oh great the bad news i was dreading the formations don't show in free roam now i have bad feelings about formation designer there goes my idea of putting the 1938 train on the isle of wight
Go through the usual spawning steps (left on D-pad etc), select the train you made the consist for (in your case either the 158 or 142), then use L2/R2 to scroll through custom liveries & custom formation tabs.
Been there. Done that. (Note I am a PC user though). So, hopefully you will be able to too. (Not everything spawns in Free Roam.........but the 1938 stock did for me).
Sounds abit easier now u say it like that hope things go smoothly when I finally get this god dam update (thanks microsoft )
Just created this in Free Roam. A 2-car CL483 passing a District Line liveried 6-car CL484 in the new loop at Brading. (Proof you should be able to get your 2-car unit on either route wearing a custom livery). As for the Bakerloo line 1938 stock then I have quite a few versions made when I was hoping to do a 1970s version of the IOW route. However the challenges associated with getting a decent timetable and opening up Ryde Esplanade PL2 put me off a bit. (I did make a 15 minute interval timetable that worked but lost it in a computer crash). Good luck
And yet, actually in this thread, there is already a screenshot of 2 1938 units working in Free Roam on the IOW route??? If 2 BKL 1938 units aren't enough then here's 4 of them in Free Roam in North London........but wishing they were on the IOW. And if 4 units aren't enough then here's 5 more wishing that they were still running on the pier in Southend.

You're welcome. Was it the Power button or did you have the wrong mix of coaches? (You need to have a pantograph coach and a motor coach in your formation). By the way, "Well Done" for quickly swapping your message. It meant that (a) I'm able to help you (feel free to ask more questions) and (b) I didn't have to use this "non-faked" image in my reply Does your Free Roam menu screen look like this? (Note you will only have 7-car options when you click on the highlighted button). Remember I am on PC so I have no idea what console menus look like? Try typing 1938 in to the search box if you are still struggling.
