 are PC tested I take it. I wonder how Xbox is fairing up also.

Nope I’m on PS5 I thought it might occurs to every platforms hence why I didn’t specify straight away.

 

I'm running RE 79021 right now. Everything in pristine order. No issues to report so far (apart from the level crossings closing too late, but that's a trademark already).

Will have a go on the mentioned journey after that service.

 

I deleted and reinstalled the route, even moving it from the main SSD to the M2 and this weird glitch effect is happening but just once, not a lot as seen from the pictures on the top. I even let around 20 Gb on both SSDs, to avoid any issues.

The service was the 9P50, I was driving the Class 700 and that “wall” was coming out the Class 375.

 

xbox is going poorly as we are waiting for Microsoft to get off there arse and give us the update which should be tomorrow

 

Okay I'll start that route up in the 700 in default date/weather and let you know what happens

Can confirm flying fences coming out of the back of the first train that comes towards you (didn't notice which it was) while travelling at speed, so it does look like there's a problem with the update somewhere
