guys, how about renaming this thread into a recipe thread and maybe move it into off topic, so we can share some recipes

 

I have some recipes of my own. However I usually just put in what feels right and see what comes out at the end. Surprisingly, it's more often good than bad.

 

I think it is better to make a new thread.

I was hungry last night. Had the worst idea ever...
1) Take a dryish "baguette"
2) Put some Raclette cheese in it. (The one with a blue/grey stripe)
3) Add some dry-ham
4) Microwave it for 30-45 seconds
5) Congrats now you have a soft "thing" that will send you to hell.
But wait !!! There's more
6) Take a small pan, add butter, an egg
7) Fry the egg and put it in the sandwich
8) Regret every steps you've made

 

ok, now... breathe in, breathe out, now you are going to regret even more muahaha

1. Take two big slices of toast, cut the whole inside and one of four sides of the crust as well, set the cuts aside
2. Put the three-sided crusts onto the pan, so they form a big rectangle
3. Put some bacon and onion in there, if you want, also some jalapenos, fry a bit, then smash two eggs in there... let the egg solidify a bit and STICK to the crust edges
4. Now flip it gently onto the other side and fry just a little bit
5. Fold and put on the plate
6. In the meantime, take the squares you have cut out and put a bit of cheese there... take it into wooden tongs (no idea how is it called, the tool you use to grab and flip) and first fry the open sides, so the cheese melts better, and then fry both sides a bit
7. Now you have a luxurious egg sandwich and another smaller cheesy one

I am soooo very tempted to post my recipe for my version of french crepes, but your brains would explode and I dont want to have to go clean it up lol ... I would never claim that they are the best in the known universe, but they usually disappear sooner than (insert some smartass comparison/analogy) ... got both sweet (to be filled with cream cheese+sugar or nutella or fruit or anything sweet, best topped with whipped cream and chocolate topping etc.) and "salty" (or better said, garlicky, to be filled with all kinds of yum)
